I visited this location while traveling in New Jersey. We do not have this restaurant in Western Pennsylvania. But I have eaten at this chain while traveling in New Jersey several other times. I receive coupons in the email, and just happened to have a five dollar off coupon that expired in a few days, that arrived in my email shortly before my travel occurred, which is why I chose to visit this location. I came on a busy Saturday at about 11:45 and because I was by myself I was able to get the last seat at the counter, otherwise the wait was 35 minutes or more for groups of two or more people. I ordered the kale juice which was kale, apple, lemon & was yummy. I ordered the summer special lobster avocado toast with 2 eggs over easy. The servers & all staff were very busy but pleasant. My meal was good, no complaints & they did have 2 nice chunks of real lobster meat on the thick whole grain toast. The only problem came when I went to use my coupon, they asked for my phone number which I gave them. And then they told me I was not in the system. Then they asked me if I could login on the app in which I told them I didn't know if I had the app because I don't have this restaurant locally and I only eat here maybe once a year but clearly the coupon had come to me in my email, and was due to expire on July 31 and this was July 25. Even though it was only five dollars it was the principle of I would've eaten somewhere else if I could not use this coupon. So although they were busy, I could tell that they were kind of annoyed that they had to go in the back and asked the manager and then there was some big production of having to enter my email and phone number into the app. This all seemed rather ridiculous considering most places if you have a coupon and it doesn't work and it's legitimate they can just take five dollars off your bill at the register not sure why that was not possible? Anyway, in the meantime of them going to the back, I managed to find the app get into it. Enter my phone number and email reset a password and then it showed that my coupon was in the app. Long story short I did get the five dollars off of the meal and then handed a five dollar bill to my server as her tip. This restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch and I believe it closes at 3 PM. It does get very busy weekend mornings. It's similar to a First Watch cafe if you are familiar with those. read more

Service and ambiance were on point, but unfortunately food was a bit off. I got the big easy benedict and the cornbread and chorizo flavors were there, but the eggs were pretty undercooked, which led to a stomach ache later. One of the eggs oozed uncooked egg whites, which you can kinda of see in the picture, but translucent whites were very apparent upon first cut. Potatoes were very salty, likely from heavily salted water. My partner had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and only ate one of three because it was dry and dense. On the flip side, my in laws enjoyed their french toast and waffle. Overall food was very hit or miss, okay for some, but wouldn't go out of my way to brunch here. read more

Came for brunch on Saturday around noon. We were on the waitlist and seated right in front of the host stand, but no one told us our table was ready until we asked. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes before anyone brought utensils or water, and we had to flag a server. They weren't super busy, so this was disappointing. The food was good overall. We ordered the Basic Skillet (8/10), Huevos Rancheros (9/10), Combo Platter (8/10), and Salmon Platter (7/10). The portions are generous and the potatoes were the best. The seasonal drinks (apple latte, pumpkin cold brew, salted mocha) were huge and delicious, while the fresh juices were much smaller but the same price, so I'd skip those next time. Came here for lunch. Place is big and bright. Good spot for brunch with SO, family and friends. Service was fine ... a little slow but server was friendly. We ordered the eggs benedicts (corn bread and grits on the side, and the other was the avocado one with potatoes and bacon). They missed the bacon my order came so I was a little disappointed, but happy food was tasty. We also got the caramel mochachino - loved it! To update my previous review, this has become my favorite go to spot for lunch. I just cannot get over the wonderful prices and delicious, good quality food. If this remains I will be back with friends and family many times going forward. Today I got the crispy chicken Caesar wrap and it was very good, but a little salty for my liking. I suspect it may be because of the bacon bits in the bottom. If I were to get it again I'd remove the bacon. The chicken inside was so tender and juicy and fresh. There was no skimping on this wrap!!! The chicken was phenomenal. In addition, I've recently been enjoying the Cuban sandwich here which is SO good. I've gotten it with my family on multiple occasions and it's so filling and generously portioned. It's my new fav! Keep in mind I take most of my sandwiches to go and it's about an 18 min drive home and it's still yummy when I get home. I stopped by Turning Point for breakfast this morning. What a wonderfully relaxed place--very low-key, absolutely no rush. After settling in, we spent about 10 minutes waiting for menus. It was actually quite peaceful. We became one with our hunger. Eventually, a waitress gracefully flung the menus onto our table while continuing to walk toward another table. She was clearly so experienced that she didn't even need to make eye contact. Impressive efficiency. We then spent a few minutes meditating on the menu before another waitress arrived to take our order. Her youthful, high-pitched voice transported me back to kindergarten. It was quite the nostalgic experience. We placed our order . Thirty minutes later, we were still enjoying each other's company and embracing the restaurant's unhurried pace. By now, we had spent about 45 minutes achieving a state of breakfast Zen. Finally, our food arrived (see attached photo). My "loose scrambled eggs" were cooked well beyond loose--perhaps even beyond scrambled--and were generously browned to the point of being burned. Needless to say, it was a unique and memorable dining experience. Whether I was zoning out or achieving enlightenment, I'm still not entirely sure. I do'nt think I'll be back. read more

