First time visiting this quaint coffee shop and ice cream parlor. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to try the ice cream. It was busy to the point that most of the tables were occupied, but not so busy that there was a line. They have limited seating consisting of a few cocktail sized tables and some window bar stools. For the ice cream counter, it looks like they do small batch homemade flavors, which I'm guessing rotate from time to time. They allow you to taste test the ones you're interested in, before making your actual selection. I sampled the Guatemalan Ripple and the Chocolate Lace. As someone who doesn't actually drink coffee, I do like coffee flavored ice cream. The Guatemalan Ripple had a nice bold flavor, with small chocolate chunks mixed in, and I think a possible hint of a hazelnut flavor. The Chocolate Lace was a vanilla base with a hardened chocolate drizzled throughout. Since I usually have trouble deciding on just one flavor, I opted for a 3 scoop cup. I got the Guatemalan Ripple, Dark Chocolate & Chocolate Lace. Each flavor was delicious on its own, but the combo of all three was heavenly. The Dark Chocolate was rich and decadent and intensified the deep coffee flavor of the Guatemalan Ripple. Those flavors complimented perfectly with the creamy vanilla & crunch of the Chocolate Lace. Total cost for 3 scoops: $10. Worth ever penny! read more
