Was very satisfied with their service.he quoted me a price and I had found someone that would do it a couple hundred dollars cheaper.about a week later he called me back and ask if it has been cut down yet.i said no the guy was real busy right now and it wouldn't be for another couple weeks before he could get to it.well he told me he would match their price and a couple days later he had my dead cottonwood tree cut down.along with a limb coming across from my neighbors yard above my power line.also did a great job on clean up.the only thing left is for them to come back and grind a couple of stumps down. They couldn't really do it at the time due to all this freaking rain.all I can say is good job and I would recommend them. read more

Acorn Tree Services - Tree Services Near Me

I had a huge Post Oak Tree fall at my parents property. Acorn came highly recommended by the city as Code Enforcement had gotten some complaints in Southlake (imagine that) for the tree being close by a electric pole , but the guy from the city said they were a great company. So I called and spoke with Chris from Acorn. He got back to me right away. He was able to me be a day later and that was only because of my schedule not his. He came out and I told him what I wanted to have done to the tree. It was nothing fancy. It was get it off the citys electrical pole, the neighbors fence (which broke some) and they could just leave the rest for now lying on the ground. We talked about price and a day. His guys actually showed up earlier than the time stated and already had started working on things. Called Acorn and told her I would be writing a check and Brittany said she would be coming by to get it. But instead Chris came by to make sure the guys were doing what they should be. And he actually had them do a little bit more than originally planned! They did a great job for such a hot mess of a downed tree! So I would ABSOLUTELY 100% recommend hiring Acorn Tree Service. Thank you so much again Chris and to the guys that came and spent the time sawing away to get that tree down. I appreciate y'all so much! read more

I submitted an online quote in the beginning of the week and Chris was out at my place in just over a day. Complete professional and very realistic with scope of work and pricing. I got several other quotes from highly rated companies on Yelp, and they were all around the same price. I went with Acorn because Chris took the time to talk to me, not just drive by and throw a number at me. Quinn and crew literally just left my house and couldn't have been more professional. Granted, my job wasn't a big deal and didn't take very long, nevertheless the end result was great. I will more than likely be removing a tree or two in the next 3 years and already know I will be using Acorn. Highly recommend these guys! read more

Awesome service! Got the quote and stump grinding service on the same day I reached out to them. Called in the AM and they had availability in the PM same day. Had a large stump grinding serviced close to house .. the guys came out went straight to work cleaned up before they left, super professional service. Reasonable price and fast and super friendly service. Fron start to finish. No hassle. Call them and get your quote! read more

Fast and great service. Requested a quote on Friday afternoon, and was out to my house by Monday morning for an estimate, and work done on two large trees completed by Monday afternoon. Crew cleaned up very well. Would recommend and use again. read more

Owner Chris Steele has done an excellent job for me on tree service two separate times. First, he grinded down some stumps in my front yard. Recently he removed a large tree in my back yard and grinded the stump way down. He has always been on time, charges a fair price, and does the work himself along with a helper. Would highly recommend him to anyone needing tree service. read more

I reached out to the staff at Acorn Tree Services after a large tree in my back yard fell over into a public area of my housing addition. Chris Steele responded quickly to my call, assessed the situation, and quoted me a great fee to have everything fixed. Scheduling was easy, and within a couple days his team had removed all remnants of the tree. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. read more

An amazingly excellent company in every way. We had seven oaks and pines around our house and yard that had accumulated probably twenty years of dead wood and neglect. I delayed getting it done because I had not found a tree company that I felt confident with until a friend recommended Chris and Acorn. Chris answered himself and came by the next day to give a thorough walk thru and price estimate. The price was better than I'd expected and he had a crew ready to come by in two days that was insured and highly competent. On the day of the work, they all arrived on time as promised, set up, and got to work. It is enjoyable I find to watch a well oiled team do their work. The complete job was done in three hours, not the seven that I expected. The results were stunning, the cleanup was outstanding, and wood chippers were surprisingly quiet, and the crew was professional and VERY courteous to me AND my concerned neighbors. When it was all done, my neighbors came by and thanked me for hiring such a professional bunch! And I got the job done for about half of what I expected. Simply put, I have nothing but the absolute HIGHEST PRAISE for Acorn Tree Services. They are the tree trimming team you want to hire! Great work, Chris!!! read more

