A nearly 500 lb. wood burning stove was needed to be move from outside, up 4 steps and then set in place on the brick hearth. Leadman Michael, and his crew of two, arrived On Time as they had committed to, Rapidly but Carefully moved wood stove up the steps, through the door without hitting door, door jam or walls, or scraping/scratching the wood stove. Then they moved and positioned it perfectly in place on the hearth. Poor experience here for many reasons. They hired a person who can only communicate through charades. He doesn't speak english, but a unique dialect not in google translate. On the packing side, it was ok except he left a dolly blocking my neighbor's sidewalk. No biggie, I moved it. The other side became a giant problem when he loaded the elevator w my belongings without anyone w them. Of two elevators, he put dollies in front of one while putting things here and there in between other people using it. Two elevators for seven floors. He placed things in the middle of the hallway upstairs too and my neighbors were going back and forth. I asked them not to take any cleaning supplies and my broom disappeared. They had it. I have a patio to sweep and made arrangements for two days to get it. He didn't meet as he planned, then told me to chase him to get it. Really? Not sure why I tipped them, it was not a great experience when one person causes problems and can't be communicated with. Told he's been in the US five years. I imagine that's very difficult for him, but when I can get charged HOA fees for basic principles (not blocking elevators, passageways and hallways unattended for extended periods) it is unacceptable. read more

They broke our stuff and destroyed our floor in our new house. One guy did all the work while the other one literally played on his phone. Then when I asked him to stay off his phone he was extremely disrespectful. They barely got anything into the correct rooms. I called to talked to the office about it and was told we would be reimbursed for broken items and a floor guy they knew would fix our floor. She said she'd email us by the end of the week. She never did. Now they will not answer or return any of our calls. If you value your things and don't want to pay someone to play on their phone chose a different company. They also threw their empty Gatorade bottles on the floor of my house instead of using the trash. If you do use them ask for anyone besides Pete he will literally be on his phone the whole time. Update: The operation manager showed up at our house unannounced at 5 and demanding we take down all negative reviews and sign something saying we will never write anything negative. While some strange woman recorded us on her phone. He said none of this is their responsibility! I am scared they will come to my house again. The woman in his truck was recording my minor children on my property without my permission! I am scared for our safety! I may need to file a protection order! read more

so disappointed! I thought these guys were going to do a good job...and the beginning was promising...I had a lot of boxes and some were heavy...but that is why I tip! I tipped all three of these guys $20 each and I got left with their trash, numerous boxes were "upside down" when I got to them to unpack them (how does this happen?) my wrapped furniture was dinged, and my bed was put together so completely wrong that I am going to have to pay my Handyman to come and put it together properly! We hired them to move a 2400 square foot homes worth of belongings from our temporary rental that was about 1500 square feet about 15 minutes down the road. It took a little over 7 hours with 4 people and 2 trucks. Nice hard working young guys showed up, but they were pretty slow and extremely expensive compared to competitors. They also caused a bunch of minor damage to our new home and belongings, and I would say, only got about 70% of our stuff into the correct rooms. read more

Alpha movers brought their own supplies, packed my wall to wall half packed garage, my entire house except what I'm using for the next week, drove my uhaul to storage so i didn't have to leave my disabled daughter's bedside, and told me my only job was to sit back and let them do theirs. 9 hours at $80 an hour with a discount for the little bit of shrink wrap they used of mine, and i literally had to do nothing. I'm so incredibly relieved right now! I've been working my ass off to pull this all off by myself and it was amazing to be able to sit back and let someone else do everything for this part of it while i focused on my kids. These movers are awesome. They arrived on time ready to go. They carefully removed everything from our RV sized storage space and fit them into 2 26-ft trucks. We had a team of 8 cheerful strong men. Not a slacker in the bunch. They had a great camaraderie and moved swiftly. They protected our doorways, thresholds, and walls with padding and mats. The mover showed up three hours early, I allowed them to start working early while left as I had to take care of something and that's why they weren't supposed to arrive until 11 not 8 AM. They had the audacity to call in to the office and reported that my belongings weren't ready to move. The entire place was packed minus some kitchen items and my hanging clothing to go into wardrobe closets that they provide. The truck was half full of moving pads when I advised them that I had no furniture it was only two mattresses and a couch and the rest were boxes and storage bins. The unprofessionalism I received by Janessa at the front desk is totally unacceptable. I have left multiple messages for manager to call me back to no avail. They charged me six hours to move a two bedroom apartment that had no big furniture other than two TVs and a couch. Since the truck was half full of moving pads they had to do it in two trips and it was a 26 foot truck. They didn't show up with any moving boxes !!!! This is a moving company. I scheduled Alpha Movers for a full home move on 12/29/2021. Mike (who I assume is an Owner) called the morning of, less than 2 hours prior to arrival to advise me that the whole crew had COVID. I certainly understand and told him I am very sorry to hear this. Mike then stated that they could come another day but I told him that would not work as I had to be moved out that day (thankfully I was able to find another company who showed up within an hour). Mike apologized and said I would receive a full refund of my $100 deposit as they canceled on me. I received an email from Jenessa then on the 12/30 again apologizing and advising that she would initiate the refund, I told her I would keep an eye out for it and that I hope everyone starts feeling better. It is now 01/12/2022 and I have yet to receive it. I have called and sent emails with no response. I just went to their website and it says "Temporarily Closed Until Further Notice". I am not sure if it is due to COVID or other reasons but I have started the dispute process with my credit card company and hope they are successful in refunding me for services I never received. read more

We requested quotes from MULTIPLE companies before we hired Alpha Movers almost 2 months ago and I highly recommend them! 1. Their pricing is listed on their website, with no hidden fees. Other companies will need you to request a quote to even know their price. And for those that did have prices on the website, when I got a quote, turns out there were fees (usually a travel fee) which most of the time is equivalent to a price of an hour. With that said, they were the cheapest! 2. Their office responded to my email inquiries the fastest. (Thanks Jenessa!) 3. The movers (Nick, Mike and Jr) were very professional.
