Decent job but broke a string. He replaced it and tuned it, but it took another visit and then it went out of tune quickly. Had to reschedule a few times. All around good value, though, but precision could be better. read more

I scheduled an appt. and upon the first appt., he forgot. I contacted him and was told that he had changed calendars so I rescheduled two weeks later. Upon the time for the appt. he was not here again and I called him and left a message. I received a text message 15 minutes later stating that he was on his way. He arrived an hour late. No apologies just walked into the house and began to tell me how terrible my piano was and that in his words " I need to trash it and get a new one". I was then told to stop talking and listen to him because he had 11 years of experience and a music degree. I could not get a word in. His continued mansplaining told me that I needed to go out and buy a different piano but I needed to make sure I didn't get ripped off because that was apparently what happened here. He then went on to tell me that because he was a nice person he would waive the fee for coming to my home. Interesting to note that the piano is a Baldwin Baby Grand 1939, all keys are ivory non-chipped, and it is estimated to be worth approximately 100,000 upon restoration. But since I did not know anything, (I have a music degree and have been teaching music for 20 years) I needed to throw it away. I was so shocked that he talked in this way that all I wanted to do was to get him out of the home. read more

I was really not very experienced at getting my piano tuned (never). I found David Roche by googling "piano tuners denver". Luckily Roche was near the top of my search. I emailed David on his website and he immediately responded. I called him to schedule an appointment and he was willing to work around my schedule. David came to my house at the appointed time. He is very courteous, professional, responsible, honest and did an excellent job doing only the work that needed done on my piano. He cleaned it, tuned it, pitched it.
