Highly recommend. I got a tree trim two weeks ago and everything went smoothly. Maria did an excellent job recommending what should be done with my 2 trees since i had never gotten the trees trimmed before. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also she did a great job communicating when date of job had to be changed due to rain. Then the team that did the trimming were professional and I was impressed with the quality of work and speed at which it was done. I will use Castro's for all my future tree trimming needs. read more

They did excellent job. They were professional and amazing with communication. We will be hiring them to remove our other trees.

Due to the storms, a limb from a tree too close to my foundation fell. I called a few places and was really impressed by this company. First of all, they were able to diagnose and give me a quote via pictures and text. I didn't have to schedule an additional time for them to come out and give me a bid. I felt like other places would have nickel and dimed to me for all the tree trimming that I was doing, but this place did not. I chose them for their quality and reasonability of price. Their crew came out and was efficient, especially around the foundation. They were all around really great, and I'm glad to have supported a small business. I expressed concern that I needed to trim some limbs around the utility lines, but based on my tree positioning, they were able to provide me with knowledgeable advice and said that it was not an issue. Other tree companies were going to blindly chop it off. Yay for saving me money! They are on my 'Will use again' list. Thanks to Jeff and the crew! read more

Jeff's team cleaned up some dead trees in the back after the harsh freeze. Quick, friendly crew. Would highly recommend.

Jeff and his team did a fantastic job. He was highly recommended on Nextdoor, which is where I originally reached out to him. He responded super quickly and was able to come out to see our trees and walk us through the process. My husband and I just bought our first home, and while we are houseplant crazy (65+ and counting), we don't know a whole lot about tree care and maintenance. Jeff gave us a full rundown of everything we should know about tree care, and since we are kind of plant nerds, it was a great learning experience. The day he came out, he gave us a quote for trimming as well as potential removals, and he recommended an arborist to us because he had some concerns about a few trees. We needed to find out if the trees could actually live before trimming them (we had a really strange fungal growth on our massive live oak, which of course is our favorite tree!) I liked that he checked in on us to see how things went with the arborist and was patient and non-pressuring as we spaced out the arborist's treatment with his trimming. When the big day finally arrived, I came home from work to a transformed yard. The results were unbelievable! I was really nervous thinking that the trees would look smaller or less grand, but instead, they somehow looked taller and more elegant than I could have ever anticipated. Jeff said that he and his team were artists. He was right. When we moved into the house, everyone said things like "diy is great, just make sure to hire out electrical and plumbing". Electrical and plumbing-we've all heard that, but what they NEED to add to that list is tree trimming! It is insane what a tree expert can do to transform your yard. I'm so glad we went with Jeff and his team. Thank you Jeff!! read more

Jeff and his crew did a fantastic job with a challenging project. We had a quote from Jeff within 24 hours of calling and the job was done within a week. Fast, professional, and excellent pricing. I would recommend him to anybody with tree trimming or removal needs -- very high-quality work and a good value!! read more

Been using Castro's Tree Service for years. Recently with the bad weather, had top of tree crash down on roof. Came over immediately to evaluate and then were here the very next day and as always did an amazing job! I cannot rate Mr. Castro and his team enough. Fair and honest and super efficient. It really is such a sense of relief to work with this company that does such a stellar job and fairly. Mr. Castro's knowledge is unbeatable!!! It's the reason I rely on him for any and all of my tree services. Highly recommend. I would give them six stars if allowed. Thank you, Mr. Castro for the best service around. read more

I will add to the positive reviews for this tree service company. I had a number of trees trimmed and a full grown cedar tree removed from my property. This was all done within 2 and a half hours. The guys who did all of the work were professional and knowledgeable. The owner of the company, Jeff Castro, is very nice and is easy to work with. The cost of the service I found to be very reasonable. For the amount of work done including the quality of work done the cost was great. I feel like I have spent my money wisely. This is one service provider I expect I will use again when the need rises. read more