Acorn Tree Services - Two old oaks decluttered and ready to grow again. - Tree Services Near Me

Just had our trees done by them and amazed at how thorough and professional the crew is. This was not a quick job. They took the time to shape each tree properly and their clean up was outstanding. We got three quotes from different companies, save yourself time and just go with Acorn. Will use them again, when it is time. read more

Very professional! Timely and almost fascinating to watch the team in action. Very knowledgeable and cleaned up and left no traces of the days work. read more

The company was recommended to me by a friend. Before I knew about this company, I had quotes from three other companies. I am very happy that at the last minute I called my friend and got the name of Acorn Tree Services. This company is honest, professional and efficient. They cut down six trees for me, including two large dead oak trees. They finished everything within a day and half. They also clean up everything so well. I am very pleased with their service and will recommend it to all my friends. read more

These guys are great. Very professional. We were impressed by their customer service, and the work was meticulous. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. read more

Acorn did an excellent job on our trees. Would love to hire them again but booked up the the season

Very professional operation starting with the call to set up an estimate. We had a huge American Elm that began to die just after we moved into our new house. We also had 11 tree stumps that we wanted ground out. Chris was very helpful and thorough. Along with the estimate he took the time to recommend replacement trees for our fence line. We really thought it was going to cost more. Definitely worth every penny!!!! 6 guys worked very hard for 8 hours and left the backyard looking great! read more

Chris at Acorn was awesome. I was in the process of buying a home but had some worries about some tree roots on the property. I shot a quick video to show the issue and he quickly called me back with a professional opinion about the issue. He had experience working with the exact tree that we were nervous about and his recommendation helped us make a decision on the property. When we move to the DFW he will be out go-to arborist. Big thanks to Chris! read more

Competitive pricing. The crew arrived a couple of hours than originally planned which the proprietor communicated with us earlier during the day. A pear tree and a large elm tree were removed in approximately 3.5 hours with a crew of 3. Wood chipper brought on-site. Cleanup was efficient. They even picked up debris from the pool. read more

Acorn did an amazing job. Chris and his team were the most qualified, on time, under budget and the clean up was impeccable. I'd use Acorn every time. read more

Our trees were in need of healthy clean up, the crew that showed up to work did an outstanding job. They trimmed the branches encroaching the house, raised the apron, trimmed out all dead and diseased branches. They picked up all cut branches and trimmings and recycled with an on site chipping machine. Even the street was swept clean. These guys are real professionals, educated arborists that know how to care fore trees! Highly recommend! read more

I had a dead Oak that had to be removed, and a lot a dead wood to be thinned out of other trees. Chris came out and we discussed what was to be done with each tree. When the crew arrived to do the work, the supervisor and I again reviewed the work that was to be done, and it was clear that we will all on the same page. After the work was completed, we reviewed the trees a third time to insure all the work was done as discussed and expected. They were prompt and professional. The yard was cleaner when they finished then when they had begun. Definitely will use again. read more

Competitive pricing and prompt service. They removed a large oak tree that was over our house, pool, and power lines. Worked with us to get some cuts of the tree to make some furniture out of. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because the grinder cut the power for some outdoor lighting. read more

Had an appointment set up for Chris to come out and give us a quote today between 10-12. Sat around at house all day, and no show from Chris. Called the office at 2:15 to see what was going on, had to leave a message. Hour later sent a reply back to an ongoing email thread with their office, still no answer. Used this company 2 years ago and had great level of service, sad things have changed. Now have to find a new company that at least replies back and shows up for appointments. read more

Chris and his team are terrific to work with. Fair price and very professional. We have used Acorn Tree Services twice now and recommend them to everyone we know. read more

Chris Steele and his team were efficient, thorough and courteous. Their clean up after the fact was great. We needed a large tree removed and received quote on "deadwooding" other trees on lot and raising the canopy, as well as getting limbs away from house. His price was very competitive. Only knocks, but not worth removing a star, is there were a couple of communication gaps. He did not clarify up front that his estimate was a cash/check price and that paying with CC would have been more. He said he would speak with neighbor before cutting on their tree. They weren't available, but he failed to let us know his attempt to speak with them was unsuccessful. Definitely recommend his serves. read more

