Fantastic bagel, fast service, friendly and patient staff, clean inside. Very good!!!

Toasted Egg Bagel with Hot Honey Cream Cheese
    Jerry P.

I went to Bagel Bazaar in Hamilton, NJ on a weekday lunch, having heard the kind of hype usually reserved for minor miracles and medium-sized comets. I ordered a toasted egg bagel with Fresno Hot Honey Cream Cheese, because life is short and subtlety is overrated. The bagel was solid, reliable, like a good chair that does not collapse beneath you. The cream cheese had a pleasant kick, just spicy enough to remind you that you are alive, but not so spicy that you must reconsider your choices. The place itself was bright and clean, as if it had been scrubbed by people who actually still have pride in their work. The staff was friendly, which is never a bad sign. So here's the thing: everything was good. I have no complaints. And yet. This location is no better than the two other bagel places I drive past to get here. And given the choice, I will usually support the independent little guy over a chain, because that feels like the right thing to do in a confusing universe. Still, a good bagel is a good bagel. Four stars.

Jalapeño bagel with scrambled egg and perfectly melty cheese
    Lauren D.

Got really cute swag at the grand opening but couldn't grab anything to eat that day. Asked my husband to go here instead of our typical Panera run today - definitely a great switch up! The bagels are perfectly crispy and not ridiculously fluffy (that usually stops me from getting bagels in the first place). Love that they have tofu cream cheese options and really different bagel and cream cheese choices (Oreo, smore cream cheese, rainbow bagels, etc). I got the jalapeño bagel (not toasted) with perfectly melty cheese and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. Would definitely get this and which again and excited to try all of the different options. Love that there is attention to healthier sandwiches!

    Fluffy eggs - great!

Hands down, the best bagels I've ever had! The grilled chicken wrap is a favorite, and the people who work there are incredibly nice.

They know what they're doing. I had an egg and pork roll breakfast wrap with cooper sharp cheese and potatoes. It was not simply good. It was built with care. Each bite made sense. The kind of sandwich that understands the human condition before noon, yet still works for brinner. I also got a half dozen buffalo wings. They arrived unapologetically. Crispy, tangy, just spicy enough to wake you up without starting a fight. They made me grateful for opposable thumbs. Now, as much as I enjoyed my food, my thirteen-year-old found it to be next level. He looked at the menu like it was designed in a lab specifically for him. Burgers. Hot dogs. Boba teas. Milkshakes. Breakfast all day. His eyes lit up like Christmas morning in July. He chose a jumbo chili hot dog and fried mac and cheese bites. He loved them both in a way that made me briefly worry he'd move into the restaurant. My father-in-law got the Greek Chicken Panini. He nodded. Smiled. Said it was very good. He doesn't say that often. It meant something. Most people come here for breakfast, and I can see why. But don't sleep on the rest of the menu. Lunch and dinner are equally worthy. This place understands what makes people happy and serves it without pretense. Five stars. No notes.

Had a lox and cream cheese on a rainbow bagel, a BEC on a Jersey bagel and an avocado milk tea and everything was great. The lox was fresh and the bagel was nicely toasted. We came here for brunch on a Saturday which happened to be Valentine's Day as well. The entire place was decorated with heart balloons, flowers on the wall, and the sweetest music playing. Even their regular decor is spectacular; the tables are spotless, beautiful velvet green chairs, and the cleanest bathroom. I also LOVE that their menu is a tour of South America because you can get such a variety of different flavors. We started with an order of their beef empanadas which were spectacular ! Then I ordered a Costa Rican Gallo Pinto breakfast (black beans, rice, chorizo, avocado, sweet pla trains and egg). Hubby ordered a exican breakfast of huevos rancheros (cubed potatoes, sausage, onions, peppers, chorizo, eggs and red sauce). Our son ordered the Nutella, strawberry pancakes which he also LOVED. Everything was very reasonably priced between $13-17 and was a good portion. The coffee was also amazing, sadly $5 which was a little pricey with no refills...but I'm happy to support a small business versus a chain. Kevin who was our server was so sweet and kept checking in to make sure we were liking our food. Then at the end of our meal they gave us the most delicious flan because it was Valentine's Day! Make aure to check this place out, parking is a little tricky, but otherwise it is worth the trip into Chambersburg.

My husband said the food was good but they gave him so little rice for his Costa Rican gallo pinto. It's nice to support small businesses perhaps if in the mood for fancy pancakes or BYOB would be back since they do have a pretty ambiance. No music was playing though when we were there. Service was not bad they didn't ask if we needed anything but when we did ask for stuff the answered friendly.

It was yummy but you're paying for the ambiance and ease of dining at a popular attraction. My French dip sandwich was good, the French onion soup was good. The bucatini pasta had a strong lemon flavor but the cuttlefish was a nice addition. Pavlova was interesting! Had never tried it before for dessert. Wouldn't get it again but I appreciate the variety. I would come here again absolutely and sit outside but just know what you're paying for and what time you're going.

Mike T, our server, was very busy but handled it with grace & charm. He made excellent suggestions and never steered us wrong. I started with the Blood Orange mimosa and it was delicious! My husband got the old fashioned and really liked it. We started with the delicata salad which was amazing. Very different and yet so tasty. For lunch my husband had a French dip sandwich and I had the chicken monsieur sandwich. Both were served with fries and both were good but nothing out of this world. The ambiance of the restaurant and seeing statues and guests walking around is exciting. Overall vibes were incredible and this lunch was one of the most expensive I ever had and I'd return. It is way more than just lunch and I feel it's more of an experience. It does not include admission to the grounds for Sculpture so plan accordingly.

3 and 3/4 stars…read more Someone said a "slice of Boca"? No, not quite. (Although "not Boca" isn't necessarily a bad thing.) However you look at it, the comparison is inflated. The latte was good (not delicious), but a tad watery with a fullness of flavor missing. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon and the place was busy, but not overwhelming so. Tables were full, but it was only a short wait for me to place my simple order (by coffee shop standards) of a small, vanilla latte. However, once my order was taken (yes, the wait-server was pleasant) and I paid, I was left to figure it out. First time in and so I didn't know what the deal was: do I wait where I am? Pick up at a different counter? Ok...but where? Does someone call my drink out when it's ready (there's no put-your-name-on-a-cup thing -- which IS annoying, but apparently can be more handy than I've previously thought)? Is the order stated when the cup is placed down? The person who waited on me had vanished into a gaggle of chatting and giggling girls behind the counter, so I asked another customer. (FYI: you wait at the perpendicular counter to your left of the register.) No big deal, but it's one of those "little things" that separates the four stars from the five. I moved to the "wait" counter and observed a few drinks being placed down -- all beverages in similar cups -- and had to (again) ask someone else for help (i.e., which order was mine), as the barista who made my drink put it down and then disappeared into that gaggle of girls. (Also minor, but another separator of the three and three quarter stars from the four.) In short, the latte was good, but not the best. The service? Ok, but not the best. The ambiance? Again ok. Maybe because I've lived in SE Florida for more than 20 years, but it definitely does not have that true Boca feel. Nonetheless, given the options in the area, Hamilatte is a welcome attempt at something different, and definitely a preferred choice to Starbucks. I will return if I'm nearby, but I won't go out of my way (as I do for a truly 5-star establishment).