Jeff was very professional. He worked with my hectic work schedule and provided good service. I had a tree up against my fence that split in half and was hanging over the neighbors roof. Very professional and reliable company. We had a broken tree that had been hanging towards my neighbors house that Jeff and his team skillfully and precisely brought down. Quite impressive! They also cut a few dead trees and trimmed another. Once they were finished trimming, you couldnt even tell it had been trimmed! Highly recommend this company ! read more

I noticed a large branch partially broken from my pecan tree. I was concerned because it had broken onto my roof and I wasn't sure if it was doing damage to the roof. I was referred to jeff for services and I immediately called thinking I would have to leave a message as it was 6 pm at night. Jeff took the time to not only answer but coordinate his team to come out first thing in the morning- all while he was out of town celebrating a birthday. The branch was removed at 9 am and the fee was very reasonable and non inflated. As a single mom who is recently divorced, jeff and his team were extremely appreciated- highly recommend this company! read more

Jeff and his team did a great job trimming my trees and cutting down and hauling off a problematic, potentially dangerous tall tree that posed a threat to my property. Jeff was very knowledgeable and helped me fix issues caused by previous less-experienced tree cutting services, and he helped me identify any other potential issues and proactively take care of them so I can avoid future danger to the trees or to my house. He was great with communication even when I couldn't meet him onsite, sending me images of the trees in question and talking me through his recommendations on the phone. He's also knowledgeable about the local bulk trash schedules and limitations, so we were able to plan for excess limbs to be set out at the right time for my bulk trash pickup, and he was conscious of the allowed amount I could leave for pickup. All around, he and his team did a great job for a fair price. I would suggest them to others, and I hope to use them again for any future needs. read more

This guy is a tree whisperer! He so knowledgeable about how trees grow and how if a limb breaks how the other branch will catch the fall. Very very gracious with his pricing. Will forever calm on him for tree services. read more

Highly recommended for tree service! I had two properties in need of having the trees trimmed. Jeff came out right away to view the trees and give quotes. He gave honest assessments about the trees and gave a very fair quote for what turned out to be a lot of labor. He was able to get the work scheduled quickly and the crew was able to do each property in a day. They cleaned up the yards and stacked all the trimmed branches and logs neatly on the curb. Jeff made sure to follow up to make sure I was happy with the work and informed me about a wood borer problem in one of my trees. He cares about doing good quality work and takes his reputation seriously. My trees have never looked better and I'm so happy we went with Castro's tree service! read more

Removed a decaying tree before it fell, and trimmed some big branches off another tree. Prices were very reasonable and the crew was professional and quick. They were respectful of me and our property and cleaned up after the job! We're hiring them again to remove a second tree. No hesitation to call Castro's to clean up my trees. Foreman and crew all very polite and easy to communicate with. Good guys! They are busy so call early if you don't have an emergency. They didn't haul the brush away, but scheduled trimming so it worked with our bulky trash week and kept it under the requirement and off the sidewalk. 100% recommend for tree trimming and removal. read more

Found Castro's on Yelp and contacted them to trim some trees in our yard. We just moved to home and yard was needing some TLC. Jeff and I traded texts with pictures of what needed to be done. Great communication and a great price for the services requested. Will definitely use them again! Thank you Jeff and team! read more

Texted me, I texted him photos of the trees. He came out quickly to look at the areas my pictures didn't depict well and gave me a decent quote. I hired them to do the work and they did a great job. We had planned on having our trees trimmed a couple of months later, but after a branch broke we realized it was time. Our dilemma: short notice and a crunch to get it done before family came to town. Jeff fit us in on short notice. The guys trimmed 9 trees in about 6 hours. They look great and everything was cleaned up "like they weren't even there." The price was right, the service was great and our trees look fantastic. No complaints. This isn't exactly something that you can compare your experience to that often, like restaurants, but I felt Jeff was honest and fair overall, and I had a good price, and the work was done in a quick and professional manner. I am a first time homeowner, so this time was a crapshoot in trying to find someone to do the work. I had a tree removal done for two really large old maples, both of which were sickly. After calling Jeff and texting him some pictures, he came by a couple hours later to confirm the ballpark figure he quoted. His guys were on time the next week, and were done within a couple hours. the removed trees were piled nicely waiting for bulk pickup removal. Apparently he works with another gentleman that owns the grinders for the stumps, and there was some issue on his end with the big grinder not being at 100%, but somehow they made it work and they got a grinder out to my house a couple hours after Jeff's crew wrapped up the cut-down and the cleanup. During this process Jeff was very communicative - I had two calls and several texts to make sure he was aware of what was going on, and I was happy. I probably won't need more trees removed in a while, but I would recommend you give him a shot. read more

