Trees went from ugly and misshapen to beautifully shaped. I was very pleased. They cleaned up all the cuttings.

We have spent thousands of dollars with Preservation Tree Servise. They come to our house every year to trim our trees. This year we have added their landscape service to our yard and unfortunately the results have not been great. We are now using a third. maybe 4th service agent as the turnover at Peservation Landscape Service. When we ask any question they immediately call their manager which is a bit concerning. Not to mention names but their manager might take days to respond a call or even text back. Looking at past reviews on Preservation Trees and they are from 2014???? read more

They sent an arborist out within a few days of my call and he was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. Further, he sent a professional quote within a few hours. I immediately paid my deposit but then never heard from them again regarding scheduling. I called and emailed but was told someone would call me back. . . after two and a half weeks, I reversed the charges on my credit card and sent them an email rescinding my authorization regarding the quote. Only, then did I get a phone call and the person on the phone flatly said, 'no problem' - I'm disappointed as this company was recommended by a landscape architect friend. Can't speak to their actual quality of work but their office staff and customer service is greatly lacking. read more

We had Preservation Tree Services come out and devise a treatment plan for us. And they did an incredible job. The crew was professional, friendly and respectful of our property. Owner of the service visited my property gave me his time and attention to laying out what I was hoping to achieve in my backyard by adding a couple of trees to my small property. I also requested assistance from him to provide plans to my HOA (Sendera Ranch) for allowing trees to be planted. He agreed to assist with that requirement as well for no additional charge. Tree pruning masters. No hassle, no mess, no fuss, and they just bill you later! After scheduling an initial consultation to assess the proper course of action for our overgrown oak trees, all we had to do is wait for them to tell us when they could be back to implement the plan. Within a week and a half, they sent a crew to make our front yard presentable again and allow our grass to see the light! Had the trees not looked infinitely better when we returned home on the day of the pruning, I would have never known anyone had been there - not a trace was left. A few days later, we received a bill with a detailed description of the services that followed the original proposal to a T. They offer online invoice payment and take all major credit cards. I don't see how it could get any easier! And for such a reasonable price! read more

I have used Preservation Tree and worked with our arborist for several years now after using other, less skilled/expert arborists. I will never use anyone else; the price is higher, but worth every penny. My live oaks are incredibly healthy now and have outgrown older ones on the same street! They brought my crepe myrtle back to life and planted two amazing trees that Chris, our arborist carefully selected with us for the specific needs/intentions we had. I especially love that the consultation is free! Then they work with you on when to optimally perform the work. Not greedy, rather professional! read more

I planted a tree bought by my mom in the '90's. I did everything wrong, including the "volcano" dirt pileup around the base, planting flowers around the base, too much water. A large root eventually sprung up from the ground (girdled root). Three other tree services said "cut it down, $400." I called preservation. They injected the trunk, removed the girdled root, and fed the root zone. They feed the tree twice a year, and it has never looked better. I hired Preservation Tree to trim a chinese pistache that was overhanging the sidewalk and needed some significant pruning. Although the work quality was below what I would expect for what I had been quoted, I am changing my initial review because I believe this was a one-off situation. After posting the review, the CEO of the company immediately called me. We discussed the problem and he has gone out of his way to make it right. I think the true test of a customer-oriented company is what they do when things don't go right, which does happen. I would give Preservation Tree another chance knowing that if something doesn't go right, it will be taken care of. read more

I used Preservation Tree for years and were always happy with them. But they must have new office staff, and their customer service is now non-existent. I made an appointment and they did not show up....I was told that they had called me but upon investigation realized that they were not calling my number. I was initially told that it would be over a week before they could reschedule, but after I insisted a second appt was tentatively made for the following day with the office staff saying they would have to confirm the appt with the arborist. I specifically asked that they call me back that day to confirm as I did not want to leave the gate open if they were not coming. I did not receive a call back, and I have never heard from them again. Now looking for a new arborist if anyone has any suggestions. read more

