I hired Fischer Van Lines in March 2021 to empty and move my stuff from my eight year old storage unit in Denver to my new apartment in Westminster. I filled out the quote online and received a call from their logistics manager the same afternoon. We went through what my move involved in detail. She was great, thorough, funny, and a delight to speak with. Moving is stressful enough; it is so much easier when people care and choose to be helpful. She followed up with me the same day with a written quote and then again a couple days later to set my day and time. My move was initially scheduled for that winter storm and blizzard weekend. I got a call from the logistics manager again asking if I was okay rescheduling to the following weekend. Of course I didn't mind. Moving in the middle of a snowstorm sounded like a terrible idea to me too. On the morning of 20 March 2021, I was ready to get the show on the road! I made my way down to Denver to Public Storage to remove junk and prep the rest of my stuff for the movers. I got a call around 9:15 AM from the team to let me know they would be would meet me at the storage facility at 10 AM. They showed up at ten minutes early. They followed me to my unit and then discussed how they wanted to load the truck. I had already removed most of the boxes but all of the furniture and the extremely heavy boxes and crates were left for them. Good movers are a joy to behold. They got the rest of my belongings loaded onto the truck in 15 minutes. I drove ahead to my apartment to verify the spot for the truck and to open my apartment. They arrived about 15 minutes after I did. I showed the team lead the route to my apartment along with stairs and elevators. They organized my belongings and coordinated bringing them up. I sat and watched. It took them an hour and a half to get all of my stuff into my apartment. They even out of the kindness of their heads assembled my table and a couple of chairs for me. I signed all of the paperwork, paid them for their services which were excellent and the amount was totally reasonable, and they left me to my fully furnished apartment. The company followed up with me a few days later via email and phone call. I have nothing but the best things to say about Fischer Van Lines and their services! I received a recommendation to use Fischer Van Lines to move my furniture from the living level of my house to the garage due to the wood floors being worked on. The quality of the two gents who moved the furniture was great, not only in attitude, but in professionalism and care of moving the furniture. A+! The issue is the quoting from Jeff Fischer (the owner I believe). We spoke as well as had a number of text exchanges and based upon the convo and info exchanged via text, I hired Jeff expecting the cost of the move out/in would be a total of $640 (noted in text exchange). However, after the movers completed the work, I was presented with an invoice for $460 which reflected half of the total bill for move out/in. I paid the invoice and sent Jeff a text asking him to reread the text exchange and to call me so we could discuss/resolve. When we did speak, he insisted that the cost he quoted was for one way when the text and convo was clearly for the entire job. Why would I want a quote for a half a job?? Jeff stated that the invoice reflects what he said. That is true but the whole story is that I hired him based on the information we discussed and what is reflected in the text exchange. The invoice came after our convo and I should have read it carefully but did not as there was a clear understanding in my mind based upon the conversation and text exchanges. Jeff got very heated and accused me of saying he was liar/dishonest, etc. I did not. However, I did cancel the return visit of his crew to move the furniture back because he did nothing to try to resolve. He spent his time berating me and trying to show me how he was right and I was wrong. In closing, I would not recommend Fischer Van Lines for any work because of my experience with Jeff Fischer. If you do decide to consider his company, I strongly suggest that you make sure that invoice you receive after you think you have a mutual understanding is reviewed and is accurate to that understanding. Let me start by saying I'd like to give a very positive review to the actual guys that helped us move over the weekend. Mike, Scott, Alex and Mario are all great guys. The reason for the one star review you ask? It's because of my extremely negative interaction with the owner, Jeff Fischer. You can see similar other reviews, all of which he calls "fake reviews". We had two phone calls, during both of which he was beyond rude and unprofessional: Phone call #1: at the end of the move: He has one of his guys put the phone on speaker and then in front of everyone standing in my living room he basically demands that I give a 15% tip on a $3,500 move cost. That's a $525 tip to which I said no and he created this very awkward environment. Phone call #2: After repeated emails to him and his office manager regarding the furniture that was damaged during the move, he finally calls me back and says I shouldn't expect him to buy us a new couch (Not what I had asked for), and that he'll send someone to glue and stain it all back together. When I asked for details of which company they will be using to repair the damage, he got all upset and kept saying "some guy" and continued to talk over me, regurgitating that he knows what he is doing because he's been doing this for 30 years, over and over and over again as if he has something to prove. It didn't take long before he started to throw out all sorts of profanities at me, like the complete uncivilized, unprofessional person that he is and hung up. So I would say that unless you want to end up with a similar experience as me, do yourself a favor and pick a different company for your move. read more

