These guys are absolutely awesome!! My wife and I bought a house in Greeley and were moving from Denver. We had a moving company we had used before and hoped they could do the entire move, but we needed to move out of our townhouse one day and into our house the next and they couldn't accommodate that so we had to resort to a 26 foot U-Haul truck which they did load. U-Haul gave us Astorga & Sons in a list of movers available in Greeley so we booked them to unload. After seeing that they were in Aurora I was concerned so I reached out to them. They were so helpful and said it wasn't a problem, they would happily unload the truck in Greeley. They arrived right on time and worked very quickly and carefully. Great guys. Extremely pleased!! These guys are amazing! They showed up on time, and worked their butts off. I was moving a 2 bedroom condo in Aurora into a storage unit about 100 miles away. They wrapped all my furniture and made sure everything was secure for storage. The storage unit had to be packed like Tetris, but they got it done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They showed up 2.5 hours late, awful communication and completely stoned. We told them we'll finish ourselves and his response was, "well shit, you should have called me then." I'm convinced this "company" is a scam and they only want to find out what valuables you have so they can later rob you. I booked an appointment with this company through movinghelp.com at recommendation from UHaul. We needed two hours of help unloading our truck into a storage unit. Someone called me about a week before the move to confirm the date and gave me a time block. What am I dealing with an ISP/cable company now? They told me they would be there between 9-10am today, Saturday, September 19. The day of the move, today, I called their number (720)577-0730. No one answered and the voice mailbox was full. At 8:15am I text the number asking for an estimate when they'll be at the site so we can plan accordingly. Someone called me back at 8:57am and said the brakes fell off of his car while he was driving on the freeway. Shouldn't you have reliable transportation if THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS? They told me around 10:15am they would be on site. They text me again at 9:54am that they will work on getting to the site and it will be closer to 11. At 11:21am I text them "11pm right?" I received no response. My wife and I started unloading the truck at 10:30. When the stoner kid, Joel, finally showed up at 11:45 in a falling apart grey Mazda, he absolutely reeked of marijuana. There was no way I was letting this stoner kid touch our stuff. I told him, "we're good, we don't need you, it's basically done" and I walked away from him. He replied with, "well shit, you should have called me then" and went back to his car and sped off. This is the most unprofessional business. I don't know who owns this business but I blame Uhaul and movinghelp.com for not vetting these people and just letting anyone bid for jobs. I won't ever use movinghelp.com or Uhaul ever again if this is what they support. read more

My fiance and I have used Astorga & Sons moving services twice now. Once within the Denver metro area and recently for our move out of Denver to Summit County. They are fantastic. Very professional, take care of your items, consistently keep moving but of course take breaks respectably. Moved 9/12/20 They charged $45/hr per guy to move, we had three guys Kris, Joel and i forgot the third guy's name so $135/hr also $100 for the trip fee. Our old house was five minutes away from the new home that we were moving to. Pro: Kris responded to the quote quickly and showed up on time. Con: We moved all the boxes ourselves. They only had the big furniture to move. I listed all the items they would move over the phone for him, which some we ended up moving ourselves the night before. I was told over the phone by Kris that it would take about four hours. Four is what we thought should have been the max. It took 6 hours and that was with us telling them we were done. Kris and Joel took multiple breaks to smoke what smelled like weed and talk on the phone and amongst themselves. Kris was in the process of looking for a place to move and was interested in renting the place we were moving out of. He even took time to video the old house and stood around talking about where he would put his items and making phone calls about it etc... They took items apart that did not need to be taken apart, such as our love seat and couch. We didn't even know these came apart. When we moved with them before we had two movers. They were able to move these items by themselves without taking them apart. As I told Kris this is why we agreed to have three guys thinking it would be faster and the third would be able to help with the heavier items. We discovered the recliner that goes with this set was torn. The treadmill we took apart so they wouldn't have to. It was bent and damaged when they moved it. We had them unload the truck and go. We had to put everything back together ourselves because they were taking so long! The bed that took one of them at least 45 minutes to take apart took us 10 minutes to put together. They did this to eat up time on the clock. I know we live in colorado but be professional don't smoke on the job and don't take care of personal business on the clock while you charge your customers by the hour. Also during COVID ask your customers if they mind that you don't wear a mask don't just assume they don't care. read more

