Top notch sales advice from the sales team. They have all different styles and brands at very different price points. It's important to know that a piano needs to be kiln dried to acclimate to the dry Colorado weather. Professional service all around. read more

Dennis, Bob, and all of the front staff are amazing. I went back and forth between a few stores and ended up here 3 separate times while making my decision. Each time they were incredibly friendly and patient while I was unsure about what piano I would get. I ended up getting my beautiful Yamaha. They even continued support after the piano was delivered making sure everything was good and I was taken care of. Couldn't recommend them more! read more

Can't extend enough accolades for this remarkable place. Customer service excellent (beautiful piano players everywhere you turn), impressively knowledgeable about pianos, and the inventory is the stuff of fantasy. The piano delivery team awesome (thank you Larry and associate!), and Kyle a lotto win piano woe fixer and tuner. Was a gift to work with this team! read more

Bob Baker has very generously supported the Columbine Music Teachers Association's "Holiday on the Keys" event for years! He loans us a beautiful piano to use at Starbucks to provide holiday music for the patrons there. The pianos are incredible, and it gives our students the opportunity to play on a very fine instrument. Our organization is a small one, and we could not do this event without Bob's help and generosity! Bob, thank you so much for your support! read more

We ordered a digital piano from Classic Pianos while there was a worldwide chip shortage, which meant no ETA from the manufacturer. During the one year wait, Bob and Megan handled my status update inquiries with grace. Bob offered a loaner that was the same model as the one we ordered at no charge , so we still had a piano to play while we waited. In addition, it helped confirm that the piano we ordered was the right one for us. I absolutely adore the piano we bought and plan on keeping it for years, but I'll definitely go back to Classic Pianos should we ever decide to upgrade. Customer service was amazing! read more

We bought a rebuilt Steinway from Classic Pianos and we could not be more pleased! We were greeted at the door by the friendly staff and then met Dennis who gave us a very knowledgeable and thorough walkthrough of the pianos they had on offer. Afterwards, as we were deciding which piano to buy, Dennis followed up by both phone calls and texts with all the information we requested and answered all of our questions. Delivery was also very well done and everything went smoothly. Axel, D, and Isaiah were very professional and organized. We highly recommend Classic Pianos! read more

Love Classic Pianos! Always so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend checking them out when shopping for a piano.

This is the place to go if you're looking for a piano in Denver. I had a wonderful experience in store. I am rediscovering the instrument after years away and it was important that I found something used that I felt confident was well cared for, without breaking the bank. I worked with Dennis and he was patient, knowledgable, and consultative. I was allowed to take my time without any badgering at all. They even removed the paneling so I could check for hairline cracks in the sound board. Ultimately I inspected and played several acoustic and hybrid pianos before I found the perfect Yamaha at a competitive price. The sale and delivery process was smooth as well and after a 20-year hiatus, I'm two months back into playing every day and loving it! read more

We wanted a baby grand but weren't sure of our space. Bob Baker (Classic Pianos) personally dropped off a cutout and helped us plan the space. Then we went shopping. First stop was Denver Classic Pianos where Dennis Blodgett showed us options and patiently allowed us to try several makes within our size requirements. There was no need to go further. Excellent value and service--we couldn't be happier. Peggy and Bob Propper. read more

I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the inventory of Classic Pianos in Denver. I own a Kawaii Grand that I play daily and need a small digital piano for my vacation home. I've heard wonderful things about the Yamaha Clavinova line of digital pianos and was quite pleased with the sounds of the various instruments at Classic Pianos. I was on the verge of buying a Clavinova in the $6,000 range but unfortunately had a sales person who knew next to nothing about the Clavinova line. He admitted that he is a guitarist and didn't play the piano which would be ok by me, but someone should have given this gentleman some training as he was unable to answer many of my most basic questions. read more

