They are not a very honest buisness. They moved my neighbor in and the moving truck smashed my stone mailbox and destroyed it. First of course they denied all culpability. They claimed anyone could have done it but I explained that the accident happened at a 45 degree angle based on the location of the impact and how the entire mailbox was shifted 45 degrees on the base. A car coming out of the driveway turning makes that angle not anyone coming straight down the road. Then they claimed the clearance of the truck was too high for the damage for which I then verified the impact was exactly at the hight they gave me for the trucks bumper. They asked if I have any proof and I told them a neighbor heard the hit and saw their truck but they claim the truck had left then and my neighbor must be wrong. Then they asked for a damage assessment and I got three independent estimates all roughly I the same ballpark and the owner claimed to be a former real estate agent and my estimates were not realistic. In the end I told her that I am not asking for full payment. I was going to do some repairs anyway and really just looking for the delta for the resurfacing vs full replace now needed. Or really any signs of accountability. However I am not so lucky. So be careful cause they may move things just lets hope they don't damage anything. read more

If we could give Tim and Tyler more than 5 stars, we would! When I was buying boxes at a local storage business, there was only one moving business card available: Main Street Movers. I asked the business owners why they displayed only one card and they replied: "Because they are the only moving company we trust!" I've moved many times in my 55 years and had mostly good experiences, but Main Street Movers are the best! They arrived wearing masks per COVID recommendations, and from start to finish they worked very hard. They wrapped all furniture in plastic and treated our items with care while efficiently and carefully moving them. All items arrived at the destination in perfect condition. Tim and Tyler worked with smiles on their faces despite the multitude of stairs involved. I had called around to other companies for quotes and Main Street Movers was the lowest by quite a bit and in some cases by a lot, yet the quality of their work is top notch! Hired these guys to move me out of a 3 BR house and into a storage space. I wanted to use a smaller more local business and had to get it done in a hurry. I should have kept looking after the lady estimator quoted like $600 just for packing and was vague about the actual move charge. She also wanted a check upfront the day before the truck & 2 guys were to show up. I was desperate, so I gave her the check but asked her not to deposit/cash it until I went to my bank the next morning. I started getting calls from "Mike" Bonora AND the estimator saying the check was no good, before my bank even opened! They said they wouldn't send the truck until they had the cash "to buy supplies". The 2 guys who finally showed up at 2pm were great and worked until around 8pm. They got half my stuff into the shed and said they would be back the next morning to finish. Next, I get a call (several actually) from "Mike" telling me it's going to cost another $1600 to finish the move! Needless to say they never came back. Avoid this company! "Mike" & his 'Estimator' act more like brokers than a moving company. read more

Avoid this company! I agree with the other review they act more like brokers than a moving company. They provided help contracted out by our larger moving company when when we moved cross country to CO. The people they sent could not do the work. They could not lift or carry our furniture. They spent a lot of time talking and wanting to share their stories. The truck driver did most of the moving. They got in a disagreement with the driver who didn't want to pay them because of their poor performance. They did not bring adequate tools to set up the beds or things in the house. When I called the company and "Mike" later to follow up, he hung up. The people he sent wore T-shirts with Main Street Movers and 303-604-2008. The whole thing was a fiasco. Avoid this company and the hassle of people arguing in your front yard, while you are trying to move. Very unprofessional. read more

Mike and his crew did a fabulous job. First of all, Mike was available to offer guidance and answer every one of my questions in the month proceeding my move. He did a house call to give me a bid and then stuck to that price, which is not usually the case with movers. My actual move was a run-of-the-mill move. Three guys showed up for the move. The fees they charged were competitive with other moving companies I checked into. The problems occurred after my move. They absolutely trashed our hardwood floors with snow/ice that melted into a stained mess. Only one blanket was put down and they should have been more prepared with the weather and knew that the floor would be trashed with the back and forth in the elements. The second thing was they broke the entire base of my TV which I only realized after the move. I'm sure they knew the TV was broken but no one said anything. I also couldn't find one shelf for my bookcase and still have not found it several weeks after the move. The most disturbing thing is they had complete disrespect for our property to the extent we had to get the authorities involved. So, needless to say, I would never recommend this company. read more

