We were quoted a price to trim 2 live oaks and take down a half-dead red oak that was close to the house. Received a quote on a Wednesday for a reasonable price and had a crew out Thursday. I was impressed by the safety measures taken by the crew, always a concern. Great results for the trimmed trees (hope my grass appreciates the light and finally gets healthy) and you would never know there was a tree in our backyard due to their great cleanup of the area. We contacted them at the recommendation of a neighbor and very happy with the experience. read more

We were extremely happy with the service we received from Chippers Tree Service and we recommend them wholeheartedly. Came out quickly to give us a quote to trim trees and bushes in our front and back yards. Very knowledgeable and professional. The team listened carefully to our needs and requests and did exactly what we asked. Great results. Best tree trimming we have ever had done and we will use them again for sure. read more

We have used this company for several years. Rudy is an arborist and knows exactly what he is doing. We trust him completely and usually ask him to come out and do the job without a bid because we trust him and know they are reasonable. read more

I discovered we were paying WAY too much for homeowner's insurance, so I changed companies. The inspector for the new company wanted a giant pine tree behind the house trimmed. Obviously I didn't want to, but frankly, there were a few branches hanging over the house that had concerned me for years. The insurance company gave me a small window to get the work done. And of course it rained nearly every day. Chippers came out almost immediately and gave me a reasonable quote. And they were able to work me into their schedule so I could meet the insurance company deadline. Great folks. Friendly and reasonable. read more

So, it was Chipper's time once more! We saw a tree (literally healthy visually) collapse in our neighbors backyard. If it had hit our brand new fence it would have cost thousands upon thousands to repair anew with inflation. We had of course a few identical trees ourselve. We realized we had a hollow tree right in front of our home - and another very old one showing suspicious signs of the same strucktual degrading at its base. But, to the novice eye both the trees look very healthy and very vibrant and green. Varo (the arborist and head of all crews) knew about these trees from previous work. We let dead dogs lie as we have had to (unfortunately) deal with many trees here reaching the limit of their life in our brutal hot/cold environment called Dallas/Ft.Worth, Texas. Just so much money in the pot...and trees here are so vital! While we called with the intention of just cutting one tree with Varo's wise recommendation we (grudgingly) decided to cut both. As usual, he was very, very right. Examine the pictures of hollowed junctions in the core of these "Post Oak" trees. The one hollowed tremendously was the surprise actually- the one we wanted to salvage - it hung at about a leaning at a degree angle from vertical over our garage and also a limb over our house. It was a disaster, a 'sword' if you will hanging over us. Thank you Chipper's!!! read more

Chippers--outstanding arborists, prompt service and fair prices. Been utilizing their service for several years now. Highly recommend.

I just had a crew at my home for the first time. Beautiful work. Trimmed a tree beautifully in the front yard. Removed 2 monster overgrown bushes in back. So efficient. And to top it off every one of the crew were polite and personable. Very reasonable rates. I highly recommend. read more

They came out to bid as scheduled. The bid was very competitive. They came out on time and worked very hard. The trimming of 3 pecan trees was fairly extensive and they did a very good job. read more

The owners came out to give me a bid. I accepted it and the job was done 2 days later. I was Very happy with the tree taken down and they even cut me firewood off of it. The bushes weren't to my instructions but they look ok and grow fast. Overall they get a 9rating. I would recommend to anyone. read more

From our first call and meeting everything was a great experience. Rudy met us and gave us an estimate and we accepted the offer. It was to remove a tree in our backyard and grind the stump. A date was agreed on and we had to change it to the following day. This was no problem. The crew showed up and promptly went to work. They worked fast and professionally. There was a small little problem with the gate and Roxy was in our driveway th next morning waiting for a co-worker. we had to leave for a while and when we returned the co worker was just finishing the repair. I personally have not had a better experience, work, concern for our satisfaction and price was good also. you want be disappointed with their service. read more

I was recommended to Chippers by Treeland nursery and contacted them on Yelp. I received a really quick phone call from the company. From there we had some problems with the people not showing up when they were supposed to, but when Walter showed up, he was great. He gave us a quote, some information regarding our trees and seemed very professional and competent. We arranged for them to come on a Friday morning and were home when they arrived. We had 10 trees for them to prune. They were done and everything was cleaned up in less than an hour and a half!!! This would have taken us a month to do ourselves. I am so impressed with their work. The trees look amazing. We will be going to them any time we need tree service. Excellent service. read more

Chippers did an amazing job with my mature trees on my property. There was a limb that dropped, and some branches that I wanted removed or trimmed back to prevent any of them from possibly falling onto my house. They were on time, efficient, and definitely worth the money for the work performed. Hopefully I won't need another tree trimmer for a bit, but if I do, I will be letting Chippers know! read more

Chippers work is rated 5 stars plus. They shown up early in the morning with all kind of equipment and trucks. The crews are excellent and working from cutting down huge trees to clean up afterward. They work very hard under the Texas hot sun. The supervisors listen and the workers follow instruction carefully. They removed all the tree stumps, the leaves and leave driveway almost spotless. I cannot rave ENOUGH about Chippers Tree Service! They offered competitive quotes (about half what others were offering) and did their job very well and all in one day. From the time I first spoke to them they were able to come out about a week later and were on time and on point. Chippers removed two huge red oaks, one holly, one crape myrtle, and trimmed our remaining red oak, and ground all the stumps of the removed trees for a very competitive price. Those trees had been on the property for 40 years and were right next to the house causing foundation issues, so I'm not kidding when I say the whole neighborhood was watching and asking me for their number. Literally TODAY the house two houses down from me is getting their tree removed using Chippers and they are just as efficient and friendly as they were with me. By far the best part about Chippers is that they, well, chip! They cut up the trees into manageable parts and chip them on site and haul away all debris for FREE. Other quotes from other companies were going to charge me $200 to haul away the lumber. Other services cut up your trees and leave them on your sidewalk for the debris to be taken away on bulk trash day at the beginning of the month, but there is nothing worse than creating an eyesore and an obstacle for the neighborhood for a couple weeks. No one wants to be that guy! Several neighbors have privately expressed: 1. How good the house looks 2. That they were thrilled that debris was taken away same-day 3. How great it was that the work only took one day 4. How do I get in contact with Chippers? Chippers did such a great job that I am happy to refer them over and over again! I love how our house looks now and am grateful to have trusted arborists in my contacts whenever I need other trees pruned. Thanks, Chippers! read more