The restaurant is conveniently located at the Mercer Mall where the Shoprite is located. We were able to get a seat without a reservation for Thursday brunch. This was my first time at this location but I've been to another one. It's in a strip mall with lots of parking. They don't take reservations and we had a big group -13 and it took them 15 ish minutes to figure out where to put us. It was breakfast so that's to be expected. We had to be separated by 3 tables. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was good. They messed up my sandwich but easily fixable, prices are good. Much more reasonable than another breakfast chain place in the area (PJs haha). I recommend but they should have a reservation system. read more

I usually love Turning Point but have never been to this location and it may have been a mistake ordering on Easter Sunday. Strawberry cheesecake French toast was dry and didnt come with the strawberry reduction. We ordered the nashville chicken benny- there was no sauce or hot honey on it and the waffle was extremely soggy and they gave us the wrong side. We went on Memorial Day. We'd been really craving a nice, sweet cold brew and we knew we liked the cold brew from here. Admittedly it was a little packed. There was a 30 minute wait time, which fine. But we were sat down, in the far back, at a dirty table with an equally dirty floor. And then, we waited an additional 15 minutes without any service, at which point my husband went to check what was going on at the front desk and learned we hadn't even been assigned a waiter. Finally, the waitress did arrive. We were excited to finally put everything that had happened behind us -- one nice, sweet cold brew would be the fix. And lo and behold, he restaurant was out of cold brew. Of course, we stood up and left. Look, I get the hustle bustle of Memorial Day. And it might be petty to exit a restaurant because it ran out of cold brew. But the cold brew was the tipping point of what was an overall inadequate outing. It's clear that staff was disorganized and stressed over what was clearly management's fault. Our waitress was apologetic and she seemed nice and respectful. But we were soured up from the whole ordeal and just wanted to be out of the place. Yea, wish it had gone another way. Ended up hitting a nice kebab place in Quakerbridge Mall and it was great! While the dishes appear to be fabulous and delightful, why would Turning Point put salt on their breakfast potatoes before serving it. I believe that people should be given the choice to add salt if they choose. I suffer from high blood pressure so I try to limit my intake of salt; however, if your restaurant is putting salt on the potatoes I have no way of knowing how much salt content is in the potatoes. I'm also a vegan so my choices are limited. I had the vegan pancakes, which does not tell you the sodium intake online or in the restaurant. So, now I can no longer eat the vegan pancakes or the breakfast potatoes because I don't know the salt intake. read more

