My experience with Press-Tons Moving was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel obligated to warn others through this review. Expecting a smooth transition, what I encountered instead was a series of disappointments that left me feeling cheated and distressed. From the get-go, the professionalism I anticipated was missing. After locking in our move date well in advance, Press-Tons Moving blindsided us with a last-minute notification pushing our time back by hours, throwing our entire schedule into chaos, including rearranging access with our building. The day of the move further amplified my concerns. The movers showed up later than the already delayed time, without a hint of apology for the inconvenience caused. Their disregard for our belongings was immediately evident; items were handled carelessly, resulting in visible damage to furniture that had been in my family for years. But the disappointment didn't stop at their lackluster handling. Upon arriving at our new home, it became painfully clear that our items were not treated with care. Furniture sported scratches and dents, and boxes labeled "fragile" were found haphazardly stacked, leading to broken valuables and irreplaceable family heirlooms shattered beyond repair. When I confronted the movers about the damages, their response was defensive, showing no remorse for their actions. To add insult to injury, the bill presented at the end of this fiasco was astronomically higher than what was initially quoted. Confronted with a litany of hidden fees and charges that seemed to appear out of thin air, we felt utterly exploited. Seeking clarification and fairness from their customer service proved futile, as we were met with ambiguous answers and a steadfast refusal to adjust the charges. MOVING ????? 2 Miles, 2000 miles or downstairs. Problem solved! I cannot say enough about this guy and his crew. Preston, James and Cody were professional, courteous, polite, charming, caring, and hard working, seriously to say the least! Cost is comparable if not better than most I looked into. Their help with taking care of donation items and pantry items to those in need, even offering to sell items I did not have time to, or was unable to take with me and send me the money. During an emotional time, Preston's go to motto was, "I got you Miss Kim" and he did! His crew never wavered or took 10 minutes for themselves. In March I was all set to move. I rented the u haul and a friend helped me get it loaded (not well). The next day I got up early and drove to my new spot. I sat there for a few hours and none of my friends that were supposed to help showed up. Unsure of what I was going to do, I reached out to u haul and they put me in touch with Preston, the owner. He quoted me 3-4 hours over the phone but when they showed up and got the truck unloaded for me in 2. This included putting each box in the room where it belonged. I was charged a more then reasonable price and they truly saved as much as I spent not having to rent the truck another day. Highly dependable, started with good communication. Sent out an emailed proposal promptly. After are initial Conversation , PRESTON began the moving day, letting me know details on work order and equipment on site when we arrival at the load .......hour out from location. Professional with an athletic team. moved all my stuff in a very timely manner. A lot of heavy items handled extremely wirh details and took amazing care and caution with all my fragiles.