I cannot recommend Classic Pianos highly enough! I dealt with Bob and his team in May--at a point in the pandemic when businesses were still 'trying their best' to navigate these weird times. I was able to schedule a one on one appointment, and through visiting the business to having the piano delivered everyone was very professional and clearly had everyone's comfort and safety in mind. Bob was super friendly and helpful, and the delivery process went without a hitch, even with some dubious dimensions at hand regarding a piano and a door frame--truly, kudos to those guys for making it work. I was literally moved to tears when the piano was placed in its new home. They also refer a piano tuner who is fantastic as well. Six stars! read more

This is such a nice piano store. My wife and I came here to shop for a piano for my wife to learn.. Bob didn't mind that we didn't know much at all about pianos. He was very informative and showed us around without being over selling. We decided not to buy that day.. so we can shop around. We came back 3 weeks later to take a another look, and Bob was amazing as always so we decided to get an upright Yamaha from him! Thanks for taking time to show us around Bob! read more

I have been shopping fir my first gran piano for months. I visited all of the piano shops around Denver to get educated on how to evaluate and decide to buy a grand piano which is a big investment. Classic pianos has a huge assortment of both new and used pianos. I was first interested in buying used but ended up getting a new piano! Bob was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the different piano brands and gave me a complete education so I could be an informed buyer. He never tried to "sell me" any piano. Rather he encouraged me to play them and decide what I liked best. And to take my time. They carry Yamaha, Bosendorfer, Estonia, Schimmel, and Steinway pianos. I visited all of the piano stores in the Denver area but my experience with Bob at Classic pianos was superior to them all. I bought a new piano from them. A completely different model than I initially thought I'd by. Thanks to Bob I found a beautiful piano that I'll be enjoying for years to come! If you're in the market for a piano do yourself a favor and include Classic Pianos on your list! read more

A wonderful piano store with excellent service, knowledgeable staff & great choices. I will buy from them again.

Neal Hickson helped us pick a beautiful Yamaha grand piano. He showed us a nice range of pianos within our budget and ultimately helped us pick the perfect one. The piano was delivered on schedule and the delivery was fast and efficient. Would work with Classic Pianos again! read more

I love this company!!!! I was looking for a piano and I started looking at a few places in Denver. I went into Classic Piano and Bob was amazing! He even wrote me a letter thanking me for stopping by. Their website was easy to navigate so I applied for financing. They responded with the range they would finance and the interest rate, unlike another company in Denver that did not give that feedback. We were able to get a Schimmel piano and we LOVE it!!!!!! Thanks Classic Pianos! You have excellent service. read more

From purchase to getting our Yamaha upright piano delivered, customer service has been outstanding! I liked the fact that we were shown several pianos and try them out for our son, beginner. Bob our rep played a few tunes for us so we can hear the differences. We were never pressured into a purchase and were shown pianos that were affordable. They have a great plan where you can trade up or down, down the road. This is the way to go! We were looking for used pianos on Craigslist before going to Classic Piano, and didn't realize how fast used pianos sell! For a couple thousand more, we bought new and peace of mind knowing that nothing is wrong with it and it's already been tuned. read more

I bought a digital grand piano here and Chris was amazing at helping me find the piano to suit my needs and my budget. Super patient, knowledgable, and an impressive piano player. The purchase was seamless and easy. They outsource their piano deliveries to another vendor but when I couldn't work out a date with them, I arranged for my own delivery instead. Classic Pianos was very accommodating and worked with me to arrange for my movers to pick up the piano. Very happy with my purchase! read more

We are incredibly happy with our new CLP 645. The sounds are absolutely amazing. I have played through the free book of music that came with the keyboard. Piano was my major instrument as a Music Ed major, some 40 years ago...I played a good 90% of these pieces throughout my piano study years and have enjoyed being reacquainted with them all over again in a range of ability levels!!! What a total joy now in retirement! Our visit to the store was also a real joy since Bob Baker is incredibly knowledgeable regarding the instruments they are selling and was helpful in quickly discerning the line that would be most appropriate for us. He also allowed us time to explore them on our own after a short demonstration. He was more than able to answer our questions! AND the price was right! My only wish is that we had been offered the lifetime program for music...since we live on a limited budget. read more

