Due to the storms, a limb from a tree too close to my foundation fell. I called a few places and was really impressed by this company. First of all, they were able to diagnose and give me a quote via pictures and text. I didn't have to schedule an additional time for them to come out and give me a bid. I felt like other places would have nickel and dimed to me for all the tree trimming that I was doing, but this place did not. I chose them for their quality and reasonability of price. Their crew came out and was efficient, especially around the foundation. They were all around really great, and I'm glad to have supported a small business. I expressed concern that I needed to trim some limbs around the utility lines, but based on my tree positioning, they were able to provide me with knowledgeable advice and said that it was not an issue. Jeff and his team did a fantastic job. He was highly recommended on Nextdoor, which is where I originally reached out to him. He responded super quickly and was able to come out to see our trees and walk us through the process. My husband and I just bought our first home, and while we are houseplant crazy (65+ and counting), we don't know a whole lot about tree care and maintenance. Jeff gave us a full rundown of everything we should know about tree care, and since we are kind of plant nerds, it was a great learning experience. The day he came out, he gave us a quote for trimming as well as potential removals, and he recommended an arborist to us because he had some concerns about a few trees. We needed to find out if the trees could actually live before trimming them (we had a really strange fungal growth on our massive live oak, which of course is our favorite tree!) I liked that he checked in on us to see how things went with the arborist and was patient and non-pressuring as we spaced out the arborist's treatment with his trimming. When the big day finally arrived, I came home from work to a transformed yard. The results were unbelievable! I was really nervous thinking that the trees would look smaller or less grand, but instead, they somehow looked taller and more elegant than I could have ever anticipated. Jeff said that he and his team were artists. He was right. When we moved into the house, everyone said things like "diy is great, just make sure to hire out electrical and plumbing". I noticed a large branch partially broken from my pecan tree. I was concerned because it had broken onto my roof and I wasn't sure if it was doing damage to the roof. I was referred to jeff for services and I immediately called thinking I would have to leave a message as it was 6 pm at night. Jeff and his team did a great job trimming my trees and cutting down and hauling off a problematic, potentially dangerous tall tree that posed a threat to my property. Jeff was very knowledgeable and helped me fix issues caused by previous less-experienced tree cutting services, and he helped me identify any other potential issues and proactively take care of them so I can avoid future danger to the trees or to my house. He was great with communication even when I couldn't meet him onsite, sending me images of the trees in question and talking me through his recommendations on the phone. He's also knowledgeable about the local bulk trash schedules and limitations, so we were able to plan for excess limbs to be set out at the right time for my bulk trash pickup, and he was conscious of the allowed amount I could leave for pickup. He gave honest assessments about the trees and gave a very fair quote for what turned out to be a lot of labor. Great service!!! I had 2 trees removed and some branches by power line cut. Jeff was very responsive and they were able to do the job quickly, which was wonderful because they got the split tree before it got my neighbors fence or house!! They also took care of the tree that died over my house that I had been putting off... His crew was also great, very professional, took the trees down quickly and safely. The tree site was also cleaned well. 8/21 update I had another tree limb removed today that fell on my neighbors house/pergola. I guess I'll have a good pecan crop but to heavy for the branch. We're extremely satisfied with the service of Jeff and his crew. I got an estimate from Jeff back in late January. It took awhile to get approval from our HOA to cut down three trees, but when I finally got back to him this past week (late March, two months later), he remembered everything he said he would do at the exact price he quoted. I initially wanted to just trim a bunch of trees in our back yard and side yard. I got several quotes from companies recommended on Yelp and by our neighborhood. While the others came out to do estimates, Jeff was the only one who sought me out to talk to me face to face, which SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY. He asked what I wanted, gave me his honest opinion about whether or not it was pointless to do a bunch of pruning for the reasons I wanted. He then spotted that one of the trees that I wanted pruned was actually kinda rotted and advised me to cut it down (which it was indeed rotting inside when they cut it). Then he advised I cut down a couple other smaller trees that were obstructing the view to my house. The other two or three companies gave me way higher estimates--don't get me wrong--they gave me what I asked for, but I would have wasted my money on the wrong things. Now we've gotten rid of a hazardous rotten tree and the view to our home is much more pleasing! His crew just cut down the trees this morning and very neatly stacked it for pickup. They cleaned up the mess and tidied up the sidewalk. I'm very impressed. Jeff called and checked in several times and even reminded me that he was going to removed a small tree for me for free. This is an excellent, honest, and professional crew. I highly recommend him. And I saw the reviews about him being cranky or something... he wasn't warm and fuzzy but he was definitely not cranky. No complaints. This isn't exactly something that you can compare your experience to that often, like restaurants, but I felt Jeff was honest and fair overall, and I had a good price, and the work was done in a quick and professional manner. I am a first time homeowner, so this time was a crapshoot in trying to find someone to do the work. I had a tree removal done for two really large old maples, both of which were sickly. After calling Jeff and texting him some pictures, he came by a couple hours later to confirm the ballpark figure he quoted. His guys were on time the next week, and were done within a couple hours. the removed trees were piled nicely waiting for bulk pickup removal. Apparently he works with another gentleman that owns the grinders for the stumps, and there was some issue on his end with the big grinder not being at 100%, but somehow they made it work and they got a grinder out to my house a couple hours after Jeff's crew wrapped up the cut-down and the cleanup. During this process Jeff was very communicative - I had two calls and several texts to make sure he was aware of what was going on, and I was happy. I probably won't need more trees removed in a while, but I would recommend you give him a shot. read more
