Another great breakfast at Chive. 3 people, 3 different orders 3 happy guys. The vibe, the food, the ambiance is back.

I have a new review. This one is for their pop-up dinner nights. They have pop-up nights, I think 3 times a week. Today we finally tried it for dinner. It was sensational. I was blown away. Service has always been great at Chive and it continues to get better. There weren't too many people waiting in but I did notice a lot of take out as we waiting for our food. But the food, that was the star tonight. Out of control meatloaf and burger. We will be going here for their pop-up dinners again. Just loved every bit

It was recommended to me by friends, so I went to Chive cafe for breakfast. Terrific! I went with the Black Bean Breakfast Burrito, Salsa Fresca, Scrambled Egg, Pepperjack Cheese & Avocado in a wrap (#6 on the menu), and it was delicious. In addition, I ordered well-done home fries. Crispy and outstanding. I had decaf that was also superb. The service was great. The place is small so plan accordingly because they get busy. I will be back.

I enjoyed a wonderful salad with sundried tomatoes, beautiful greens , carrots and cucumbers. Delicious and so fresh. My friends enjoyed their pork plate and flounder! Always magnificent service here ! And it's wonderful to see the local art featured on the walls too !!

TLDR: quaint cafe with friendly staff, quick service, and solid food all for a great price I dropped by for a quick lunch and was impressed. The burger was simple and checked all the right boxes of a delicious burger: great sear, juicy, loosely packed and soft, well seasoned, balanced toppings. It's also worth noting that the fries were great too - they perfectly crisp and stayed that way through the end of lunch. The entire experience was quick and casual. We got our food lightning fast. The staff was friendly in helping us and chatting with us before and after the meal. Great value too: Two entrees and a side for around $30. I would definitely come by again if I was in the area.

This place is such a charming brunch spot in Lambertsville! Came here on a Wednesday for lunch around 12:30pm and the place was pretty empty by 1pm the place was buzzing with customers Ambiance - quirky and stunning art work line the walls and are ready for purchase - plenty of natural sunlight Service - staff was attentive - food came out quickly Food - Roast beef and roasted red pepper panini: the bread was perfectly toasted, cheese was perfectly melted, roast beef was hearty and the roasted red pepper added a good tang to the sandwich. Macaroni salad was perfectly seasoned and paired well with the sandwich! - fried artichokes: a perfect light starter! Artichokes were crispy and came out hot. I've never had fried artichokes before and now this is one of my fave appetizers! Definitely stop by this place if you're in Lambertsville!

The place is fairly big, but it was a bit unclear where to go at first since people were gathered right by the entrance admiring the floor. I happened to be in New Hope, and I found out they have a New Hope location, so I went here instead. From the get go it was obvious they were understaffed. There was one worker who had us wait at the front for about five minutes before acknowledging us. She did apologize and explain at the end when we paid that most of the regular staff was out sick. We ordered the truffle fries, French Toast, Chicken sandwich, Benedict, dessert (mango and strawberry mousse), and some drinks. While we were waiting for our food the servers kept on bringing us wrong food (meant for other tables). I specifically ordered their house coffee, and they brought an espresso shot in a mug with hot water in a teapot. That's an Americano, which was a separate menu item. I said I did not order that, and the server insisted I ordered it. I told them I ordered their house coffee, which I presumed to be drip coffee, and they said this is how they serve it as it was "basically the same thing." I would have been okay if they said they are out of their drip coffee and this is the best they can do, but I found this behavior odd and dishonest. The food was mid, pricey for their portion (ex. my Benedict came on a dinner plate which accentuated the small portion size; the photo does not do justice). The best, most reliable dish we ordered was probably the truffle fries. Adding a star because the dessert was good. The strawberry was a favorite in my group, and the decor is also done nicely. However, I got the impression this place was trying to compensate for the mediocre food and service by focusing on pretty tableware and vibes. It is Instagrammable for sure. Beyond that, I will most likely not be back.

Our order: a carrot Morning Glory muffin, a breakfast sandwich (two organic eggs, grilled Spanish chorizo, sharp cheddar, baby arugula, and sriracha mayo on a fresh-baked roll), a HUGE chocolate milk, a mocha latte, and some spreadable cashew cheese to-go. The café itself is tiny--just enough space to place or pick up orders--but it's full of eclectic charm. There are a few tables out front, some indoor seating, and a hidden garden patio in the back that makes it feel like a secret hangout spot. The vibe is funky, cozy, and very "local favorite." The staff were super friendly, which made the experience even better. The food was fantastic! The muffin was moist, flavorful, and big enough to split. The breakfast sandwich was perfectly portioned for two, with that warm, lightly toasted roll stealing the show alongside the chorizo and sharp cheddar. The chocolate milk was rich and perfectly chocolaty, and the cashew cheese spread was salty, nutty, and delicious on crackers. We sat outside on the sidewalk café tables and watched the town slowly wake up around us. Between the great food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the little details that make it special, it's easy to see why locals recommend Café Duet as a "must try." We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!
