Knowing my trees are huge and my house and the neighbors are so close together is why I was so nervous about this tree removal process at first but when James and his crew arrived, I knew they were ready to take on the job properly. I was very impressed with the crew and the work that was done. Not only were they professional but they were also very kind. People often say the employee is a reflection on their boss and it's definitely true. James displayed professionalism, kindness and went above and beyond, his team members did as well. Today we had a return visit by our tree service, Baker Tree Service, who did our trees four or more years ago. They came in and removed the inner dead branches and remove some lower limbs near our roof and above the street. They also took some weight off of some limbs to reduce the chance of wind breakage in heavy weather. Over the years I had forgotten how happy we were with the quality and yard clean up they do. They chip everything on site and recycle through a local mulch service. We give them a strong recommendation. read more

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Do yourself and your trees a favor, do not hire this company!! I never write reviews, but this company has truly disgusted me and left us heart broken over many old elm trees! If you care about what your trees look like I highly encourage you to look for someone else to trim your trees. our experience has been horrible, and there is no fixing a tree when main branches have been cut off established old elm trees. My husband walked our property with James. He went over everything with him. With regard to the elms they were only to cut sucker branches off, and not go way up with cutting them off. There were other trees we have planted over the years that were supposed to be trimmed and others that were not. When he arrived to do trimming yesterday I asked him if he knew what he was supposed to do he said yes. I left the house about an hour before they finished. When I came home I saw they had cut main branches off of several of our old elm trees. One is now left with branches only on one side. It looks awful!! They were only supposed to cut off the low sucker branches, they were not supposed to cut any thing else off these trees. They also did this to one of our crepe myrtles they were not even supposed to cut. Additionally cut branches off other trees they weren't supposed to cut and then didn't even trim some trees that were the specific reasons we called a tree company in the first place. If you are ok having trees butchered to look the way they do around power lines you'll be fine with them. If you don't care if your trees don't look like they have been trimmed by a professional and you want someone to decide what and how they want to trim something regardless of what you have told them then you'll be ok with this company. Otherwise I'd def call someone else!! Ugh....never again! read more

I was putting in a new fence, and I had 11 stumps that lined one side of my yard, right at the fence line, of course. My fence contractor (A Full Deck...check that review out too!) suggested that she would try to get Baker out here to get those stumps out before the fence went up, as it would make life easier on everyone. The day after fence demolition, James showed up with his giant root destroying machine. During the de-stumping, he cut through my sprinkler pipe. Now, the pipe was only about 6" deep, so I'm pretty sure that anyone would have hit it. We got the water shut off, and he finished the stumps, then went to his truck to get the supplies needed to fix the pipe. He got it all taken care of and I got the water back on in very short order. Problems can come up with a job, and that doesn't concern me nearly as much as how someone responds to the problems, and James did EXACTLY what I would expect someone to do...he handled it. PS, the price was fantastic!! He says he has a big machine that works pretty fast, so he can do jobs at a lower price than other companies. read more

We had an excellent experience with this service! The owner was clearly very knowledgeable about trees and pruning and has been at this for decades. The entire team were incredibly industrious. Our trees look much better now, and the crew did a wonderful job cleaning everything up afterward, too. They were exceptionally kind to my young children, teaching them about the equipment. They even identified some issues with the roof that we were not aware of, and they helped me with my compost bin! read more

We called Baker Tree Service after buying a new house in the area and needed a tree trimmed to avoid roof damage and costly repairs. Over the next three and a half weeks we waited on the service to come and never heard a word back from them. Every five days I called and they would respond "we were up next and on the top of there list". Finally I called back inquiring when we might expect them to come the person who answered the phone had an attitude and was rude speaking to me. When asked if we were still at the top of the list and how many people were in front of us, we were told 10 people came before us still after 3+ weeks of being "at the top of the list". Then, she took it a step further and recommended that I cancel our service request with them, which I gladly agreed was the best decision. They will not be receiving any business from our family again. read more