After 30 minutes I asked how much longer it would take and she said they called my name and texted me 15 minutes ago. I ordered the Barbacoa Benedict which came on top of cornbread instead of English muffin which was a nice touch. It had avocado, poached egg, Barbacoa beef and topped with hollandaise sauce. The only bad things about it were the beef was a little sparse and there was a big egg shell in the eggs. My wife got the tropical crunch waffle which was good and a side of bacon. The waffle had a nice vanilla flavor and the toppings were fresh. The bacon was a little overdone for our taste. Lastly, the cappuccino was good and came in a huge cup. I would've gave it four stars if the hostess service was better in the beginning, if there wasn't a shell in my eggs, and if the bacon was fresher and not over cooked but I would definitely give it another try. read more

My girlfriend added us to the waitlist, and we were informed that our table would be ready in approximately 20-25 minutes. Because of this walked around the plaza to pass the time and we received a text message within 20 minutes letting us know our table was ready. Inside, I found the interior of the restaurant to be nice with its light-colored decor and simple atmosphere. Our waitress greeted us warmly and took our orders. I got the southern chicken & waffles without bacon, with a lemonade. The dish was delicious even without the bacon, and the lemonade, though slightly sour, was nice. My girlfriend ordered the basic skillet and found it to be tasty but wished there were more things in the dish. She enjoyed the cheesy potatoes. When we first walked in, we gave our names and phone number to the hostess and she stated, she will text us when an available spot is ready. We sat down nearby and started noticing people came in and just gave their names and were seated right away at the counter. We inquired why we weren't extended the same courtesy at the counter and the manager stepped in to explain it was a "first-come, first-serve basis." We understand that but we weren't given a spot at the counter and we were here before the other people who came after us. After ordering coffee and giving our orders, we were promptly served our coffee and about 15 minutes later, our entrees came. Hubby ordered the flight of pancakes and I ordered their special, Home Sweeet Home Hash. Both were very good. My eggs were poached over easy and hubby's flight was nice and sweet. Latrese was always great at checking to see if everything was going well and gave us a brand new coffee carafe when ours was emptied. They've got corny puns on their mugs and interior decor and it's quite cute. We came here on a Sunday morning and you can expect a wait. Totally up to you if you want to wait. The drinks are sweet and served in ginormous mugs lol. The food was filling and satisfying. We had to ask for a table and ask why we were waiting all that time. A table was ready but a few groups all waiting. We did get an oops sorry but that was it. Got the pick 2 with the cosmopolitan salad (which has their homemade cran-walnut chicken salad) with the honey dijon dressing and the chicken pesto panini. The panini wasn't very good, just very bland and lackluster. The salad was tasty and fresh--I enjoyed the fruit that was included. Friend got the vegan omlette and pancake, and really enjoyed it. Other friend did the pick 2 with a different salad and sandwhich and wasn't too impressed. I wish I'd gotten breakfast food, because it all looked so good. If in the area, I'd go back and try it. Not a huge deal, but the hostess ignored us for like ~20 seconds when we walked in because she was writing something down, so we just kind of stood around awkwardly and waited for her to greet us. Just a simple, "Hi! I'll be with you in a moment!" would be really appreciated. Anyway, she was friendly once she finished writing, and we were seated a few minutes later. I ended up ordering the Big Easy Benedict with the citrus dressed mixed greens and thought the meal was fine but nothing super mindblowing. I thought the citrus dressing on the greens was too sweet (maybe that's just my personal preference talking, though) and the eggs benedict was decent. Service was reasonably good throughout - they were definitely spread thin so I wasn't surprised when it took a while for the server to get back to our table. While I was visiting NJ my friend recommended this place for brunch. They had waiting and the way waiting was handled was little disappointing considering we called beforehand (staff/host were respectful). That being said, i loved the ambiance, menu and especially the French press. Coffee was really nice and it is served rock sugar (very Instagramable). Food was really tasty as well. I've always heard of this place but never been, today was a first. The pancakes were good and it was also my first time trying vegan pancakes they were pretty good. The fruit was fresh and the home fries were well seasoned, surprisingly I didn't even need ketchup, lol. The cold brew coffee was house made and brewed over night they said, it was amazing.
