I have been working with Keyboard Carriers for over 10 years in the capacity of moving or storing my baby grand piano. They have gone in and out of houses, up and down stairs. They are presently storing my piano. I am so grateful for this company. They are reliable, they have great movers and I have never had any problems or damage. Teresa who always answers the phone is so competent. The moving crews have been 100% careful and respectful. Both in packing up the piano for moving and unpacking it and setting it up, they have done an admirable job. All movers have been great, Afi stands out especially. Having our carpets replaced and needed someone to move and store our piano for a couple weeks. Smartly called the Denver Steinway people and asked them who they use. They pointed us to Keyboard Carriers. I scheduled it. They just came and picked it up. Killer job. 3 guys, knew exactly what they were doing, I was the 5th one they moved today. They are complete experts. I couldn't be happier with how the treated the piano, their knowledge of what they were doing and how they moved it and put it on the van. Their documentation of the piano condition too was great so we can make sure it come back in the same condition that they took it. They will have it for a couple weeks. Damaged our piano, ignored the damage, amateur movers. From the get go it was clear these movers neither had a general respect for people nor had much experience moving pianos. If you're a piano moving company that has horrible customer service, predatory pricing, and an absence of punctuality - the pianos you move had better arrive in the same shape they left in. We gave notice immediately following the move of the damage to the piano and included before and after photos proving the damage came from the move. They failed to reply to phone calls and emails, seeming to actively avoid us. Who has time to go to small claims court these days? They aren't good for their word, don't trust this company. read more

Keyboard Carriers was chosen by the piano vendor in Connecticut to deliver our Yamaha 48" U1 upright in black satin once it arrived in Denver to the Springs. And, they did a great job! The delivery guys were on time, funny and professional at the same time. I was very nervous about delivery with our steep stairs and hardwood floors, but these guys made it look easy and at all times were just as concerned as me to provide a competent and satisfactory delivery. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I'll just get to the point. I called and made and appointment and talked about all the costs associated with the move and agreed on their estimate. I called a day prior to the move to get my time slot for the next day and was told they had to charge me $100 extra for a mileage charge. I said point A to B was only 11 miles and they responded the mileage is charged from their office. This should have been noticed during the lengthy conversation I had the day that I scheduled. Leaving me with no choice but to pay as I didn't have time to shop around. The time slot was 12-1pm for pickup. I got there at 1145 and waited to nearly 2pm and made 4 phone calls but no one answered and no one bothered to call me to inform me they were running late. I got zero calls yesterday and this morning while I'm at work in a meeting they leave a voice-mail with a list of excuses why they couldn't make it and that they showed up at 4pm and no one was there??? As if our only purpose in life was to wait for a company that doesn't even call to say they are running late.... I should just wait blind? The pickup team apparently tried calling me but the phone number they were given was also wrong? A typo they say? Absolutely ridiculous... then they want me to reschedule? Are you nuts? Edit: Oh and they said the home they were picking up from would be more than a ramp fee as there are too many stairs at the entrance? Funny thing is they delivered this piano when it was new to the current owners and charged them a ramp fee upon delivery. Interesting how it was doable with a ramp on delivery (entering the home) but not possible when exiting the home. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

This piano moving company is so excellent that we were blown away. They communicated well throughout the process, they showed up when they said, the cost was very reasonable and easily estimated via their web site, the guys who did the move were careful with our home and the whole process. They made it look easy and actually fun, which was amazing when you realize the weight of the instrument. They were very careful with our grand piano the whole way until well-placed in the new home. We are musicians and picky. These guys move the Denver Symphony too, and that should tell you all you need to know. The first quotes we got from others were NOT cheap and Keyboard Carriers cost was MUCH less expensive. We would give them a 10 if it were possible and we WILL refer them to everyone we possibly can. Their truck's bumper destroyed our drive way. And they managed to get the truck high sided, which required an hours worth of work with a 12 ton jack and a shovel. Worse yet they mixed up the hardware from the casters & when they re-installed the casters they tried to use screws that were too long & stripped the heads of the screws while attempting to jam them in. My piano is a family heirloom of sorts (though it's only on its second generation, it has a lot of meaning to my family) and I was experiencing a great deal of anxiety about moving it. I saw the review on Yelp and decided to take a chance. I am SO glad I did. I was able to get an appointment within the week. I was called the day before my appointment and given a two-hour delivery window. In the recent past I have sat through my fair share of 4 hour+ delivery windows and was ecstatic to only have to be home for 2 hours. To add to it, the movers were 15 minutes EARLY - YES!! How many times can you say that about movers/delivery people?! My movers were kind, polite, and speedy - they did an amazing job. I'm hoping to not have to move the piano again anytime soon, but if I had to, I would absolutely call keyboard carriers. One final note - they took credit cards! I love that I didn't have to worry about carrying cash or my checkbook. read more