We had a tree that needed to be removed because the original owner planted it way too close to the house. We found Chipper's based on Yelp reviews and BBB information. Varo came by right away to give us an estimate and let us know when he'd be available to complete the job. He came out at the time promised and was respectful of our property throughout. He did a great job and for less than the other estimates we received. Highly recommend. read more

Once again we needed the service of this incredible company. Didn't hesitate to call Varo, the team leader who was instrumental in helping us selected various trees on our wooded property that needed skilled evaluation for cutting along with a crew that not only can do the job right, but most importantly protect themselves as well as your home In the cutting and hauling process. This 2nd time however was a challenge extraordinaire... We had a huge oak tree that the previous owners had allowed to grow right next to the house and whose branches went up at least 30 feet+ suspended over our roof. But, that's not the story, it is only the beginning... The previous owners had build a high quality pergola around the tree with an opening to accommodate this tree. An opening that I was having now to expand slowly from the roof top of my home to accommodate this beautiful, but dangerous tree over our newly renovated pergola - as well as our home. With "Chippers" I should have known that my apprehensions and fears would be laid to rest and quickly! The crew, (which I might add was nearly totally different), did the same amazing hardwork swiftly, professionally, and safely for all concerned. I really don't know what more I can say about this company, but from the moment you are in touch with the front office owners to the next moment dealing with your crew leader (and arborist) in our case Varo, to the crew themselves you will experience kind, courteous, caring service. And, did I mention this company will be upfront in showing you that their men have workman's compensation to protect them from injury liabilities on your property? Other companies we had called at first will not mention such issues and when asked point blank will reply "all you need to do is sign a waiver". Lastly, their pricing is more than fair for the dedication to service and immaculate clean-up the crews will preform. Again, this is one of the best companies we have had the pleasure to do business with in D/FW. You simply can't go wrong here, they define professionalism, honesty and genuine caring for the challenge that awaits them. We will be calling on them again you can count on it! read more

Chippers Tree Service - I had expanded the new plastic roofing on the pergola. But, the tree was now touching. - Tree Services Near Me - Grand Prairie, Texas

Tree killers! Hired to trim two trees. A healthy 30+ year old pecan with a minor storm-damaged limb, and a healthy 20+ year old live oak that encroached on the alley. They removed WAY too much foliage! Check out the pics. I'd estimate over 50%. The oak is already turning brown, I don't expect it to live. I will only use a certified arborists from on. They cost more, but care about the health and longevity of your trees, unlike this crew. read more

We called Chippers and they were extremely responsive. Rudy met with us and promptly prepared a scope and proposal. I needed these guys out for a second time and they did a great job. Absolutely no issues. The crew asked what I wanted and they did it. Totally cleaned everything up as they left. Customer service was great, they called and gave updates due to the heavy rains we had been having. Like others have said, they usually give the most competitive price so if you're calling other companies to come out and give a quote, you're wasting your time. These guys will probably give you the best price and the best work. I'm also amazed at how these guys can climb up these trees, stand on the limbs and not fall! read more

Chipper's were cutting a neighbors tree down. I was impressed by how quickly the work was done. I asked for a quote to have a neighbors dying tree cut back as the limbs kept falling on my home. He gave me a quote and was pre pared to start. My neighbor came over to inquire what we were doing to his tree. As it ended up that tree was also cut down as I was paying 1/2 the cost. Yea! My neighbor across the street had them trim 2 of their trees. Then 1 more neighbors scheduled to have 1 tree down and 2 more cut back. It was all because of the excellent work and clean up at a fair price. They now also do all my Son's tree service. They always go above expectations and are on time. Very impressed! Crew did a great job taking down several dead trees & even went the extra mile to trim one to see if it could be saved.

While this may be a brief review, it is sincere. Everything written by the others that note amazing customer service, amazingly fair quotes and excellent work are true. I used another service a year ago for some items and had them come out to quote the recent work; however, I was shocked by the price. I found Chipper's via Yelp and had Varo come out, he is amazing and the quote was nearly 40% less than the others and included more work. As the others say, stop getting quotes and just call these guys. read more

We've used Chippers several times over the past 5 years to trim our parkway trees and remove old trees and shrubs damaged by severe winter weather. They always do a wonderful job! Recently, we had them remove several trees from our backyard in prep for an upcoming remodel. From start to finish, they were great to work with! Varo, their sales rep, talked thru the project with us in advance and gave us a great/fair quote. Roberto, the job foreman, was super. He and his crew were so respectful of our property, and our neighbors', and cleaned up our yard, back alley and even our pool after the work was complete. I don't hesitate to recommend them. read more

I put off taking down a large Oak tree wedged between 2 houses because I could not imagine it being done safely. Chose Chippers based on the good reviews after getting 5 estimates. Prices were comparable to other estimates. I was so impressed by their professionalism and skill. They were prompt, efficient, safe, and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. It is satisfying to see a team of people who are really good at what they do. I highly recommend them, and will definitely hire them again when I have tree work that needs to be done. read more
