Will, Chris, Alex and Joe moved us from Castle Rock to Parker a few days ago, and the process couldn't have gone better. They were professional, they stayed focussed while we were organizing around them (we weren't quite as ready for the move as we wanted to be), they communicated among themselves and to us throughout the process to keep it efficient, and they were very friendly. They're the perfect solution for anyone who needs affordable help getting through the stress of a move. Between work and home, I've overseen more than a dozen moves, and these guys are as good as they come. Now, a little about the crew (so you can't say you weren't warned): Will can pack a truck with twice as much furniture and boxes than you'll think is possible. He said something about Tetris (I wasn't really listening, and it may have been someone else who said it), but none of the times I played Tetris ever went like that. My two theories are that either the truck is a Tardis and is a lot bigger on the inside, or that the back of the truck has some kind of star gate to a much larger place where most of our belongings went. Chris works just as hard - and is just as good at avoiding walls and corners - as the others, and he's terrific at determining how to fit furniture through doors that clearly seem too small. There is one thing, though. He drinks piña colada-flavored energy drinks to keep his pace. If he's on your move, you don't need to tell him how gross that sounds. I already took care of it. He politely disagreed and kept working (an obvious cry for help). Joe has an inhuman sense of spacial awareness. While I was sitting in the front room enjoying a drink with an umbrella in it (NOT a piña colada), I watched him navigate tight hallways, corners and doors as though he had all the room in the world. I wasn't able to determine whether he was wearing a device similar to whatever Will uses in the truck. Also, I assume he'd have to kill me if he told me anyway, so I didn't ask. Alex is thin as a rail (for now - wait 'til you're 40, Alex), so you'll probably assume, as I did, that he's there to deal with all the little stuff. Not the case. It was remarkable to see him lifting furniture that I'm sure I couldn't. My view was obscured a bit by a tiny umbrella, but it was definitely him. I haven't done the math yet, but my back-of-the-napkin guess is that there's a 75% chance he's been bitten by a radioactive insect. I also had the pleasure to meet Ken, the owner of Denver Small Moves. He was there to help with a logistical problem I was having. In the short time we spoke, I was only able to learn two things about him: (1) he's a professional who will do what he can to help without getting in the way of his crew, and (2) he won't make fun of you if you sob through your description of the problem. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and thoughtful in their approach to handling my belongings. I moved from Denver to Des Moines, IA recently and Denver Small moves exceeded my expectations. Moving can be a stressful event and a lot of things can go wrong but w/ Denver Small Moves everything ran according to plan and I had no major problems or issues with my move. I had a three day turn around from the time the movers arrived to pick up my items to the time they dropped everything off which is quite exceptional since other moving companies provided a period of up to a few weeks for a turnaround time and wanted to charge twice as much as what Denver Small Moves charged me! The two movers arrived at my Denver apartment and loaded up their 16 ft truck and packed like pros with everything fitting neatly inside along with an excellent job of furniture dissemble and reassemble. Billy was my assigned mover in both locations and deserves recognition for driving 600 plus miles in crappy weather and doing an outstanding job from start to finish. I will add one improvement for Ken the manager and that is to do a better job vetting the hired help at the remote locations. In my opinion, the individual hired to help Billy when he arrived in Des Moines was not physically able to perform some of the job functions pertaining to heavy lifting of boxes and furniture; but despite this, I still give Denver small moves props and the highest rating and I am very pleased with everything from start to finish. I could gush in and on about Denver Small Moves. If I could give them a higher rating I would. My husband and I have been gypsies for 18 months, as we wait for our house to be remodeled. It's gotten complicated, because we have 5 different locations where various furniture/I ngs have been stored. A pod, a 2-car garage, a storage unit downtown and a basement. We've now used 4 different moving companies, and the Denver Small Moves team I got ROCKS it. Joey (the owner?) or Ken (scheduler?) were the first ones to respond about my move on YELP, and extremely professional. Not one other company (4) I contacted for this move asked any questions other than how many boxes? How many rooms? Denver Small Moves wanted to know exactly what I had. When they told me they would not/could not move a piano, they had a great recommendation for a piano moving company. The team Denver Small Moves sent were three of The nicest, most careful, considerate, helpful movers-- ever. Thank you Anthony, Eric and Chris! You made yesterday as easy as pizza pie! And, at the last minute, they even called a couple of other movers to give them a hand, and took way more time than they had planned to set up an antique intricately carved wooden bed. This was my first time using a moving company in Denver, and I have to say I can't believe I didn't do it sooner! Denver Small Moves is awesome! I didn't have that much stuff (barely a studio apartment worth of things) so I chose just the 2 Men, 1 Truck for 2 hours for $360 option. Before they arrived, Ken at Denver Small Moves was SO responsive in answering all of my questions. 