The is not truthful at all and does not pay his help what he says and and faulty tree work

I called this company on a Tuesday and left a message to return my call regarding tree service I needed. Four days go by and then late on Saturday night I get a call from them and it goes into into my voice mail. A man named Harold leaves a long rambling message that goes on for one minute and 8 seconds and he sounds intoxicated. He is slurring his words and saying weird things like "he was wondering if I was ok" and that "they return calls in the order they receive them" and other strange remarks. At the same time I started getting text messages of photos of his tree service company logo and other pictures of guys cutting trees down, etc. I received a total of five text photos which really used up my cell data. So I call this guy to tell him that I have already hired someone to cut my trees and not to call me again. When he answers he sounds intoxicated again. I told him the that he waited four days to return my call, was sending unsolicited large file photo text messages, and that he left me a long rambling voice mail. He is slurring his words so I gave him a piece of my mind and not to ever call me again. Would advise anyone from using this unprofessional company that waits four days to return a call then calls late Saturday night sounding intoxicated. read more

Barbara at Affordable Tree Care customer service needs some fine tuning. 1) called left messages numerous times 2) finally I reached her during one call, at which time we set up for spray and tree trim 3) When I went to confirm she couldn't find our appointment, once she did, the spray had been delayed not once but twice 4) crew came, fed them lunch, water etc. great crew 5) paid with tip 6) spray finally happened 7) miscommunication between my husband and myself in that we thought the payment had been made in full 8)Barbara was very communicative once it was determined that we owed for the spray. 9) if you want good crew to take care of your trees, hmmm, not bad 10) if you can stand all the calls you have to make to schedule, then I do not recommend read more

Great service. I have three large trees and some bushes. It seeemed like a huge job, but they showed up and had it done in three hours. The guys cutting the trees, from the supervisor down to the guys with the saws, were all professional and polite. We have a neighbor with Alzheimers who kept coming over and watching, and they were kind to her. The trees and bushes look great, and I will be calling them again! read more

I called several tree companies because I needed a major trimming of the trees on the front as well as backyard, that includes 2 oak trees, 1 bald cypress, 1 small red oak, 1 fig tree, 1 pear tree, several crepe myrtles and youpons, shrubs, rose bush, etc. And they were all busy, and Harold committed to coming (With call reminder before the day and on the day), then gave me the quote and told me he will fit me in whenever he can, with a final due date(3 weeks out) in mind. His quote is the most detailed ones I've seen, spent a lot of time in Texas hot sun and going through every tree, asking what you want to be done, what he can do, asking the heights you want, and immediately put it into the pad and calculate the pricing, adjusting for bigger volume discount. Because the quote is so details, there's no confusion as to what to be done when the crew was here to work. Price is reasonable, not on the low end, and not on the high end for this scope of work. I did call him to remind him about the due date may come up in 1.5 weeks, and he said he just finished a job and will swing by with the crew and the equipment to do the work. They worked non-stop in the Texas heat from12:30 pm till 6 pm. Cleaned up the yards the flowerbeds and the roof with any debris the best they can, cleaned up the pool as well if I asked them. And Harold did a walk-through with me and my husband with every tree and see if there's anything that needs to be done more, and he did it right there. Friendly, thorough, careful, respectful, really can't ask for more. We've hired other professional tree care people before, but really Harold and his crew's work is so outstanding that left us really really happy. Thus my first review on Yelp. read more

The name is correct! My husband and I are renovating a property that needs a lot of love. One of our issues was having several overgrown trees, a pile of dead branches in the yard. and fencing that was completely covered with vines. The crew was at the property quickly, did an excellent job, and cost us at least half of what I was expecting to pay. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

Harold takes a lot of care to explain every detail in the tree growth and care process. His team are very professional and effective as well. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my trees! We have three trees, two of which are at least 100 years old, and now they will be super happy and healthy for another 100 thanks to this teams work! read more

Harold Crawford Jr. was nice when he came over to give me a quote on Saturday. We found his company on Angie's List. He gave us an estimate for trimming three trees. He quoted Bible verses, and made us feel comfortable. He gave me an estimate. As soon as I told him I was going to get other estimates, he came back and dropped the price $400. We verbally agreed to the price. He said he would email me an estimate, and he said he would be back on Wednesday to do the work. He never emailed me an estimate. I called multiple times to get the estimate. He never returned my call. I took off Wednesday so I could be here while he did the job. He never showed up on Wednesday like he committed. He never called to reschedule. We have not heard anything. I cannot in good conscience recommend Affordable Tree Care. read more

Our 30 year old large oak tree hasn't looked better in years! Harold, the owner, came out the day after I called him to give us an estimate, and his team was able to get to us within a week. We wanted a thorough trimming to allow more sunlight to reach our grass and Harold really listened to our concerns, he even gave me some advice on how to help my lawn! I did think it was a little expensive for just the one tree, but Harold worked with us on the cost to a place we were all comfortable. Excited to support a family run business. I needed 2 big oak trees trimmed that had not had any work on them for over 2 years. I found affordable searching yelp. Great reviews so I called on a Sunday and left a voicemail. Harold the owner called me back within the hour. He came out that day for an estimate. His price was a little higher then the estimate I had gotten previously from the guys that work on my neighbors trees. But he was offering more work then the lower priced guys. When he emailed me the written estimate he dropped his price to below the other guys. I was happy to go with him. He showed up and got the work done within the week and I was really impressed with the fact that my yard looked better then when they showed up. After they neatly stacked all the tree branches near the road they then cleaned up my yard of all leaves. If you need work done on trees I highly recommend Harold and his team! read more

Harold and his crew are artists. They don't butcher my trees. They have an eye for beauty. When they prune, they make sure the tree canopy is level all around the trunk like an umbrella. They create balanced filtered sunlight throughout the canopy and direct new growth upwards. It is always a pleasure to work with them. read more

I would highly recommend Affordable Tree Care. Their service was excellent and the customer care was outstanding. They trimmed my 50 year old ash tree that had a tremendous amount dead in it. I was afraid it would have to be removed but, they were able to save it and make it look wonderful. Their pricing is extremely reasonable. Great Experienced crew that knows what to do and in a hurry. Harold and his team worked a few houses in my neighborhood and I decided to hire his team on the spot. Offered a fair rate and did a wonderful job clearing out old limbs and pulling the branches away from my roof. We had Affordable Tree Care trim back our oak trees and it was a huge job as they are very old, large trees. The owner, Harold came out promptly and gave us an estimate (we got quotes from other tree trimmers) and theirs was the most reasonable. They came out when promised and did an awesome job. Harold was very professional and wonderful to deal with. His tree-trimming crew was awesome, as well. They cleaned up when they were finished, not only our yard but the yards on both sides of us, plus cleaned out our roof gutters. I highly recommend Affordable Tree Care. We just moved to Dallas and our property has about a dozen trees of varying types. Most of the trees looked like they haven't been taken care of in a long time, and I also had a huge stump that needed removal so I knew it was going to cost a lot. When Harold showed up for the estimate, he got right to work educating me on everything trees. He broke down his costs for each and it ended up being way more affordable than I initially thought. They have just completed two days at my home in Plano trimming every tree, the majority by hand, at my request. These four men aim to provide the finest of customer service and they exceeded my expectations. While I have had my trees cared for every year in the past I was never fully pleased which is why I reached out to Harold and his team in 2017. I was asked to review each tree at the beginning, during the process and at the conclusion to see if I was completely satisfied. My garden is by far the loveliest in the neighborhood right now.
