Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Matcha

Mama Hawk's Kitchen & Coffee is giving cozy main character energy. You walk in and immediately, boom, fireplace on the right, like they want you to relax and stay awhile. The seating works for both couples having a cute coffee date and groups catching up, which I appreciate. They've switched to a kiosk ordering system, and honestly? Kind of a win. Both kiosks can be used, orders move faster, and the staff can focus on making drinks instead of juggling a line. The only downside: no cash and no non-chip gift cards, which feels very "welcome to the future, hope you're prepared!" The staff is genuinely pleasant and even offered to remake my drink if anything went sideways, which automatically earns brownie points. Fair warning though: when it gets busy, it gets TIGHT. Like, "excuse me, sorry, I'm just existing" tight. That said... the drinks are absolutely worth the mild inconvenience. Cozy vibes, good coffee, and friendly staff? I'll gladly come back and do it all over again, preferably during a slightly less crowded moment.

Loved the Luke's Diner themed Gilmore Girls popup they're having right now! Such a fun experience with great specials offered that fit the show perfectly. The coffee and coffee cake were delicious. One of the best cold brews with foam I've ever had. The line was super long but they did a great job moving it fast.

Pet friendly and welcoming staff- My partner and I came here for a weekend trip, visiting the small town of New Hope, PA. It was a great way to start our day of adventures. There was plenty of lounge space and they had a fireplace to sit by. 3 shots of espresso in the large latte !

Such a cute spot and love that they have a Gilmore Girls pop up for fall! They have some really fun creative drinks! I got the Dragonfly Inn Matcha and it was soooo good! Also their cinnamon bun was one of the best I've had. The staff was nice and even though it was packed when we went we honestly didn't have to wait too long for our food/drinks. They have a good amount of seating both inside and out but it did get pretty busy so just keep that in mind.

One of the many cafes in Peddler Village. Really extensive menus with lots of drink and food options. But the place is packed we ended up waiting like 15 min just in line and then another 10 for 2 iced drinks. The line wraps around the store so sitting down for a bite wasn't really an option as customers are standing around all the tables waiting and there isn't really any room to get to them. The iced coffee was good but the matcha was a "do not recommend".

Loved the ambiance and decor, a very cozy spot. I ordered a decaf cappuccino with oat milk, it was good but wish the espresso flavor was stronger (might just be their decaf).

Came here while visiting the area enjoying the fall festivities. Unfortunately, the other reviews are spot on. Painfully long wait lines that seem to be a result of an overstocked menu with more drink options than the business could ever hope to keep up with (see photo). We ordered a regular cold cup of apple cider, and an apple cider smoothie. I wish I were exaggerating when I said we waited 30 minutes from our order time of 1:21 to our drink pick up of 1:50 something, I stopped counting after 30 minutes. The drinks were fine, but not worth waiting 30 minutes for. Especially since we didn't even order food! Just disappointing, underwhelming and overcrowded. By the end we wished we never even went in. Wouldn't recommend, and surely won't be returning.

First time visiting Mama Hawk's yesterday with family. My wife and daughters have been in a few times and told me good things. The interior vibe is adorable and cozy. We were a party of six and found a large table to accommodate all of us. The village wasn't too crowded yesterday which probably helped our experience :-). The service was fantastic. Friendly and attentive folks behind the counter and bringing out our food order. The food...absolutely delicious!!! We ordered a few paninis and flatbreads. We had the "I'd Die for BBQ" and the "Can't Touch This Caprese". Both were amazing, especially the BBQ sandwich. Bread was perfectly toasted and had the perfect crunch. We also had the "Caprese Lover's" flatbread which was also fantastic. Highly, highly recommend. The drinks were also great even though I had a Hank's Birch Beer. I did try my wife's coffee drink.

    Lucky Charm Oatmilk Latte

I'm really into strawberry + coffee combination lately, and this latte did not disappoint. I loved this monthly Lucky Charms special, complete with a marshmallow topping. The ambiance in this place is also so cool. Would love to come back to try their food!