Very disappointed with this service. My new wooden floor was damaged when my piano was returned to my home after being in storage for 2 months. The piano fell off the gurney on one side, while being wheeled into my house resulting in damage to my new floor. I decided not to have the whole floor re-done as recommended by the Flooring Company but only to get a small area re-finished as I simply didn't want the hassle of moving everything out of my house again. When I contacted the office, I was told by Theresa that they would pay for the repair but I it took 2 phone messages and 5 e-mails to finally get a check. I had to threaten legal action to finally get a response. "It's in the mail became a joke!" It was an experience I hope to never repeat. read more

I hired Keyboard Carriers to move my 5'8" grand piano from Parker to my residence in Colorado Springs. Theresa, the owner, is excellent to work with and keeps the company working at the highest standard. The drivers phoned in advance to give us a window for their arrival (about 15 minute warning). I watched as the movers packed up the piano and took the legs off and individually wrapped all the pieces in heavy moving blankets. They descended 3 outdoor steps without a problem; I was impressed by how well they communicated to each other. I followed the truck from Parker to Colorado Springs. They worked quickly and obliged as I tweaked the position of the piano in the room. The piano arrived in perfect condition. Although I had a small scheduling confusion and an issue with one of the movers, Theresa took care of the situation with professionalism and courtesy. Expensive, Unprofessional, Unprepared, Horrible Communication and Rude They arrived during unscheduled times, attempted delivery again during unscheduled times, both times arriving with no prior phone calls, made excuses that they didn't have enough men to move the piano and that one of their guys was injured, and later when I called to speak with the uninformed owner (Jack) he proceeds to scream and curse at me over the phone. I could not believe how quickly and delicately my piano was moved into my home. Keyboard Carriers did a great job of moving my upright grand (very heavy) piano. After looking at the two flights of stairs in and outside my house, they decided to go out the back patio door and around on the grass to ensure that there was no damage to my hardwood floor. They were prepared with an "All Terrain Dolly" that didn't damage the grass. I've had bad experiences with other piano movers in the past, so I was really happy to have the piano moved with minimal hassle and no damage to the piano or my floors. BUYER BEWARE: When I made the appointment for the move, I was asked if there were stairs involved. Since the destination for the piano was down one floor, I told them that it was down one flight of stairs. I was told that there was an additional charge for each flight of stairs. The person who booked the moved didn't ask me any more questions about the staircase and he gave me a quote that included one flight of stairs. After moving the piano down one floor, they presented me with a bill for two flights of stairs. Apparently, a single flight of stairs is considered two flights of stairs if the staircase has a turn in it with a landing at the turn. They charge extra for each flight of stairs, so, although I considered it one flight of stairs (the destination for the piano was down one floor), I was charged for two flights of stairs. I felt that, given their policy about staircases with turns, it was their responsibility to ask me more details about the staircase when I booked the move so that they could give me an accurate quote. That being said, they did a great job moving the piano. It was a very difficult move and they put a lot of effort into it and did it in a very careful manner. read more

Keyboard Carriers did a wonderful job of moving our 93-year-old baby grand piano. They were courteous, efficient, and very professional. It took them a very short time to wrap up and strapdown piano and get it onto the truck. We were moving into our new house 30 miles away and even though they had numerous stops before our delivery, it arrived at the new house in less than two hours. They brought it in, gave me advice on placement, and even gave me a recommendation for someone to put UV protectant film on the big picture windows in the room so that the sun wouldn't damage our piano. The whole process was seamless and painless. This piano is a true treasure in our family, it's virtually irreplaceable. I would use these guys to move my piano again in a heartbeat!