My mother-in-law's Steinway is about 50 years old and had never had a serious servicing. Onofrio replaced the hammers and did some other technical maintenance items at their shop. I can't believe how much better it sounds. Amazing. Their technicians have great operational skills. Sounds better than a new piano. You might need to be patient for them to order the maintenance parts, but it was well worth the wait! They also do a light refinishing of the case and that turned out well. Seemed to be a good value. The only caveat from a five star review is that they aren't too proactive in their customer service. You'll probably want to note on the calendar to follow up with them, as they tend not to call you when work is complete. Hopefully we're the exception, not the rule. In the process of returning the piano, our bench was misplaced. I'm not sure we're going to get it back, but the owner was very accommodating about getting us another bench to make up for it. His heart is in the right place; just a little disorganized. read more

I stopped in a bit ago to check out a few pianos. My wife and I have been looking for a while. I wasn't super impressed with the customer service when I walked in. I had to really try to get their attention. Maybe they thought that since I wasn't a gray hair grizzled old guy that I couldn't afford a piano. Well, no problem, I get it. They showed me a few instruments, but everything just seemed so overpriced compared to what I can find on craigslist. Yes, I understand the instruments are cleaned, tuned, serviced, etc. However, if I bought a piano off craigslist and had it serviced, tuned, and all that, I'd still come in under what they price their pianos at. I just, I don't know. I would hate to be in the piano business. It seems like pianos are a dime a dozen wherever I look. I wish these guys good luck, but they've got to improve their customer service and pianos they offer if they want my business. I won't go back. read more

I love my piano I bought here, and getting lessons from their in house teacher, Joe, has been such a great experience.

Amazing customer service and great prices! I visited Classic Pianos for a going-out-of business sale they were hosting for another local business, and I was extremely impressed with their customer service. I was immediately assigned a sales associate to help me upon entering (Bob), and he proceeded to ask all of the right questions to help me narrow down my piano choices. He then gave me a sample of the tonal qualities of each by sitting and playing several pieces. He was amazing!! We ended up buying a used Ritmuller and have been extremely happy with the purchase. read more

Love this place we got a beautiful piano for my daughter. It sounds amazing and we were so happy with the experience overall.

Great experience while buying a Clavinova during a liquidation sale. The price was great, especially considering people are trying to sell their 10-year old models on Craigslist for not much less. I have been to another piano dealer in Denver and came away feeling pressured by the salesman, who was a self-proclaimed guitar guy selling pianos. In contrast, I appreciated that Don read me well as a customer. Don knew when to leave me alone to noodle around on the different models and when to check in and answer questions. Although he knew I wasn't going to buy one, he also spent a lot of time talking Steinways with me (Onofrio is a Yamaha dealer), showing me some of the heirlooms on the sales floor. He also suggested voices on the Clavinova that I would like, based on the kind of piano I like. When I'm finally set up to buy an grand old Steinway, I hope I'll get lucky and hit on one at Onofrio. In the meantime, I'm loving the Clavinova! read more

This was the first time we buying a large music instrument. We were so excited to own our own piano, yet we don't have a lot of experience. What a great experience in buying piano we've got from this store. I bought an upright accoustic piano for my son. The sales person was very knowledgeable. We went into Classic Pianos without having done much research on potential pianos. We worked with Don West, and he was great! We gave him our price range, and he was very accommodating and did not try to push us higher at all. He was very knowledgeable, and helped explain the distinct differences between the options within our price range. We ended up with a Yamaha upright B2 and could not be happier! The staff working with us to checkout and get financing settled was also great as well. In an environment that can be potentially intimidating, Classic Pianos made buying a piano a wonderful experience! read more

Having never shopped for a piano before, I admit I was intimidated and really did not know what I was looking for, other than size. Bob Baker was gracious, informative, patient, and professional. He helped us find the right piano for our young pianists who have been practicing on a $100 keyboard for 3 years. He took the time to choose the best sounding piano from the floor model or the one that was still needing to be put together. We appreciated his personal touch and his obvious desire to help us find the best piano for our family's current needs. Their trade-in agreement makes the purchase no-risk. Our piano is getting a lot of use and the children are practicing more than ever, without being asked! Thank you Bob and Classic Pianos. read more

Knowledgeable and easy process. Think the upgrade policy is wonderful.