Castro's Tree Service is a well run business and professional operation. After searching through three referral sites, requesting and filtering six quotes, then doing extra research for quality and expertise, Castro's was the best choice and they didn't disappoint. We had a big storm and our tree fell over and blanketed our yard and our neighbor's yard. A huge tree. HUGE. I am in NY right now so I'm a frantic homeowner thousands of miles away. What a week. I couldn't even get someone out for an estimate....until I called Jeff Castro. He called within about a half hour of my call and dealt with me freaking out in NY while a friend stayed at my house for a severe game of telephone where I would say something and then ask my friend and then we'd text and facebook message and then I'd text Jeff Castro an answer. He was always friendly and patient and got a team out within a couple days. And the team was fast! I'm exhausted just looking at the photos that have been emailed to me. I would recommend him a million times over. read more

Fantastic business! We called Jeff at Castro's and left a message because of a tree that had a rotting branch. We left our detailed message that included our address and contact information. We are overseas and this was our rental property. Jeff contacted us back and even though his schedule was extremely tight and booked, he still went and viewed the property. He contacted us back and informed us of the type of tree that it was and the condition of it along with a couple of others that needed to be taken down. He was able to squeeze us into his schedule and got it done before our bulk trash pick up the following day. Great small business owner and we will be doing repeat business with him. Professional team and worth contacting him! Thanks again Jeff! read more

We're extremely satisfied with the service of Jeff and his crew. I got an estimate from Jeff back in late January. It took awhile to get approval from our HOA to cut down three trees, but when I finally got back to him this past week (late March, two months later), he remembered everything he said he would do at the exact price he quoted. I initially wanted to just trim a bunch of trees in our back yard and side yard. I got several quotes from companies recommended on Yelp and by our neighborhood. While the others came out to do estimates, Jeff was the only one who sought me out to talk to me face to face, which SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY. He asked what I wanted, gave me his honest opinion about whether or not it was pointless to do a bunch of pruning for the reasons I wanted. He then spotted that one of the trees that I wanted pruned was actually kinda rotted and advised me to cut it down (which it was indeed rotting inside when they cut it). Then he advised I cut down a couple other smaller trees that were obstructing the view to my house. The other two or three companies gave me way higher estimates--don't get me wrong--they gave me what I asked for, but I would have wasted my money on the wrong things. Now we've gotten rid of a hazardous rotten tree and the view to our home is much more pleasing! His crew just cut down the trees this morning and very neatly stacked it for pickup. They cleaned up the mess and tidied up the sidewalk. I'm very impressed. Jeff called and checked in several times and even reminded me that he was going to removed a small tree for me for free. This is an excellent, honest, and professional crew. I highly recommend him. And I saw the reviews about him being cranky or something... he wasn't warm and fuzzy but he was definitely not cranky. Don't change, Jeff. You have a great company that does great work. You don't have to convince anyone by sugar coating things. read more

Professional. Friendly. Qualified. Efficient. Recommended. We asked to have one tree removed and two trimmed. The tree that needed removal was located in between my house and my neighbors' house. Both of us were a little afraid that the tree's position might cause problems, but Jeff Castro's pro tree trimmers made quick and efficient work of a fairly large tree. My wife, the ultimate arbiter of what looks good for our yard, was quite pleased with the two trees we had trimmed in the back yard. This was the first time for us to have hired a tree trimmer, and we were both happy with the results. Plus, Jeff worked with us to find an ideal date for the removal and trimming before the holidays began. read more