Preservation Tree did just an OK job thinning-out two large live oaks in my front yard. Their crew had no english speaking supervision...they trampled-down our jasmine by laying on during their lunch. I would not use them again. read more

I have been a customer of Preservation Tree for as long as I have owned my house, because I live in an older neighborhood and have many large trees that I want to take good care of. But they really shined most recently when I had a large tree fall on my house in a VERY precarious and dangerous position. The emergency service got an arborist over to my house right away, and a crew stayed until 11 p.m. to stabilize the situation. They were back the next day with a large crane to get the 5000 pound tree off my roof, safely and with no further damage to my house. Yay! read more

I have used Preservation Trees for several years. Each year I spent more more to save one sick Live Oak tree (total Was over $3 thousand). The tree is now dead and according to other arborist who looked at the tree, it was clear that it was not going to survive for some time. This is apparently Preservation Trees' business model to drain as much money as possible from their clients till the tree dies or is close, then to offer to take the tree out and put in a new one which of course is very expensive. Their one goal is profit! Do yourself a favour and shop around for other certified arborists. read more

I have used Preservation Tree Service several times at my home to trim & remove trees. They have always been prompt, professional and an excellent value. I have more than a dozen mature cedar elms and red oaks on my property, I will only let Preservation Tree trim them. They are too valuable to let anyone but the best take care of them. read more

The arborist was able to identify the two types of trees that were growing together. Eventually, one of the trees had to be cut down but even with fungal and other problems regular root feeding has kept the tree alive! I wish all my neighbors would use Preservation Tree. They are truly artists. So many of the tree services don't really understand trees and they cut off way too much which leaves the trees vulnerable to disease. I highly highly recommend them and remember you get what you pay for! read more

We tried Preservation Tree after using less expensive companies in the past. The first surprise was that the work crew showed up one morning with no advance warning. Luckily we were home, so we let them into the yard and they began working. As we watched from inside, we saw one worker trying to fix a large decorative weathervane after it got hit by a large tree limb that was cut. He couldn't fix it, so he just stuck it back in the ground. They also broke off part of a teak lounge chair as they hauled off limbs. The crew NEVER MENTIONED that they broke items. Then they were getting ready to leave, and we asked why one tree wasn't trimmed as per the agreement. The lead guy got irritated and asked US why we didn't say something earlier. We told management at Preservation that their employees 1)broke items and 2)failed to acknowledge or admit their fault. Preservation would not replace the broken weathervane or adjust the bill by its value. After weeks they had an employee attempt to weld it back together, and they only took $35 off of our bill of over $1000. Poor communication, poor customer service, below average tree work. But most importantly, they are dishonest and will not correct problems that are entirely their fault. If you use them, move or hide anything of value in your yard. read more

I engaged Preservation Tree after a bad experience with another tree company left me with the desire to just cut down all my trees and not have to worry about them any longer. My spouse was not having any of it and she suggested we try again with another firm. Thus the search led me to Preservation Tree Services. A Preservation arborist showed up on time in a company vehicle and identified himself as working for Preservation Tree. He immediately impressed me by listening first and asking questions. Not trying to hard sell me on anything. He was spot on in his diagnosis from everything I had read about the trees and he was able to tell me what type of trees were in my yard which Dallas Tree Surgeons never were able to identify. He looked at every tree on my property and commented on each. The trees in question he discussed verbally and then delivered a written proposed plan for the remedial work along with an estimate that we both agreed to in writing before he left my property. He was courteous and professional. I really felt I could trust this company to tell me the truth and provide a workable plan to allow us to keep our trees healthy. Preservation Trees came and removed two large branches broken by the ice storm. They cleaned up everything everything. Even stuff that was just laying around waiting for the next City pickup day. I am thrilled with the way my trees were trimmed by Preservation Tree Services! Their natural shapes were retained and you don't drive up and say "well, those people just got their trees pruned." We've been doing remodeling on our home and I had decided to take out an overgrown tree in my yard that I felt was blocking our view. After meeting with them, they convinced me to leave the tree and instead, prune it back. I really hesitated but decided to try their suggestion. I am SO happy I did.
