food was amazing and prices were fair. the fries were so crispy and flavourful, and my friend loved their breakfast burger (bacon added) as well. service was quick and attentive, even though it was quite busy when we went. the ambiance is average, nothing special, but it the food makes it all worth it. it was my first time there and i will definitely be back.

Since it is closeby, I made the trek up after work for dinner. When I arrived at the Golden Dawn Diner around 6 pm on a Saturday, it was crowded. By 7 pm, there was a wait. Clearly, the Golden Dawn Diner is a popular spot. Atmosphere: A The Golden Dawn Diner is an old school building. It's not a big, shiny, metallic diner, but it is older looking. The inside has plenty of booths, a full-length bar, and a dessert case too. I liked the interesting window design that separated many of the booths. Coffee: The coffee at the Golden Dawn Diner in Hamilton was good, but nothing to write home about. Food: Of the restaurants in Hamilton, NJ, the menu at Golden Dawn Diner has everything you want or need in a diner. There are plenty of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and a full page of specials.  They brought out a bread basket which came with regular dinner rolls as well as cornbread. The cornbread was delicious. I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for, so I decided to order the Guacamole Bacon Burger. I haven't seen that option before at a diner. The Guacamole Bacon Burger came with a lot of Guacamole. While it wasn't fancy or unique, it was a lot. The burger itself was excellent, and the french fries were usual streak fries at a diner. The meal itself was delicious. Service: The waitress was friendly, and my food came out quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better waitress at the Golden Dawn Diner. Overall Thoughts/Would I Come Back to the Golden Dawn Diner? I liked the Golden Dawn Diner (Hamilton). If I'm in the area again, which is likely since it's closeby,  I will be back.

The only catch was the kitchen put peppers and onions on top of, rather than mixed in, with my hash browns.

So when I used to work in L'ville and could get Route 1 Diner delivered through Uber Eats it was a treat indeed. I often ordered the turkey Reuben, omelettes, BLTs, fish sandos, and quesadillas. All good but the actual standout here is the STEAK FRIES! They are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. They're the best steak fries by far and possibly a top 3 restaurant fry of all time for me. Even by delivery they arrive crisp. I've since left that job near the diner but when I find myself in the area I can't help but stop in to get the fries. I was actually hesitant to do so at first - kinda like lifting the curtain back on Oz. But there's no trickery here - the waitstaff is friendly in person, the food is hot and fresh, and incredibly priced. This diner is such a gem and I am admittedly jealous of people who live nearby. Def stop in - well worth the trip. Enjoy my pics!

Such a unique and large space with seating on both sides (1 side is a coffee bar and the other is the kitchen). Their menu is so unique and they also have a "test kitchen" menu where they'll have creations from the kitchen that they make and if they're popular enough they make the big menu. Such a great concept. Their menu has so many delicious sounding items but I decided since it was my first time to try "staples" which was a sandwich and soup combo. The cheddar broccoli soup was spectacular! The flavor and heartiness won me over. I tried the pear and gouda panini as my 1/2 sandwich which was also quite tasty. Oh and my iced raspberry cheesecake cappuccino was my favorite! Soooooo dreamy. And the customer service was great too. The cashier was super patient with me as I took forever to review the menu and decide on what I wanted. I will definitely be back even though it isn't close to my home which says something. So happy I discovered this place.

It only occurred to me recently that I'd never said a proper thank-you. That's shameful. That's like borrowing your neighbor's snowblower all winter and forgetting to nod at them come spring. So here it is: thank you, Broad Street Diner. This is the review I should've written long ago. Four stars. Not five. Let's not go nuts. Perfection is the business of angels, and diners are run by people: gruff, charming, overworked, underpaid people who know the power of a hot turkey sandwich in a cold world. And God bless them for it. The daily specials are the real poem here. You know how people used to say, "You can't beat the value"? They stopped saying it because there's no value left in anything. But then Broad Street Diner waltzes in, swinging a Cajun meatloaf platter like a peace treaty, and suddenly I'm eating like it's 1993 again. The economy may be a flaming zeppelin plummeting into the sea, but somehow these folks figured out how to serve a full dinner: entree, soup, salad, dessert, the whole shebang, for less than the cost of a movie ticket and a bottle of water. I've had their fried clams, their fish and chips, their crab cakes, and each time I think, "Yes. This is civilization." Is it fancy? Hell no. But it's honest. It's generous. It's warm in all the places the news is cold. Do yourself a favor: stop pretending you're above diners. You're not. None of us are. We're all just scrambled eggs in the cosmic skillet. Broad Street Diner gets that.

Service was pretty basic. I don't know that it was bad but it certainly wasn't extraordinary. My Mom and Aunt both got salads. I got a hot dog plate and a side salad. My Aunt enjoyed her large house salad. My Mom really didn't like her Greek salad. I ended up eating most of it. They were VERY generous with the feta. Maybe too generous. I thought it was fine. I enjoyed my side salad. The hot dog was interesting. As described on the menu, it is two hot dogs, cut in half lengthwise, then griddled, then put on a hoagie roll. It was unusual. Not bad, just different. The hoagie roll was a bit chewier than a standard hot dog bun. The sauerkraut was good. I had asked for mustard too and they brough it on the side. Overall, an OK experience. I don't know that we'll be back if we are in the area again.

It was bitter cold outside, and the dining room inside was calm with only a few tables occupied as if everyone had agreed to be gentle with the day or perhaps remain in hibernation. I was led to a booth with a perfect view of the television already playing reruns of The Price is Right. My menu appeared quickly, followed by hot coffee that did its job without complaint. I warmed enough to begin to feel human again. After a few minutes the waitress came over and sat down on the bench opposite me to take my order. It struck me as both efficient and intimate in the best possible way. I ordered two eggs over easy with corned beef hash hash browns and an English muffin. She nodded as if this was sensible, and disappeared back into the kitchen. Then the place started to fill up. Not hectic, but certainly alive. People started filing in and it became immediately clear that I was surrounded by regulars. The staff knew everyone by name, and the customers knew theirs. People came out from the kitchen just to say hello. Stories were exchanged about recent trips, grandchildren and illnesses. This cafe was not just serving breakfast, it was serving continuity. This is a social institution disguised as a place that sells eggs. Despite being the only obvious outsider I was treated with the same warmth and attention as everyone else. No tests were administered, no paperwork required. The food arrived and it was good. It wasn't revolutionary, and that's exactly the point. Eggs and hash aren't supposed to surprise you. They're supposed to show up on time and do their duty, and they did so admirably. It was honest food, and it was affordable. The service was top-notch. Places like this are a dying breed. Town and Country Diner truly captures what makes diners special with its friendly service and an extensive menu filled with all kinds of comfort food. The value is incredible. Most meals come with two sides a salad and even a soup making it a complete and satisfying meal. I ordered the porterhouse steak cooked medium rare and it came out perfectly tender and juicy. My sides of fried eggplant and corn were delicious and the upgraded French onion soup was rich and flavorful. For about thirty three dollars getting a full steak dinner with soup and salad included is a great deal. The food may not be the fanciest but it is hearty tasty and served with care.