I hired Fischer Van Lines because I was concerned about moving some expensive and irreplaceable furniture and reviews were very positive in this regard. The move went very smoothly. Freddie and his crew did a really good job wrapping our furniture and shrink wrapping it. We had a minor issue with some bolts being bent on a tabletop. Freddie wrote out a damage report and took pictures. My only complaint is that after over a week nobody contacted me. I called and talked to a person who said they would talk to the owner and get back to me that afternoon or the next morning. Didn't happen. I waited and called two days later to follow up. Fisher Van Lines- Denver area. Do not use this company. They moved us in March 2021, we did our research and found that they were insured and had good reviews. They led me to believe that I would be working with an insurance company if there were any damages. Prior to loading, the lead mover noted any marks or issues with our furniture on their inventory sheet. At unload we all saw that the dining table had been ruined with deep gouges in the veneer and the lead mover took pictures & sent them to the FVL office. I was assured it would be taken care of. After many emails I learned that FVL was handling this as a self-insured move in which THEY would determine if there were damages, cost to repair, etc. After many calls & emails the owner informed me that the damages I was claiming as a result of the move had been there previously, which was not the case. Had it been true the table would have been written up on the pre-loading inventory sheet by his movers and it was not. After further emails and discussion we got nowhere and, in November, I agreed to settle. I had suggested going to a third party (Arbitration or Small Claims Court) to settle our disagreements but these were ignored. We were tired and a family member had become seriously ill - I decided to end it and accept their offer of $700 (a net of $300 after our $400 "insurance" purchase). But before receiving payment I was required to sign a document saying that if I made any "disparaging degrading, offensive or otherwise negative remarks . . .(including social media posts) I would pay them $3500.00 for immediate legal fees and court costs until such complete costs were determined in litigation"..... The owner informed me that I would only receive compensation if I signed the document. I wouldn't sign. Do not use Fisher Van Lines; the company is dishonest. Is a "non-disparaging" document even legal? No wonder they had good reviews. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOVERS I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!!!! I was told when I moved out of my old house that the first month of storage was included in the move out charges. After they moved me into my home 5 months later they said I was never told that. LIE! I don't make stuff up, I know what the person handling the paperwork told me when he was at the house on move out day. They attempted to double bill me for a month of storage, billing me twice in the same month only days apart, and when I disputed the charges with American Express FISCHER threatened me. They did not do an inventory of the items they were taking or the number of boxes like the better moving companies and did not return multiple items/boxes to me despite my requests to find them, since they were in their storage facility, after all. Im glad I kept all my precious, delicate and personal items with me and did not give them to Fischer to store. I may not have gotten my most sentimental items back if I had. They damaged my new living room furniture, placing deep gouges in my new coffee table and big black handprints on my also new off white love seat. They destroyed my Dyson Animal Vacuum Cleaner which was not only scraped everywhere but did not work properly, it was only a couple of years old and only used by myself. When I went to use my BBQ after being in my home for a couple of weeks I found the LP tanks were missing. FISCHER DENIES ANY RESPONSIBILITY . When they deliver your furniture they make you sign something that says you will report anything that was wrong within 48 hours. I am a 64 year old woman who moved a 3300 square foot home without help unpacking. Because I am alone and most of my things were new or near new because no one used them but myself, I was certain of their condition when they were taken by Fischer. It took me weeks to unpack all alone and therefore find some of the problems and they were not only unwilling to assume responsibility but threatened to take me to court for disputing the double charges for the storage. ON TOP OF ALL THIS THEY ARE THE MOST EXPENSIVE GAME IN TOWN. When I chose them I was told that the reason they were a bit more expensive was because they were the only moving company in the area with the credentials they had. DON'T BELIEVE IT. I have moved cross country with national moving companies without any incident at all. They provided a full inventory including the number of boxes and unboxed items and the condition of all furniture with notations of specific flaws such as scratches, dents and dings. Im sure the others who have used this company and given them great reviews could have possibly had a good experience or were friends of the company. For my latest move, Mike and Nick did an awesome job - they were incredibly professional, efficient, and flexible. and they managed to move my enormous RH couch without breaking their backs! Fischer moved us on February 29, 2020. They did the following damage: 1. Grove walnut credenza: Leg and support complete broken off. Deep gouge to the top. Dropped the shelves into the stairs. Broke off one of the door pulls. 