Acorn is the best, in price and service. We received a few quotes for cutting down and trimming 7 trees on our property. Chris' estimate was the most reasonable by far. His team was quick, efficient and the clean-up was excellent. I would reccommend Acorn for all your tree trimming and removal needs! read more

Chris and crew are great. From estimating to scheduling to the day they come out. PERFECT! The crew was great. They did what we agreed on. Cleaned up everything as if they weren't there at all. They did such a great job I had them come out a few weeks later to take care of my palm tree. Will use again for sure!!!! read more

This review should be no surprise, given already stellar reviews listed here. We had a GIANT 200 year old pecan tree, that sadly, was dead as dead can be. I called around to a few companies, Chris included, and many of his peers referred me to him and his team at Acorn, because of their arborist capabilities. Our tree was giant, like super giant. It was tickling the very high power lines, was within reach of the neighbor's fence, our fence, and the other neighbor's storage shed. This dead tree was an accident waiting to happen. Chris came out, the day after I called him, on a weekend during family time. So thankful for that. He took a look at this tree, and the many other trees on our lot. Gave us pretty standard pricing (a little lower than average) on the big dead pecan. He also gave me estimates on other trees around our lot. Tree by tree, so I could decide what I wanted to do. We only committed to the monstrous pecan, and he scheduled us for the next business day (Tuesday). When he arrived on Tuesday, we talked to him about the other tree out front. It also is a pecan tree, but needed some rehab. He gave us very competitive pricing on it, and said he also could do it that same day. We had a couple special requests, and he obliged, for no extra cost. Including leaving wood on site (for us to burn), and saving a branch with a super cute squirrel family living inside, as well as others. His team worked flawlessly. I believe he had at least 2, maybe 3 climbers who all leveraged current safety and climbing gear. They were courteous, and I'd gladly have them come work on our trees again. Chris and team were so prompt, professional, and did such wonderful work. I will surely leverage them for large arborist needs again in the future. Highly recommend these guys. Don't let the Southlake address frighten you. Their pricing is pretty standard, and isn't affected by the office location. Note, tax will be added to the cost of your services. read more

A wonderful experience. We've been putting off getting our trees trimmed for years and decided to bite the bullet and use Acorn. The crew was very professional, clean, and efficient. A few of my neighbors even came out to get their card or have their tree trimmed quickly at the same time as mine. They made my yard beautiful again...you'll be in good hands with Acorn! read more

I was really hoping this company would work out for me, especially with all the great reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have the experience others have had. First when scheduling a quote, they were more than two hours late without any notification, I had to reach out to them. Chris was friendly and informative when he came out. So I decided to give them a shot. Scheduling then became a problem too. Since they only work during the week that requires me to take off work. I think their normal process is to only schedule a couple of days before. I did let Brittany know this wouldn't work due to my schedule I would need to plan on a specific day. We scheduled it for today, they were supposed to be out at my house in the afternoon anything after 12pm. I received a call at 2:30, saying they would not be able to make it out. I took off work to be home and my neighbor had to make a special trip during lunch to put his dog up so they could have access to his yard. Based on the response I received, they were ok with loosing a customer and it was no big deal. Given my experience and unable to rely on them to show up, I have to go with another company. read more

Very happy with the service Chris and his team of guys provided. Cannot think of a reason to give a lower rating.

I had a mature crepe myrtle tree removed from the backyard of my townhouse. Chris and his crew were fantastic! They had to take down a portion of fence and work in a very tight area, so it really was a bit complicated, but that did not seem to be a problem for them. They took very special care of everything in my patio area and theirs clean up was great. They were professional, worked quickly and did a fantastic job. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Also the price was quite reasonable which was a great plus. read more

I had a rather large residential job (13 mature oaks, 7 pecans, 4 mature crepe myrtles, etc) and reached out to Acorn Tree Services. Chris was very quick to respond and quoted me a great rate. He and his team showed up on time, and finished exactly when he said they would. They did a fantastic job - I highly recommend Acorn and will definitely use them again! read more

By far THE BEST tree company in DFW! They were recommended on Home Advisor and I can see why! I called 6 companies to trim one tree and remove a tree plus stump grinding! They were almost the cheapest, but their reviews spoke volumes over the other company!! So glad I used them...have already had my neighbors ask about them! I definitely recommend this company for your tree needs...Chris was a TON of help!! read more
