I have moved with Amazing Moves four times over the past decade. The first two times, they were excellent, and I decided to make them my automatic mover of choice. The third time, about 2 years ago, I noticed for the first time that they began to contract out their workers - they were not employees of Amazing Moves as they had been before. The work was not good; they lost items of ours for the first time, and it was noticeably slower than ever before. Last year, I moved with them for the last time, ever. They contracted the job out to another group of people and sent half the people they were supposed to. They came to us with NONE of the equipment, boxes, or materials needed. We had to provide them with tape and boxes. The job took TWICE as long as it should have. We were anxious, stressed, and extremely frustrated. It has been disappointing to see how far this company has fallen. I cannot recommend them anymore. I have used Amazing Moves in the past and have been very pleased. I recently moved (locally) and this was not that experience. First, they gave me an estimate and then had to add people, which resulted in a $1400 charge. They were the highest priced of the movers I got estimates from. They also did not place boxes where they were clearly labeled. This resulted in me having to move my own boxes to the rooms they were supposed to be in. I could understand this if we hadn't done a walkthrough and if I hadn't clearly labeled everything but, again, not the case. The men on the crew were very nice - I did feel uncomfortable when at the end of the day, I was presented with the option to tip the 10%, 15% or 20% - On a $6000 move! I feel like that was a little excessive (am I cheap? I was going to give them $75 each). Finally, a week after my move, I went to unpack a box of crystal wine glasses and they were all shattered inside of the bubble wrap and paper I had packed them in. There were five boxes of these and only one was damaged. When I called to tell them this, they told me the standard "you packed it" and shut me down. Because it was only one box, and the items were shattered, it was clear the box had been dropped. Of course, it was marked fragile on all sides. I really didn't want to leave a negative review, but unfortunately, I was left with no other way to express my concerns. My move was scheduled with the understanding that two trucks and a larger crew would be provided. However, due to call-outs, only one truck and a smaller crew arrived. As a result, some items were left behind because there simply wasn't enough space on the single truck. While I understand staffing issues happen and I was okay with that part, the real issue came afterward. I was verbally told I had 60 days to file a claim for any damage. The movers themselves were excellent -- they worked hard and didn't finish until nearly 9 PM, which I appreciated given they were short-staffed. Unfortunately, one television was damaged in the move. Due to the size of my home (3000+ square feet), unpacking took a significant amount of time. When I attempted to file a claim six weeks after the move, I was abruptly told that I had only 30 days to do so -- per something I signed -- and that there was nothing more they could do. No flexibility, no empathy, just "end of discussion." It's unfortunate that such a strong effort by the crew was undercut by poor customer service on the backend. Moving is stressful enough; the aftercare should be supportive, not dismissive. read more

I'm telling you... don't use them. Whatever you do!! Moving companies won't move firearms. My husband drove his guns and my plants 17 hours away to where we are moving. A couple days after he got home from that trip he noticed he left a handgun in his nightstand. Fast forward a few days later, the movers came and after they packed up my bedroom, my husband remembered "omg!! That gun!!" I immediately knew it was stolen and wouldn't you know it?? It was indeed gone. My husband told the supervisor and the supervisor said "let's look because there WAS a gun there. I seen it." We tore through all the bedroom boxes and nothing. No one would fess up either. We had to file a police report/report it stolen and apparently it's now an "internal investigation" with this company. Now we're driving to our new home and I'm a wreck wondering what all else was stolen AND what that guy is going to do with a stolen gun. That will keep me up at night. Now the actual service was the worst I've ever had with a moving company. They packed maybe 80% of the house and left random items. Lamp shades, weights, random shampoo and soap bottles, all cleaning tools, rugs, you name it. They also left tape and scrap paper all over the house. I'm still so mad about the whole experience. Amazing Moves helped unload two trucks of giant furniture and boxes after my 80-year-old parents made the move from Idaho Falls to Denver. We worked specifically with Myron's crew of five people and they were efficient, polite, and no-nonsense. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! during a move months ago from my girlfriend's house, a $10,000 Chanel bag was missing. She has been trying to deal with this situation for over 2 1/2 months and they will not return her call, the detective on the cases call, and have refused to take responsibility and contact their insurance company. They would not respond to her emails, and every time she called to talk to the owner she was either told they were busy or not in the office. After 21/2 months, this has still not been resolved and she is still trying to file a claim. They have not been helpful in anyway, have denied responsibility and this issue has still not been resolved. We worked with this company on two moves. The move we did with them four years ago went really well. They got the move completely done in half a day and were easy to work with. Our move this year went very badly. We were quoted one day for the move based on our property and they took two days. Both days they arrived three hours late with minimal communication about what was happening. When we inquired about the issues they blamed us for not giving them accurate information or other employees for telling us wrong information. Also our property was not packed well leading us to have to throw away damaged property. I would not recommend using this company and I won't work with them in the future based on this experience. read more

