Shanna and the owner at Bob's Piano Service were very helpful in providing reasonable moving and maintenance estimates, as well as carefully evaluating the condition of the piano. They pointed out some issues that the piano's owner wasn't aware of and that unfortunately, would have made this piano too much of a project for me. I hired them to move a small piano (Kimball Consolette) from Erie to Boulder, and then to come back and tune it after it had settled down. The moving was done carefully and they squeezed it through a narrow door with no trouble. The tuning was also done carefully and with no further trouble. I enjoyed working with them. read more

These guys are awesome. Unmatched customer service and a complete pleasure to deal with. We had my wife's piano tuned after it was untouched for about a decade. While tuning, one of the strings snapped. He carefully removed it and told me to call in about 3 weeks and they would have a new string ready to go. (Strings are custom made individually- something I didn't know) Sure enough, 3 weeks and it was ready to go just as promised. He also identified a cracked hammer while doing the string replacement and was able to fix it up while he was working. The best part for me was hearing him play after getting everything adjusted and put back together. That guy has some talent. I would definitely recommend these guys to anybody looking for piano work. This last time he moved a piano from my grandmother's house in Centennial, to Broomfield, and even helped me with some dressers and loaded them into my car for me!! ...going way beyond what was expected. Our tech was on time (maybe 10 minutes early even) and very friendly, professional and took his shoes off at the front door without asking. It took him about 60 minutes to tune our 1950s upright piano. With a keen nose, my only criticism (and the reason why I didn't offer 5 stars) is that I could tell our tech had been smoking earlier or was around a smoker earlier that day. read more

I scheduled Bob's Piano Services for a piano move. The communication by phone and email was easy, everything happened on time and as expected. Bob was there with a helper and was a delight to work with. He called me from the pickup home to note that there were more stairs than expected and that it'd cost a little more. Totally fair and standard, but appreciated that he called in advance of starting to make sure it was okay with me, and he was sincerely apologetic about the extra (but appropriate) charge. He also took a little time to tell me about the piano once delivered to my home. He knows his stuff! I'd highly recommend Bob's Piano Services for a piano move. 6 out of 5 stars! read more

They laid down their own padding on the floor all the way into house without being asked, set the piano exactly where i asked and even explained to me how to care for it. We've had our piano tuned before, and unfortunately this was our worst experience. The tech arrived and in the process of tuning, broke a key. He wasn't able to fix it on the spot and said he would need to take it home and come back in a few days. We rescheduled and he came back to repair the key that he broke during the tuning. After a few weeks the same key broke again (I'm guessing he must have glued it together?) and now another key is sticky and vibrates when it is played. When I called to let them know what happened, I was told they would charge me a field visit fee for the tech to come back and take a look at the piano. read more