They are just honest trustworthy good people that move your stuff. Kris called the morning of and told me their eta, loaded everything, wrapped all the furniture, dismantled some frames and reassembled at my new place, all done with a smile and even some singing. OK, we have had the opposite experience from the previous reviewer. We found them to be very studious car caring individuals that utilized professional equipment and padding to protect the house the doors the stairs as they moved the heavy articles out to the truck. We had pre-loaded a portion of it and I've done this many times yet they were better at it than me and I should've let them do the entire truck. They did a great job of carefully protecting all the items and piecing them together in a very tight load that is going to cross the country in the next day or so. Their rate for doing this very physical work seems quite reasonable and is a value for anybody moving that doesn't want to do all the heavy lifting. Yesterday was the 2nd time we use Astorga & Sons, to move my daughter in Fort Collins from one apartment to another. The first time it was the crew of Justin and Jimmy, and this time it was Kris and Joel. That showed to me that any crew that we get from them provides equal quality of service. Both times, they were extremely careful of our possessions, took the time necessary to get the job done, did not rush at the expense of protecting our stuff, but were also efficient to not waste any time to keep the fees down. They were very professional and easy to work with. From the use of their own equipment that they supplied, you could tell that they had done this many times before. They went out of their way to protect the floors and doors of the apartment that we were moving into. And they stayed to re-assemble the bed and attach the mirror to the dresser. I then had to scramble and drive to three u-hauls centers to find even a small truck. Chris, the manager, never called the whole day. Never apologized. Never even acknowledged what a mess his company created. He then called at the end of the day, and the only thing he said is where's my money? What a joke. Kris sent me a quote straight away and by far was the least expensive, most fair pricing I received from any business in the area. I called him to set it up and he was able to accommodate my day and time request, even though it was within the same week! I'm sure they can't always do that sort of thing, but I was really impressed with how seamless and easy everything was to set up. My movers, Joel & Steve, were professional, friendly, efficient, and just generally really great guys! They wore masks and made sure everything was in the rooms I wanted and set up just so. We used them to load a Uhaul truck for a cross country move. We found them through Uhaul and paid by the hour. They were slow. Took several hours longer than anticipated which cost us more money. Fine. We understand that it takes a long time to load and in our case they ran out of room and we had to leave things behind. Also fine. The basis for the one star rating is the condition of our possessions when we unloaded. The leather furniture was torn and scuffed. The washer and dryer knobs were broken off and the machines themselves were heavily scraped. On top were the leather chair and couch. Hmmm. Anyway, the knobs and other damage was cost prohibitive. We decided to purchase new ones. $1400. Ouch. The brand new refrigerator was scraped on both handles. It is also dented on one side in several places. I had touch up paint for the handles but it will never be the same. It is now a garage fridge. I had to purchase a new one. $1500. Ouch. The Ethan Allen kitchen table wasn't protected at all and therefore not only was the top scuffed, but a chunk is missing. What a shame. It was a nice table. Plus, scuff marks on other furniture, beds, buffet, etc., where they rubbed against something for 1,000 miles. Furniture stain will help alleviate some of this damage but that furniture will never be the same. Given that we were asked to purchase rope, plastic wrap, and rented 24 pads (which were not all used), I expected better. Not perfection but some amount of care. If you care about your possessions, find another mover that isn't slow and careless. I wish we would have. We used Kris, Joel and their team for a recent move of our 3,200 sqft home and it went wonderfully. They were very responsive before the move as we worked to coordinate times with them, with our changing closing times. We had a double close and they were willing to schedule us for two days and safely store our items overnight, which was very helpful. It was also scheduled to snow during the move and they were prepared and safely protected our items with extra wrapping. We had a few odds and ends that weren't easily pack and they had a plan for everything. On the second day for the unload they did a wonderful job helping us get everything in and were great at asking to confirm where we wanted everything as they moved everything in. In addition, they helped add felt pads to the bottom of our furniture and set everything up. We would highly recommend them to anyone and would use them again if we ever have a another move. read more

While they were careful with our belongings, they were also very quick - walking quickly, breathing hard.