Beware of all good reviews since they were from original management and ownership. Brand still exists but really poor experience. New brand took mgmt took over about a month ago. No one answers the office phone, only "sales" No inventory sheet upon delivery to confirm they've delivered all of your things Everyone is subcontracted out even the ones driving their trucks. "Amazing" moves employs a sub-contractor model, so one representative comes out, prices your move as "white glove," then the day of the move, a team completely unfamiliar with your home or project arrives for packing. Very stressful - the project was understaffed by 2-3 people, and then extra time is charged. The staff became really tired and was under stress. Adding to the understaffing approach, the business model involves using an enormous amount of packing materials - up charged accordingly. A total racket, and a total waste of materials and time, this moving company provided no strategy, no expertise and charged 40% more than was necessary - to cover their subcontractor business model. read more

While the move itself was ok and the team that moved my items were friendly and very hard working, the post move close out has been terrible. There were a few items damaged and missing after the move was complete. I'm not surprised or upset by this, it happens, but after filing a claim through their system and contacting the Claims Representative, Larrisa Lord, numerous times via phone and email, I've had no resolution. Unless they actually answer their phone, which is extremely rare, all attempts at contact have been ignored. Last I heard, over two months ago now, my claim was pending approval for compensation for my lost and damaged items. Since then nothing and I can't seem to get anyone on the phone or by email. They did an amazing job. We are SUPER covid cautious because we have a toddler with severe lung disease. They had the best covid protocols of all local movers we called. All guys masked the whole time. They were super nice, FAST, and efficient. It was like a swarm of locusts descending on a field. They swooped in and like 2 seconds later nothing was left. It was amazing. We were just going to have them do the big stuff, but we are SO GLAD we had them do a full truck. Made our lives a billion times easier. They damaged the new house in a couple of spots bringing big stuff in - a gouge out of the wood banister, some wall damage. They filled out a form while they were here and we got a call the next week from their damage department who sent out their preferred handyman. I've moved many times in the last 50 years but this company by far was the worst. The job was to fill pre-marked boxes and furniture into a POD for storage and to load and move their own moving truck and move the rest of the furniture and other items to another local location. What a disaster. When I looked at the POD, which was loaded with some fairly expensive and fragile items including 86" LCD TV, etc. Nothing was secured. Nothing was tied down. To the owners slight credit he came out and put one loose rope at the end of the load. Hopefully when I open the container in 10 months some of it will have survived. The second part of the move was fairly routine but of the 4 movers only 2 complied intermittently with COVID mask recommendations and 1 other a little less and the other not at all. We've used these guys three times in the last 2 years. The first move 2 years ago was unremarkable. Our second move a few weeks ago there was a major miscommunication regarding the team they sent for packing who was extremely rude about it and I ended up having to spend a whole day packing our kitchen. The move today is going horribly, two of the three movers are slow as molasses and appear to be dazed and sleep walking through the move. I'll be really frustrated if they try to charge me full price for this move. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone in the office, all calls go to voicemail and many people only work certain days. So far, the only thing Amazing is that I'm amazed they are still in business. I selected them to take ground floor only furniture, no contents in anything, into storage while new flooring was being installed. Reviews here and seeing their trucks regularly convinced me that they'd be good. And while the crews taking things out and then returning them were terrific, friendly and professional, that is only part of my move and the rest has been troubling. Storage seems to be the problem, with our things getting mixed with other items (a large rock among them) and significant damage for which, 3 weeks later, I'm still waiting for their repair and return and repair of other items. I'm being told that the missing piano piece we a factory defect, that it had been glued back on and so forth. The latter isnt true, it was bought new and of course it had to be a separate piece as the covering can't wrap around the piano. But more so, I'll have it glued but they can't seem to find it now. Again, ground floor only. Easy street parking in front. No packing, no stairs, elevator, nothing. Maybe they're good for a traditional move but based on my experience, I wouldn't use them again. And importantly, I've had over 20 moves, interstate, local and even 3 international with containers. This should have been one of the easiest and best. Anything but. read more