Well, They did get all my stuff on the truck, and get it to the new place three blocks away in a timely fashion. However, they broke my dining room table, my desk, and an end table in the process. They took pride in not disassembling any of the large pieces, That's fine, I guess. Disassembling can take a whole 10-15 minutes extra, and and re-assembling at the other end is a tad tedious. But then I think it a bit bothersome to go around and patch up the dings in the door trim and walls from where they had to wrestle big items through tight turns and narrow doorways. The dining room table was old. Who needs old stuff. It seems that rather than stand it up on end, and pack stuff around the legs, it made perfect sense to just set it on the floor of the truck and pack mattresses and a futon on top of it - Even after they had pointed out that the legs looked a bit wobbly. Sure enough. the legs collapsed, and all that stuff on top came tumbling down, and broke other furniture. So, disassemble all your big stuff before these guys get to your place, and they will probably do fine at hauling it to your new place. 5/20 - I was told that the boss would contact me about the damaged furniture within the week. Nothing, so far. They fail at follow-up. read more

After booking w/Mike, I read these reviews and was pretty nervous, but it was too late to change movers. I only needed 2 men for the minimum of two hours plus a truck. I was not moving a household, just getting some furniture hand-me-downs from friends moved to my house. The reason I only gave four stars is because Mike wanted to change times (for the second time) on me the night before the move. After a discussion, he put me back to the original time scheduled. Ryan and John showed up on time with a rental truck and were a joy to work with. They moved all without damage to anything. They were friendly and acted as if they enjoyed their jobs. Maybe the breakfast burritos helped with their pleasantness (always feed people who have to work so hard), we chatted and joked throughout. The three guys (JIMMY, RANDY AND ERIK) arrived on time (early actually). They asked for our guidelines and then got busy! They checked with us frequently on where we wanted things put, or how. They were cheerful, clean, professional and FAST !!! I would recommend this team to anyone, anytime,anywhere. I'm not kidding, and I'm not related to them...these guys were flat out super. They charge for a 2 hour minimum. I was told to have them move/unload as much as possible in those 2 hours. They moved me for an hour and tried to leave early and charge for the full 2 hours. I used this company last 7/15 to move my belongings from a rental to storage, that was a great experience, 2 capable young men showed up and completed the move in 3 hours. This prompted me to use them when I moved from storage into the home I purchased. The crew that showed up was 1 young man and a woman I would guess to be in her 60's, I voiced my concern to her and her partner about some of the very heavy furniture I had to move and she said "honey I've been doing this work for 25 years, it'll be fine". Well it was not, she was nice but barely helped the young man working with her, needless to say the identical move that took 3 hours 1 year ago took 5 hours and they ended up having to call 2 other people I have no idea who they were to help get my furniture into the house. The young man worked his tail off but he needed a capable partner. If I had felt I didn't need to strong men to move my belongings I would have had myself and friends move my belongings. I would never recommend this company to anyone for that reason. To be professional you need to consistently perform. read more

My husband and I used these movers to go from a rental house to our new home then again a few months later to move furniture into the garage and then back again into the house when we had hardwood floors put in. We had different movers each time but they were polite, professional, and hardworking. One even helped disconnect and drain our refridgerator as we didn't know it had to be done in advance. When my husband reinstalled the fridge he noticed a piece had cracked on the water intake (a quick google search showed the piece was $80) causing the fridge to leak. He called and spoke to the owner who asked for a photo of the damage and dropped off a check for the cost of the part the very next day. Some people might not give 5 stars for movers that broke something... I felt the piece broke as an accident and not negligence and that the quick and fair response from the company demonstrated exactly what you would hope for when looking for a moving company. DO NOT hire Michael's company! He is a scam artist and changes his company name whenever he needs to hide from the people he screws over. He moved me to Colorado many years ago, and did EXTENSIVE damage to my vehicle ($5K), my property, and the property of my landlord. When my Jeep came off his truck, it was gauged down to the bare metal and he tried to tell me that it was like that before. LIAR. Anything glass or mirror was BROKEN. He and his crew damaged the railing in the rental I moved into and I was held accountable. When I sent him my bills for repairs to my home, my Jeep and my property, he made me a ridiculous low offer to compensate me, and then never did anyway. That's when his company was Gulliver Movers. After I got over the shock of this all and settled in, I talked with an attorney and because he closed up that business I could not sue him. Now he is doing business under this new name, but he is the same person underneath. My Attorney says that fraudsters do this all the time - they close up shop when someone wants to sue them instead of doing the right thing. DO NOT use this company. P.S.
