I've been to this location a few times but this was the first time I sat inside. The outdoor seating is really nice but all the tables were taken so we sat indoors this time. For a Saturday morning it wasn't too busy inside we were seated immediately. I decided to get the works potato cakes since I've never had those before. The food came out very fast and everything was really good. My personal preference I would've gotten a different flavor of potato cakes instead of the works because I didn't really like the chicken in it but the rest was good. It's easy to miss if you're turning by the light because it's on the corner of the plaza. Our server was very attentive. Drinks all came quickly and at temp. Only downside is this PJ's doesn't offer brunch cocktails if that's what you're looking for. Love that there's plenty of breakfast options whether you're craving sweet or savory. I enjoyed my Brunch at PJ's as I was dining by myself on a busy Saturday morning/afternoon. I was told the wait was about 40 mins which was not a problem for me but I was seated at a booth in maybe 25 mins. This location is not that big so I understood the wait time. I ordered avocado toast with egg, which came sprinkled with feta cheese on a thick rye toast and a side salad. It's more like 3.5 stars, but I bumped it up to 4 because our server Julia was sweet and attentive without us feeling rushed, and got our dine-in and take-out orders correct. My family and I went to this location instead of the closer Kingston and Princeton locations because of the easier parking. We arrived at 8:45AM on Mother's Day because they don't take reservations, and we were second in line (waited about 5-10 mins). I ordered the eggs any style with bacon, and upgraded to two Nutella, banana, and strawberry pancakes on the side. The bacon was fatty and too oily, but I really enjoyed the pancakes. They are sweet because of the Nutella so be forewarned, but I was in the mood for something sweet that morning and the pancakes hit the spot. I'm looking forward to another PJ's opening closer to me in Montgomery, because it's a standard brunch spot that's needed in the area. read more

Around the Princeton area, PJ's enjoys a supernatural aura that suggests just snagging a table here is a bonafide happening apropos of a total eclipse or (God forbid) a living, breathing Republican on the University faculty. At many locations lines snake around the block for eggs, pancakes and french toast that are certainly well prepared but are, after all the superlatives and delirium, just "diner" quality. I've never left truly disappointed but I've also never left a fully fledged member of their ever expanding breakfast cult. If someone wants to drag you here promising unicorns and warm puppies dipped in buttermilk and maple syrup - go - but don't worry if you leave wondering what all the fuss was a about. Where do I start? I'm trying really hard to start out with positives as one should always do but from the time that we walked in perhaps we should've walked right back out. First the water carafes looks stained at least I hope it was just a stain. Although we ate inside the place was strangely infested with mosquitoes and I got bit all over. As for the food, not only is it very expensive, but both my guest and I left significant portions since it was barely edible. The only thing that I would give is a positive was that the eggs in my eggs Benedict were poached nicely however, the Canadian bacon was the size of a silver dollar on an enormous English muffin and the whole thing was covered in a sauce that looks like it was straight out of a can. Tastesless and the hash brown were equally unappetizing. My guest had a cheese and onion omelette. Neither one of us got anything else no coffee just the water and the total amount was 42.50 and we gave an eight dollar tip plus an eight dollar tip. We promised each other never to come back. We did not take any pictures because it would be the equivalent of a horrible crime scene and would not want to subject anyone to it. What an amazing place for breakfast. This location might be my favorite PJ's. So warm and inviting and the outdoor seating is perfect. The breakfast was amazing. They have so many options but I was feeling that I wanted a little of everything so I went with the Twofer which is two pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. Btw I added peanut butter and bananas to my two pancakes cooked into the pancake just how it should be done rather than some places that just toss the banana on the plate haha. This time I ordered an omelet with turkey sausage and spinach, a side of bacon, a fresh croissant with strawberry jaw, French toast and a s'mores hot chocolate. The omelet was good. A nice size, good amount of salt, and a good amount of sausage. There contained A LOT of spinach and some of it was not sautéed thoroughly, so I ended up taking some off. But overall a good omelet. The bacon had a nice crisp, and a good amount of slices. The croissant was very good. It was warm, flakey and the jam added a nice touch. The hot chocolate was AMAZING. Definitely something to get as we hit these colder months. The French toast was for my son so I did not get a chance to try but judging how he devoured