We recently used Amazing Moves Moving. We had them store our personal contents in a "secure vault" while we waited for our home to be completed. When they delivered our personal property to our new house they had lost my elliptical and a vacuum cleaner. At least that's all we can account for at this time. How do you lose an elliptical? They turned a dining room table upside down without a protective pad, scratching and pitting the table top, simultaneously damaging a wood floor. They finally agreed to pay for some of the damage but we've yet to receive our final payment and they don't respond to inquiries on when the payment will arrive. That was weeks ago. I've never experienced as bad a move as this one and the customer service to rectify the problems was terrible. Beware! read more

Think back (if you haven't blocked it out completely) to the last time you moved - for me, it was a nightmare, partly because in the past I've found movers lack a sense of organization and planning. Moving is not just about packing up & dropping off at the new place. Moving requires a plan, as in, "how in the hell are we going to get all of this crap into that little truck?" Amazing Moves are truly pros. They came in, sized up the job, created a plan, inventoried all, and I mean ALL of my stuff, loaded it up and did it in the time they said they would. We used Amazing Moves to move from Denver to Santa Fe. They packers and movers were on time and efficient. The problem we had with the company is they damaged a number of our valuable antiques after we explained that the pieces were valuable. They broke arms off of chairs and broke one chair in half. In addition, they broke a table leg plus the arm of a chair that we had reconditioned and was in mint condition. The adjuster evaluating the damage said they would not cover antiques as "the wood gets dry and is easily broken". We purchased $20,000 of damage insurance and they have offered $500.00. This is a scam. If you have valuable furniture or antiques, do not use this company as you will be disappointed in the condition of your pieces on arrival. Robert Wright read more

Friendly and professional 2-person team movers came to deliver large couch and some smaller pictures... My apartment has weird angles in the front doorway- where the couch had to be brought through, and as a result, the front entry walls were severely damaged. i was reassured that the company would be contacting me to send someone out to fix the walls, but no one ever did. So i called and was routed and re-routed to different people, finally connecting with "customer relations" lady-- to which she replied she couldn't find me in the system , and therefore couldn't help me. WHAT?!!!! Well, I sent her my paper work and receipt via email, and wrote several emails to try to set up a time for the repairs. No response. I also called at least several times, leaving voicemails. I had then talked to someone else at the company, to which she also assured me 'Victoria' would be contacting me, directly, to set the repair appointment, as it was her job as claims manager, to do so. Again, nothing. And once again, i sent a final email to try to resolve this dispute..Still, nothing. I cant help but feel avoided and dismissed as a customer. I am not happy. read more