2. Storage bed: Lost all of the hardware and left unassembled. 3. Sofa cushions soiled. 4. Step stool lost. 5. Peloton exercise bike: Lost one of the feet on the bottom that keeps it level. We paid extra money for insurance, but we've received zero compensation to date. They made an attempt to GLUE the credenza back together. It's clearly visible. When they returned it, they dropped it into the stairs and damaged the shelves. The large gouge on the top is right in the front. No attempt was made to fix. The Peloton bike is still missing the foot. We have to prop it up with a stack of construction shims to keep it level, but that only works for about 5 minutes. No attempt was made to replace it. They stored the sofa in their warehouse. When delivered, that main body was shrink wrapped. The cushions were loose and heavily soiled. It doesn't appear they were covered in the warehouse as they are a visibly darker (soiled) than the rest. Oh, and this was recently upholstered. No attempt has been made to clean it. We have been sleeping on the floor for over a month. They told us they are not able to get hardware to put it back together. No attempt has been made to make it right. We paid all this money and insured the value of our belongings JUST IN CASE something happened. It was a complete waste of money, and the owner is now refusing to return my calls. read more

I rarely write reviews but this one I could not allow other individuals searching for a reputable moving company, to become victims of this horrible moving commpany. I would NEVER use this moving company EVEN IF they were the LAST movers on the planet!!!! If you need more details read on. BUT seriously RUN far far far away !!!! ANYONE ELSE would be better! For starters, all of our hanging clothes were to be placed in wardrobe boxes, instead, they were in trash bags and thrown on the floor in the new closet. I had to spend over $500 to have everything repressed. They forgot to detach the washer dryer hooks up and they stole my bag of all my hand tools SOOOO when I went to install the NEW washer dryer hook ups that I had to go out and buy, I did not have ANY tools to do the job myself. I spent an additional $500.00 to replace the tools. They set up our bed upside down and with missing screws, SOOOO once again without any tools.........you get it. There were over 8 large boxes that were marked for the downstairs which were left upstairs. They lost or stole many of my rare house plants that had a value of over $200.00. Oh and then the OWNER...there's that... When I contacted him, he was arrogant, rude and refused to do anything and denied any issues. The 4 crews members during the load up and load off were very verbal regarding what a terrible boss and employer he was and were talking openly about starting their own company. After paying them over $4600.00 for the move and ALL of the headache and expense of replacing, repairing, re-moving mis-placed HEAVY boxes etc...and there is so much more, but I am sure you get the picture. We had Freddy, Jay, Kevin, and Gary move us from a townhouse apartment to a single family home in early December. The move was super local (only a mile away), but the crew hauled ass and got our belongings out of our rental and into our home in less time than I expected. They were super efficient and careful moving our belongings, and also really friendly. Fischer's quote came in under other moving companies we had reached out to, and I'm happy to say we still got great quality service. The only negative was I wish we had used mattress bags on our mattresses. We had purchased several on our own, but decided not to use them at the last moment since we already had mattress protectors on. The mattress covers got kind of dingy in transit, but I guess we should've expected that. read more

Fischer Van Lines assisted me with an in town (Denver) residential relocation. Charles provided an accurate over the phone total time estimate. He called several day before the move to confirm. At times on the phone he seemed rushed, but was always professional and knowledgeable. He inspired confidence in the selection of Fischer Van Lines and moving process. The move was planned for two days. Steve, the foreman, called while on the way. He is easy to work with and maintained a professional leadership attitude the entire time. I was pleased that the same crew arrived on time both days. They took excellent care of my furniture and belongings. All three were careful to protect the walls, woodwork, floors and carpets at both ends. Everyone worked efficiently and took pride in their work. I was particularly impressed with how Steve and Jerome handled a large, heavy armoire. The whole crew also worked together to find a solution to moving a large dresser up a winding staircase.