3 men showed up instead of 2 (at no extra charge) and all were so incredibly nice, polite, CONSIDERATE, and EFFICIENT!!! Also, we've all had contractors who come by and leave a mess before they leave (mud tracks, dust, moving things around and not putting it back). Denver Small Moves and their employees are SOO professional, putting down mats to keep out any mud, are careful moving all items, and man do they HUSTLE!!! Despite having plenty of time remaining in the move window of 2 hours, there was ZERO dilly dallying on their end. I am genuinely impressed by their overall professionalism and consideration in this move. I will be recommending Denver Small Moves to all of my friends here in Denver. Thank you Denver Small Moves for going the extra mile to help us out. My daughter moved her belongings from Florida to Denver last week and the original moving company out of Florida refused to get her 2 piece sectional into her new apartment, said it wouldn't fit. They immediately placed it back on their truck and took it to a storage facility and charged us another fee, plus a fee for the storage for 48 hours. I am back in Massachusetts trying to get this mess cleared up when I found Denver Small Moves online. I called and spoke with Toby on Wednesday evening (after hours) and he assured me that he would meet our daughter over at the storage unit on Thursday morning and bring the sectional back to her apartment and attempt to get it in. With some extra time and patience and smart thinking, he was able to get the 2 pieces in, not thru a doorway but thru a window. I will never be able to thank him enough. In less then 24 hours, Toby had put an end to one of the most stressful weeks we have ever been through. I booked this company based on their glowing Yelp reviews, and we were not disappointed. With only a week of notice, we were confirmed for a Saturday morning move at a reasonable rate. They gave us a courtesy call the day of, stating they'd be 15 minutes late, but showed up precisely on time. Christian and 2 guys loaded our stuff into their truck from the 'rents suburban basement, where we were exiled until we found a house. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. Then, they drove the truck to our house back in the city, even taking a detour to avoid a train that was blocking passage for a good 30 minutes or so in the main corridor between the highway and our place. They unloaded the truck in record time, asking politely where we'd prefer boxes and furniture when unlabeled, but also organizing labeled boxes in logical locations. They had us moved in about 2 hours total. We paid them in the preferred cash method and tipped out to show our appreciation for making our move painless and quick. You can beg and pay your friends in beer and pizza, or you can pay these guys to get the job done with no screwing around. I'd recommend these guys as the better choice any day. read more

I hired these guys to move us based on the stellar reviews here on Yelp. It was by far the best part of our move. I've hired moving companies in the past based on an hourly rate for the truck and a certain number of guys. It has been a nightmare each time. DSM gave us a fixed quote based on the information we provided as to what they would be moving. They would then prorate the cost based on how much of the truck was actually used. So you know the maximum it could cost no matter what. That is a huge relief to know the maximum cost upfront. The 3 guys showed up on time, worked efficiently, and treated our stuff like it was their Grandma's family heirlooms. They disassembled and reassembled everything as needed and wrapped everything in blankets. We had absolutely no damage of any kind. I simply can't convey enough what a true pleasure it was to deal with a company that shows up on time and does exactly what they say they will do for the price that they quoted. That is so rare in this day and age. Go ahead and get multiple quotes for movers if you want but do yourselves a favor and give these guys the last look. You will be amazed. I was. I was all set for a move last Saturday with another company. They were scheduled for 830 am. They decided that the weather that day was "not safe for their movers" (it was a slight drizzle off and on). They never showed, never called and their voicemail box was full. 3 hours passed and I got a text to find someone else. They quite literally left us in a bind. I had called Denver Small moves for a quote and (foolishly) went with the "other" company solely based on price (the other company was slightly lower). When I called in a panic on Saturday, Justin was kind and understanding. He quickly made arrangements to help us. He sent 3 movers almost immediately - last minute. I couldn't believe it. Orlando, Corey and Billy were awesome. Kind, understanding and very professional. They made quick work of a huge job and they hustled! My friends and I were in awe! They were careful with my belongings, patient with me (when I didn't know where something should go) and very well mannered. They were worth every dollar. These guys are great! Looked around at several moving companies in the area and decided to go with these guys based on referrals from friends and their reasonable pricing. Moving can be a very stressful experience with all that's going on and the last thing you want is for the moving company to not do what you're paying them good money to do. DSM showed up on time (big plus!) and got the job done super quick. The three guys were very professional and nice and damaged absolutely nothing. I had a lot of stuff big and small so was expecting something to get dinged or scratched. Nothing was. They loaded the truck and unloaded the truck with amazing expertise. I even moved on a day it was snowing quite a bit and they took the time to put blankets and covers over the floors and certain items. In the end I was almost in shock at how smooth things went that day. They truly made the moving experience less stressful and I want to throw out a big THANK YOU to DSM. I highly recommend them and should I ever move within Denver again I will definitely consider them above anybody else. read more