We were looking for a snack while wandering through Peddler's Village and happened to come across this spot. It was crowded during our weekend visit though we were able to get a table. The cinnamon bun was okay - nothing to write home about. My friends ordered a pizza and grilled cheese which were fine as well but nothing special. The food takes a while to come out but drink orders were completed pretty quickly. This restaurant has a casual ambience. We did enjoy the little live counter they had up on the wall that changes to reflect their number of Instagram followers - definitely a cute touch.

Lovely little place. But 20.5 minutes for a bagel, hot chocolate, and smoothie is far too long to wait.

I then tried to go to their location in pipersville based off hours online - but they weren't accurate and were also closed. I tried again to come back to this location and finally got to check it out. The interior is very cool. There is not a lot of seating at all. One long table with some stools and one or two tiny two seater tables. There was on barista working and that was it. He was nice and answered my questions. I got the creamsicle iced latte - it was maybe 16 Oz for $8 . The coffee was very good - it had a decent drink to ice ratio. I didn't taste much of the flavor until I was almost done my drink and then it was very concentrated and overbearing and bitter. They used an oil and it was just very strong. Maybe I'll be back, I'm not sure - but just for convenience factor probably not. Cool if you can get a seat though as the inside is very earthy with lots of bonsai trees. I think they take their craft seriously - I should have just stuck to something plain without flavor. Their matcha might bring me back !

I just had to come out of Yelp retirement to write this review…read more We visited New Hope, PA for a few days and decided to hop into this coffee shop before heading home. The interior is very nice, with a lovely communal table, impressive bonsai trees, and bright lighting. But, I certainly would not include the cold and prickly barista as part of the nice vibes. It was early morning when we visited and this man seemed to don a perpetual frown on his face, coupled with an air of annoyance. There was not a single friendly exchange, and as a customer, you almost feel unwelcome in there. It's kind of strange when they don't want your business. I can let all that slide if my beverage was up to par, but, sadly, that was not the case. I paid an arm and a leg for mid-tier lattes that were barely above room temperature. The menu is quite interesting and I have no doubt they use quality ingredients, but even in an economy of heightened or runaway inflation, there is still no excuse for such an exorbitant upcharge, regardless of whether you use ceremonial grade matcha or provide cashew milk as an alternative to dairy. In no world should my two lattes cost over $20.00 unless you sprinkle them with edible gold dust. I'm used to paying a little for high-priced coffee and I see it all the time at the artisanal and hip coffee shops I visit at home in NY. Brooklyn alone has some of the most curated and vibey ones you could ever imagine, so I'm done batting an eyelash when it comes to such coffee shops. Shockingly though, Amsterdam Coffee Bar was even pricier than those spots! It made me suspect if some of that upcharge is to fund their obsession with bonsai trees (which in turn, they flip and sell here). I don't think I need to tell you that peddling bonsai plants and gemstones is a little on the tacky side. Another surprise is that this place is not even in the downtown area so high rent doesn't seem as though it would be a factor. I wouldn't say it's located in the sticks, but, it's certainly a bit more remote and not in a touristy or prime location. A hyper local coffee shop like this should not be charging as much as they do. It's a shame that the locals are being priced gauged all for "decent" coffee. Now I've read some of the snarky Google responses from the business owner and I'm sure he's got an obnoxious retort in the chamber to unleash on this review, but, no bother. I know that they care about customer feedback or else they would not have that Instagram follower counter hanging on their wall! To the locals and visitors here's a PSA; you don't need to go to Starbucks or run off to grab the coffee special at Wawa if you're looking for a respectable coffee shop. There are alternative spots where they respect you enough to appreciate your business and charge reasonable prices for their goods. I would highly recommend Native Cafe in Doylestown, PA (less than a 15 min drive from here), and that place was 100% fabulous. Expect immaculate vibes, service, coffee, and a delicious menu. You won't find bonsai trees or gemstones for sale there, but you'll get a warm and cozy Hygge atmosphere all for free and chances are high that they will even smile at you for your business.
