Had a lot of work to do and every quote seemed to want to charge $1,000, but the amount of work varied. Jeff called and asked me to meet him out there, which none of the others did. He pointed a lot of different things out and walked me though reasons and options. Ultimately it was very helpful and I'm glad he did it. He said they had already looked up the heavy garbage pick up week and would come back closer to that week and do all the work, work that was more than any of the other quotes. Contacted Mr. Castro to get an estimate for clearing 90 feet of fence line for a new fence to be installed. Neglected over the years, many trees (8-9) had grown up along the fence line and needed to be taken down. They did a great job cutting several large branches and cleaning up several other trees on our acre property. Many of them were hanging over or scraping the two story roof. We needed major tree and bush trimming. Jeff came out within a day of our request to provide a quote which was lower than the other 5 star competitors' quotes. His team of 7 led by Evaristo arrived exactly on time and confirmed the job's scope. In addition to trimming the trees, the team removed a large tree that was splitting. The stump grinding was done by a specialist Jeff uses while other work was in progress. Evaristo provided helpful recommendations for placement of the tree mulch from grinding which his staff carried out. All work was done exactly as requested and the cleanup left the yard spotless. Just had Castro's Tree Service come out to remove a sick old tree from my back yard. They did a great job. In just a couple hours they cut down and hauled off a 40 plus year old red oak. They also ground the stump and moved the fresh mulch to my flower beds. T. They even took a leaf blower on the roof and cleaned from the top of my house down to the street. Jeff Castro quickly responded to my call and I texted him pics of my trees. He came by in a couple of days and quoted a reasonable price to trim all three of my large red oaks. We coordinated a time to coincide with the city brush pick-up and his crew came when they were supposed to. These guys really know what they are doing and did an outstanding job of significantly cleaning up three big trees, cleaning up the yard, and providing some good firewood. It was there for 15 years until I had to start paying a lot of money to repair damage that the roots caused. A neighbor down the street from me was having their tree removed, so I asked for a business card. I reached out to Jeff Castro that afternoon, and he immediately responded to set up an appointment for a quote. Within 48 hours, his crew was at my home and removed the tree efficiently, safely and thoroughly. They carefully ground down the stump, deep enough to where I could plant sod in its place, and then they took the mulch and spread it around in my flower bed. He listened to our concerns and proposed a short range and long range process for taking care of the trees at a very reasonable price. Castro's Tree Service removed a large 60 year old walnut tree from our yard that had grown too close to the house. It was in a tricky spot that was less than 8ft from the roofline and had some power lines close to the tree. Castro's team was quick and phenomenally contentious with the surrounding structures. They cleaned gobs of mistletoe from a big problem cedar elm. Removed a large pine and suggested that I not have the stump ground to save me money.
