Lots of cute decor. The fresh rose was a nice touch on the table too

1st visit - and I HOPE so much to return soon!! Service was friendly, enjoyed their sweet treats and cafe mocha. I tried a strawberry (mousse) dessert. It was sweet and fresh tasting. My husband had the shakshuka and said it was fresh & light (and that he would definitely have it again). The decor is just too cute here too. My only suggestion for improvement would be to lower the music volume ever so slightly. I am so happy we came here, it was a memorable spot to visit.

We stopped in for a quick warm up on a windy day, ended up getting a strawberry pastry and a chocolate caramel one that satisfied the sweet tooth my partner and I had this Halloween. There were chandeliers made of plants and earthy vibes paired with sculpted rope lighting artfully integrated into the walls.

    Amazing breakfast!!

This café is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the coffee is always fresh and delicious, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. I stopped in for breakfast and everything was amazing . It's the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, or get a little work done. You can really tell they care about quality and customer service. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

We love it here and come at least once or twice a month. The desserts are beautiful and delicious. Their brick oven pizza is better than most places we have tried. The coffees and teas are too notch. And the decor is incredible. But the BATHROOM decor is so fun! Staff does get overwhelmed but they are always doing their best. They never get frustrated, just busy. Highly recommend!

This European-style café offers an eclectic atmosphere on the north side of the town. Serving breakfast and lunch/dinner from 9 to 9 daily, they also have a very good bakery too. The service was prompt and attentive. Street parking veas easily available.

I live in town and Vanilla cafe has been my go to for quick stops for coffee and pastries and for sit down meals with the cozy atmosphere and great menu options. The interior design is so unique and fun, even in the bathroom and the whole staff is warm and welcoming.

Yesterday, my 15-month-old daughter and I spent the day visiting New Hope. After an emotional week, we decided to stop at The Vanilla Café. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was amazing - you could tell that every detail of the space had been thoughtfully designed. It was a busy Saturday afternoon during lunchtime, and after I sat down, a very kind young waitress came over to apologize that all of their high chairs were currently in use. Normally, that wouldn't have been a big deal, but after a draining week -- learning that my grandfather is dying of cancer - and a day that hadn't gone quite as planned, I just broke down. I felt defeated and was ready to drive the three hours home. The waitress was so kind and said she'd check the basement just in case there was another high chair. Then John, the manager, came over, apologized sincerely, and showed such compassion. His kindness was unmatched, and he went above and beyond to make things right - even though it wasn't the restaurant's fault at all. We ended up leaving for about twenty minutes so I could collect myself, and when we returned, we had the most wonderful lunch. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff were all incredible. What started as a hard moment turned into such a meaningful reminder of how a little kindness can completely change someone's day.

It's pretty inside and I do like the tea they have but the food is ok and over priced. I'd come back for tea but not for food.

Two words: Breakfast Sandwich!…read more Cafe Duet is a great little spot tucked away by the Monroe County Courthouse. They have great coffee, pastries, small bites, and lunch options. The breakfast sandwich is phenomenal! As their menu states, it consists of "two organic eggs, split and grilled Spanish chorizo, sharp cheddar cheese and baby arugula on a fresh baked roll w/ a touch of sriracha mayo." The eggs are cooked perfectly! The contrast of the cheddar against the chorizo and sriracha mayo is wonderful and the peppery arugula comes through at the end. I would eat one every morning if my wallet/waist could afford it! The cafe is both large and small (you'll really only understand if you go) but I never have an issue finding somewhere to sit. In the warmer months, it's really nice to sit outside in their patio area. The staff is always accommodating and the place is well kept. Sometimes you wait a bit for things but it's never super long and they are pretty good at keeping you in the loop if there's an issue. Definitely a great spot worth checking out!

The coffee to milk ratio was good and the chocolate flabor was not too overpowering- it still tasted like a latte and not hot chocolate. It wasn't watered down, and was still rich and creamy. The americano was a good cup- straight to the point and robust. We also had the banana nut bread and the pistachio-cranberry-white mocha chip biscotti. Both pastries were pretty good. Some tables had ordered hot food like waffles and soups, which looked pretty good and we might try this place out for a snack or breakfast in the future. Interior is pretty with plants, a record player playing jazz, and clean tables and chairs. Service is friendly, interior is old world charm, coffee and pastries are great. Public parking, ccs, Apple Pay. Public metered parking. Would recommend!

They were very sweet and happily accommodated our 7mo old daughter with a highchair (and buttered rigatoni!). Our reservation was a 6:15, and we were promptly seated in a beautiful part of the dining room. They had vases full of garlic scapes, peonies, hydrangeas. The decor and ambiance was beautiful. On each table, they had a small vase of fragrant herbs. The dinner is $95 and three courses. We chose from an entree list of duck confit, hake, and summer risotto. We chose the hake and duck to share, The first course was an herby salad with little gem lettuce, bacon, and crispy croutons. I love an herby salad so this was very delicious. The hake with hollandaise sauce and asparagus was good perfectly, it was a really delicious, plump piece of fish. The Eaton mess for dessert was fabulous. Berry preserves, berry sorbet, vanilla ice cream, and merengue. A winning combination. I definitely recommend as a destination restaurant along this cute Delaware River town. PS it's BYOB!

The food, however, was something of a disappointment; for a restaurant with this many accolades and a very small menu, I would not expect the confit to be dried out or the sole to be dry and mealy. I love almond cake, but again, it had five minutes too long in the oven. Felt the chef's attention was not on their timing.