I waited a week to write this review, hoping it would help me be a little more objective. My experience with Amazing Moves was not great. The Good: - The flat rate I was quoted the second time around seemed pretty fair. In retrospect, I should have taken it and not lifted a finger after packing our boxes. - The movers (3 guys) were good dudes. They took their time (good because they were careful, bad because they were on the clock) and were genuinely nice guys. The Bad: - I spent two weeks (17 trips) moving boxes and small furniture so that I could save some money by going with the hourly rate. Complete waste of time and energy. - We were supposed to have 4 guys arrive at 7:30am. We had 3 guys arrive at 8:00am. While we were eventually only charged for 3 guys, I became the 4th guy in an effort to speed things up. They began charging us at 6:45am though. - While the moving guys were nice, they definitely didn't move with a sense of urgency and there was wasted time (long bathroom break, having to assemble a piece of furniture a second time, etc.). - Our bill was a couple hundred bucks less than the flat rate quoted - after all that. Needless to say, I was pretty upset and after talking to the sales rep about it, he spoke to his manager, knocked $50 bucks off, and ran my card (without my permission). Didn't even call to update me on the status. MY RECOMMENDATION: Shop around and if you can find a company that offers a flat rate that seems fair (even if that's Amazing Moves), TAKE IT. The hourly estimate is not the wise move. No matter what you do, they'll end up getting the number they want. read more

Did not show up. At all. I was given an arrival window time of 12-1:00 today. Because I have a lot going on and would like to do other things today, I called in shortly after 1:00 for an updated ETA (as the movers had not yet arrived). I was told dispatch would call me back. Dispatch has not called me. I called in a half hour later (approximately 1:30) for an ETA update. I was told dispatch would call me back. Dispatch has not called me. I called in a half hour later (about 2:00) for an ETA update. I was told dispatch would call me back. Nobody is calling me back. It's 2:30 and still no updated ETA. I called and emailed my sales representative, Sho, and she isn't calling me back either. Update: At 3:20, I get a call from Jacob that Amazing Moves won't be able to make it today. Unbelievable, considering moving is already stressful enough. Update 8/9: In its response, Amazing Moves claims that they offered another crew for later in the day on 8/4. This is simply NOT true. When Jacob called at 3:20 on 8/4 (3-4 hours after my arrival window on this day), he informed me that no other crew could be found for 8/4 and offered 8/5 instead. I paid a deposit on 7/13 to be moved on 8/4. During our last phone call on 8/4, Jacob informed me that he would notify the accounting department to refund my deposit. He did not follow through and I had to call in again 8/8 to get a refund of my deposit. The deposit was issued promptly after my call. read more

Avoid like the plague They were supposed to pack day 1, move day 2, and unpack day 3. Day 1 went well, BUT day 2 they sent a different team. The lead mover and Amazing Movers managed this beyond horrifically. They did an inventory of what was to move, however, they sent too small of a truck. The lead mover was poor at managing his team. There was a 2 hour delay when they realized the truck would not fit everything and they had no other truck immediately available. A second truck was finally sent to pick up the balance (they forgot some things when I discovered upon going to my old place to clean up). The balance of my furniture arrived 2 day's later and needed special permission from my HOA for a second move in. Many things were broken and packed poorly by the second team. The salesperson said 2 times that I would not be billed for the delivery 2 day's later of overage due to sending a wrong size truck and that "we". He also said I would not be billed for the wasted\stalled time when the team was attempting get a second truck to my place for the overage. He told me not to pay the drivers and that we would sort out the billing together. The salesperson had put a $400 deposit on my chargecard before the move. I asked him to delete my chargecard information since I was recovering from an identity theft issue. He said he would. The day the rest of my belongings showed up (reminder: I was told not to pay the driver by the salesperson and that the bill would be adjusted because of their errors and mishandling), INSTEAD, that evening, AMAZING MOVERS MADE AN UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE (they had promised to delete my information when I paid the deposit) to my card for ALL the hours included wasted time due to their errors. I'd call this criminal since they had no authorization to use my chargecard number again. Additionally they had pictures of things damaged and broken due to poor handling and poor packing by the second team by the third driver who delivered my furniture after a 2 day delivery delay. I called my charge card company and reported the unauthorized charge and I'm wondering if I should file a police report for saving my charge card number despite saying it would be deleted and "charging my charge card without my permission". I was concerned that I had overestimated the capacity of the pods, but the incredible team of Robert Stuart, Paul Roy, and Bennie Hernandez worked their magic to pack everything tightly and securely in the containers. This is the second time I've hired Amazing Moves--16 years apart--and the quality is still impressive.