I selected this store to purchase my piano because they provided a better offer than online dealers. In addition, they take my instrument if I decide to upgrade in a few years. The zero interest financing option was also nice. read more

We purchased a lovely upright piano from Classic as a Christmas gift for our daughter. They were very helpful in getting it delivered the weekend before Christmas. I went into Classic Pianos looking to buy a "beginner" piano for my granddaughter to take lessons. While there, I was "educated" by Chris Ranney. Chris was patient, thorough and answered all of my questions. After showing me all the painos within my price range and availability, he asked me if I had considered a digital piano. Quite frankly, I hadn't...primarily because my son thought all digital pianos were just glorified "keyboards." I discovered how very wrong my son was. Chris demonstrated by playing a beautiful song on the nicest Yahama Grand Piano I have ever seen. I listened and loved the piece. He then led me to a Yamaha CLP-535. He suggested that I close my eyes and listen. He played the same piece as he did on the Grand Piano. I honestly could not distinguish the difference. Then Chris explained all the various features...and there were quite a few. Knowing that my very bright and digitally-capable granddaughter would learn and know how to use all of the CLP's features in the future, I could easily visualize the CLP being the better choice. And I wasn't wrong. My granddaughter was ecstatic and immediately began testing the options. I am very confident that Chris Ranney guided me to the very best decision I could have made. Add to the fact that the upgrade policy of Classic Piano is exceptional and that the price beat the internet...even with delivery, I was sold. Thank you to Chris for spending the time with me and helping me make a long term decision that I will never regret. I looked at other music stores before venturing into Classic Piano. If you are looking for any form of piano or digital instrument, do not waste your time going elsewhere. Classic Piano is the best value with the best sales staff. You will not be sorry for using them. read more

We purchased a new piano from Classic Pianos about 6 months ago. The piano has been great and the salesperson Bob was quite knowledgable. We did not realize the piano would need to be tuned 3-4 times in the first year alone. We asked Classic Pianos to recommend a piano tuner. They suggested Jackson Piano Service to tune the piano. Michael Jackson - no, not that Michael Jackson- is the piano tuner that came to our house. While he was a competent piano tuner, he was more than happy to tell us about his 45 years of experience and that our piano basically sounded like crap when I asked if the entire piano needed tuning or just a select few keys. He acted like a know it all and charged us $150 for his 30 minutes of work. I am not sure if that is a fair price or not. His attitude was a bit much for my taste. read more

Classic Pianos has many great instruments and recently we purchased a Yamaha YUS5. We love the piano, and what sold us on this piano after playing countless others was Bob Baker's expertise. The knowledge Bob Baker possesses is definitely worth the trip to Classic Pianos. read more

I can't recommend based on my experience. While the company's webpage indicates that in addition to sales, they also are in the business of purchasing and consigning pianos. I did not find this to be true. Something to consider when buying one from them if they use that they do as part of the sales pitch. First, I left several messages that went unreturned. When I finally was able to make an appointment for a technician to evaluate our Steinway and Sons, he did not show up, nor call to cancel or explain why. I called back after a few days and finally was able to get a technician to assess the piano. He found relatively little wrong, certainly nothing I wouldn't have been prepared to address in order to sell the piano. Again, after not hearing from Classic Pianos I called to take next steps. I again left a message only to be called back by their receptionist that they had no interest in buying nor consigning the piano. In a customer focused business the manager or buyer would make that call to me, not someone who didn't know the reasons. While declining to purchase or consign is within the business's right, unprofessional communication and conduct needlessly prolonged my pursuing Classic Pianos as an option. An option I only pursued due to the overall favorable customer service reviews. From my experience as a seller, my one star review might be a caution to those who may be a potential buyer and values service after the sale. If your looking to sell or consign a piano, don't waste significant time as I did. read more
