We drove a few more minutes because of the reviews and it was completely worth it. Best diner of the trip. Service was fabulous but the food was excellent! Quality, Taste, and Huge amounts. We started with the crab and mushroom app, chicken empanada, and veg soup. 4 words, "melt in your mouth." Next the entrees were just as flavorful. The turkey burger was flavorful, moist, and Not gamey. Most excellent. The turkey platter was wonderful as was everything else. When we find our way back North, this is the stop!!

2 eggs over hard bacon hash browns and pancakes. Pancakes very good. Portion plentiful.

Friendly clean diner. It's a diner. Like a train car diner. Its cute. Staff is accommodating and coffee was fresh and hot. Food was lukewarm and not hot. Our group ate the following meals. 2 eggs over hard. Bacon Hash browns and pancakes Hamburger with fries coleslaw and pickles Chicken pot pie which came with a side and pudding jello or ice cream. Got the rice pudding to go. It was fresh and very good. Pancakes were very good. Hash browns good. Meal Could have been hotter. Hamburger was good and price is very good it is a great value. Chicken pot pie was ok. It was meh. Rice pudding fresh and good. Would return and try other meals. Good amount of menu options.

Waitress name was Denise, she was so friendly and attentive, I ordered T bone steak mid well it was on point flavor and all potatoes were soft the coffee don't know what brand , but it was delicious. My husband had the deluxe steak sandwich, he said it was less meat on steak mostly bread. But my food was on point. Lol

Visiting family and we got there super early so we decided to stop here for a quick breakfast. Essentially we ordered breakfast meals. I had pancakes with bacon and my gf had a ham, egg and cheese on an English muffin. The food was good but it's not like you can really mess up the order. I was not happy with the bacon it was a bit over cooked. I am not a fan of the overly crispy bacon.

Humongous Reuben and French Fries. Side of coleslaw and Russian Dressing with pickle.

I love Pat's. A long-time true diner in Trenton. Huge portions for the price. Extensive menu.

Recently, I rounded out Mercer County by going to my last diner (as of now) in the County. Even though it's one of the smaller counties, it is the first county I've completed. I arrived on a Sunday around brunch time and it wasn't overly crowded. I was hungry and happy to quickly get a table. Atmosphere: The diner looks like a locals favorite. It's fairly big with plenty of booths, tables, and a full length bar. The booths are cramped and I felt like I was sharing my meal with everyone. Coffee: The coffee took a while to get to us but once it did; it was one of the better coffees I've had. Food: Pat's Original Diner has many different options from breakfast, to lunch, and dinner. They don't have a lot of healthy options so if you're looking for that, this might not be your stop. I have been twice now and the second time I decided to order the French toast and Taylor ham. The French toast had cinnamon baked in which I definitely appreciated. It was light and fluffy. The scrambled eggs and Taylor ham were both good. Service: The waitress was nice but she didn't come around much. I could have used a lot more water and refills. M Overall/Summary: In all, Pats Original Diner started off rough but it did get better.

This is only one of there great dishes witch is Rigatoni Vodka

It's a small diner that has been there for over 100 years the food is great but the best part of it all are the owners John and las the are the best of going. First if one of the see you with a empty cup next thing you know you have a full cup in the next minute. They are so sweet. I one hundred percent recommended this diner if you are passing by a a little hungry

Me and my significant other really enjoyed the hospitality and customer service... Amazing Food!!

It only occurred to me recently that I'd never said a proper thank-you. That's shameful. That's like borrowing your neighbor's snowblower all winter and forgetting to nod at them come spring. So here it is: thank you, Broad Street Diner. This is the review I should've written long ago. Four stars. Not five. Let's not go nuts. Perfection is the business of angels, and diners are run by people: gruff, charming, overworked, underpaid people who know the power of a hot turkey sandwich in a cold world. And God bless them for it. The daily specials are the real poem here. You know how people used to say, "You can't beat the value"? They stopped saying it because there's no value left in anything. But then Broad Street Diner waltzes in, swinging a Cajun meatloaf platter like a peace treaty, and suddenly I'm eating like it's 1993 again. The economy may be a flaming zeppelin plummeting into the sea, but somehow these folks figured out how to serve a full dinner: entree, soup, salad, dessert, the whole shebang, for less than the cost of a movie ticket and a bottle of water. I've had their fried clams, their fish and chips, their crab cakes, and each time I think, "Yes. This is civilization." Is it fancy? Hell no. But it's honest. It's generous. It's warm in all the places the news is cold. Do yourself a favor: stop pretending you're above diners. You're not. None of us are. We're all just scrambled eggs in the cosmic skillet. Broad Street Diner gets that.

Their beer list was short and mostly macro, but they had a rotating craft IPA (Fiddlehead IPA on my visit). The room we sat in was covered with retro signs on the walls and a couple of TV's with sports playing. The waitress recommended a bar pie with sausage and their cheesesteak. My son and I split both. The bar pie was sizeable, fresh and had a wonderful snappy crust. The chunked tomato sauce was good, but could have used a little more flavor, cheese was fresh and had just the right amount. The small chunks of sweet sausage were delicious. As for the cheesesteak, well the roll was fresh and the meat was alright, but the quantity of meat was disappointing. I would say it's just about average if that, but the bar pie made up for it. I'd give JoJo's the clear edge on Pete's bar pie, but honestly I liked the ambiance and older feel of the tavern at Pete's. If I lived in this area Pete's would be in the rotation of spots. My top 3 highlights for Pete's are: casual ambiance, pizza, and the basket of garlic wings & ribs. Our friends invited us to Pete's about two years ago and we have keep coming back ever since. It feels like the type of bar where you go and run into your neighbors or you can just sit at the bar and make a friend. The servers are very friendly and really make you feel at home when you are here. The restaurant doesn't seem so big from the outside but it is HUGE, and great for both small groups or larger ones. They have an array of random quotes and memorbilla around the walls to keep you entertained while you eat as well. As for food they have a variety of excellent bar food like wings and cheesesteaks, but also a full menu of amazing dinner food. Normally we like to get a few appetizers like the clams in red sauce (ask for bread), the basket of garlic wings with ribs and fries, and a pizza pie. Speaking of pizza, the kids pizza pie is huge and a great price (in addition they have a few other options which we love). As for drinks, the bartenders make a good drink, especially their summer sangria. And if you are a beer drinker, they also have a decent selection. Overall, we are big fans and have considered moving to Hamilton just to be closer.

Time flies!…read more I was driving by this morning after court, having skipped breakfast at home in order to get a jump on traffic going into the city. I saw a new sign out front on a Bud Light white board that breakfast was now being served 7 days a week! Hot diggity! I parked out back and walked in to a mostly empty bar (2 customers who looked like they were regulars). The bartender approached and we engaged about their breakfast menu. It was pretty wide open if my desires had anything to do with eggs. They did. I opted for a sausage, egg and cheese on Kaiser roll, and mug of java. While it was being created in the kitchen I watched a show about exotic car auctions. A Borgati opening at a cool million bucks was an eye opener. Another black transport used by John Lennon around London was also put up and sold. Pretty cool entertainment. The sandwich was great! Double patty, fried egg, American cheese and a fresh, quality roll, made for a tasty and fun meal. The side of homefries was likewise excellent - hot, crisp and spicy with sautéed onions in the mix. Coffee, strong and kicking. The only shortcomings were the lack of a joe refill offering, and lack of utensils. Luckily, I had a spoon from the coffee, which was fine as a shovel.