them, I think it's safe to assume they were good. All, PJ's hit the mark as usual. Love this location of PJ's SO much more than the one in downtown Princeton! I came here on a Saturday at noon with my girlfriends and we were seated immediately. The manager was so sweet and ensured we would get a nice booth. The service was very quick, our waiter came immediately and was very accommodating to our detailed orders and customizations to the menu ingredients!! My needed gluten-free swaps and I asked for my omelette to be made with only egg whites and they were able to do that easily. The quantity of the food was also so large and I was so satiated even with just egg whites! There were so many veggies in my omelette so I was happy they didn't skimp on that. Came here on a saturday around 2:30 and there weren't a lot of other people there but it still took a long time to get our food. We got the slider sampler, which is the first time I've tried a non-breakfast item, and chose the steak, salmon, and crab cake sliders. The steak was very overcooked and couldn't really bite into it. The salmon was alright but didn't have much flavor. The crab cake was definitely the best out of the three but overall was average. What can I say, I guess I am bias I LOVE PJ's. I also love the fact that they expanded and are branching out to open other locations. I mean the one in Princeton will always be in my heart and soul. Now there's locations closer to me and with better parking lol. Mom and I went for breakfast. She had eggs and toast and I had the Pancake sampler. YUP! I had pancakes yayy. I got chocolate chip, banana pecan and blueberry. All of them were delicious right down to the last bite. Coffee was decent also and stayed warm in their mugs since we were sitting outside, which was nice. Menu is pretty decent. Our waitress was serving inside and outside of course. So she was difficult to find at times, but did check on us on occasion. I do like the outdoor seating arrangement and I hope they keep it. Next time I'm going to get their Pumpkin Pancakes, I do miss them, We had a wonderful and lovely breakfast. Their Pancakes are still so light and delicious. You don't feel weighed down by them. I might have to check them out for lunch one of these days, since I am always down that way now. PJ'S pancakes is obviously a hugely popular restaurant chain in the Princeton area. I've gone many times over the 5 years I've lived here and the food (pancakes/shakshuka/benedicts/etc) is normally really good. This review is about the pricing which has recently gone up quite a decent amount. Today my partner and I paid $18 for a stack of 3 pancakes and $13 for a single piece of avocado toast that was clearly made from preserved avocado mash (not fresh avocados). Honestly I had a feeling the avocado toast was going to be bad but everything else on the menu was like $18+ and I felt a little stuck like I had to order something and wanted to at least save a few dollars. These are ridiculous prices for simple breakfast food. Side items like "2 eggs" would have cost almost $7. Anyway if you are in a position to not worry about money, the food is usually good, but it's not exactly affordable. read more

They offer the large breakfast/brunch menu, made fresh with lots of options. Their menu specialized in the usual breakfast treats but we were amazed at how good the pancakes, crepes, and the french toast were. Plus they gave us generous portions of main dishes and sides. We tried Pancakes (Banana pecan) are fluffy & filling with lots of flavors. Crepes were savory and tasted very good. French toasts came with maple syrup, vanilla, raisins and strawberries. we were quite pleased with food. It can be really busy and sometimes long wait for a table around 11:00 am on weekends. But the staff does their best to turn the tables while service is excellent, fast and super friendly. Pancakes (Banana pecan) are fluffy & filling with lots of flavors.   Over all, the place is casual but with a touch of class. Racist, rude, and hostile hostess. I put my name down on the waitlist and gave my number. They don't have any space to sit and wait for a table so my friends and I walked a few doors down to wait inside a bakery. It was too cold to wait outside. Most establishments in the modern world send texts when your table is ready and give you 10 mins to arrive before giving your table away. When I looked at my phone, I had a missed call even though my phone had not rung due to poor service in that shopping center, and I called back TWO minutes after their call. They said they had seated another party that was after me. So, I walked back 1 minute later and asked to be seated and mentioned that it would be courteous if they give some more time to customers to make their way back to the restaurant. It was as though I unleashed the wrath of a rude and entitled high school student. I've never seen a hostess so disrespectful and condescending. I was calmly trying to resolve the situation but her behavior was so repulsive that the rest of my party decided that they wanted to leave. I cannot help but think that race played a role in her appalling behavior. Do better Pjs at west Windsor. Reconsider hiring ill-mannered, base, and racist hostesses. read more
