I contacted Joan to help fix and tune an old Yamaha spinet from 1972 that I inherited without much detail on it's history. My wife and I just moved to Denver from NYC. We brought our baby grand piano with us. The piano was moved out of our apartment in NYC, put in storage for six months and then delivered to Denver in December. The piano had not been tuned for about three years. Needless to say it NEEDED tuning. I researched piano tuners and called several to explain the issues and see how much each cost. Joan came in at a reasonable price level and her reviews on Yelp were very good. I liked the way she sounded on the phone and on the phone gave me several helpful ideas. So I hired her for the job. She came yesterday right on the dot of the appointed time. She had told me to expect the tuning to take about 1-1.5 hours. Joan came into the apartment, went right to work on the piano and spent more than 2 hours here trying to get the tuning and the pitch correct and she wasn't going to stop until it was perfect. She also made recommendations about how to keep the piano in tune. When she left I sat down to play the piano and couldn't believe the difference in sound. It was GREAT!
