Absolute worse experience ever; first time there and will definitely be my last time there. I was never informed about a return policy on a part only after it was purchased on a paper. I never picked up the part because it had turned out it was a wrong part but I had bought the part for $428 the day before. They were only able to give me $350 back a 78 dollar difference from one day to the next I basically gave them free money for a part I never even touched. Ridiculous. Let alone they only do it by check that takes maybe two weeks ' if they go through it fast' from what I was told. read more

This is a review of their Parts department. I called them 3 times today and was hung up on each time without ever speaking to a parts employee. On the first call, I was transfered to the parts dept and immediately hung up on. On the second call, I was transferred and waited 2 mins and 25 secs before being hung up on again. On the third call, after I was transferred, I was quickly greeted with "parts, please hold" and immediately placed on hold without me even saying a word. I waited nearly 10 mins and was hung up on again. I gave up calling and went to Buena Park Honda for parts. read more

George, George, George of Honda. Cool as he can be. I needed a oil change and as we know I don't trust most people with my car. I also did not want to make the drive to the South Bay for service. However my faith in dealerships was restored the moment I pulled up. Sandy checked me in and sent me to George. George was super friendly and never pushed anything on me. He recommended rear brakes in the next coming months. My car was ready in an hour and the price was better than expected for synthetic oil. Service Center was comfortable. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Next time I'm bringing my dog. They offer cold water, make it yourself coffee and snack machines They also store racing cars here. Which I thought was super cool Conveniently located off Studabaker and the 5. They are across from the Dealership with its own lot. Remember look for Sandy and ask for George. read more

Calling for appointments sucks no one answers, service advisor Carlos Villarreal responded to me rudely ( "I don't want to argue with you") was his response when I declined a service. A tip for future customers of this dealership, stick to what you're there for...don't fall for the" well your battery is low, we suggest you replace it " just stick to your main concern, remember that nice guy or gal that approaches when you get to the dealership is not the same person afraid you decline a service...btw I'm done with dealerships, I'll be looking on Yelp for any future repairs on my Honda...the family owned one's are the best read more

What an amazing team they have here at this dealership. Today my vehicle overheated and I had no choice but to pull into the Honda dealership (I have a Ford...I know). I had my two Cane Corso's in the car and had no idea what was wrong with my vehicle. I was 30 minutes from home on a hot day not knowing what to do, but salesmen Diego and Julian came to my rescue. Julian went above and beyond by rushing to Autozone to get me some coolant while Diego hung back and made sure my pups and I had water and anything we needed. They invited us inside so that my pups could get out of the heat and we had our own area in the lobby to hang out in while the engine cooled down. Julian guided me on pouring the coolant and got me back on the road. Mind you, I am not a customer. Just a girl whose car ran out of coolant lol. But let me tell you, when it's time for a new car- if I'm considering a Honda, this is the dealership I'm coming to hands down. Thank you Julian and Diego for being great young men. read more

My family has been purchasing vehicles from Honda World Downey for several years now and we always have a great experience. Their service department and sales people have made it easy for us to continue coming back here when we need a new car or when trading in a lease. We have dealt with several different sales reps over the years but this last time Saul helped us out and he was knowledgeable and answered all our questions about these new models Honda as introduced. Thanks again for making what could be a stressful event a lot easier. read more

I have been in the market for a civic Type R since last year. I literally have called at least 30 Honda dealers nationwide. After lots of disappointments, I finally came across this dealer. After speaking with the sales person Walter Godoy, I immediately stopped my search. Walter was super easy to deal with and was very honest, he didn't force any dealer add ons on me. Most dealers I talked to wanted me to come in person to talk about numbers. Most likely a bait and switch situation. With Walter, we were able to talk about the numbers, I didn't experience any sales tactics and made a deal over the phone. All he cared about was to make sure my buying experience was great. Overall, Walter made this whole buying process a breeze and stress free. I've never dealt with a sales person like him before. This dealership is highly recommended and look for Walter Godoy! read more

Honda World in Downey has exceeded my expectations in providing the most abhorrent and worst car maintenance experiences I have ever had. I have been driving a white 2020 Honda Accord since October 2020. It currently has under 2900 as of August 2021, 10 months. The car had multiple defects upon receipt, and figured this was normal since the 2018 Honda Civic I drove also came with defects. I brought the car in for my first maintenance and was directed to Gihan, a Service Advisor. Once providing the key fob to the assisting service rep, I was brought inside and given a quote for about $75+ for the oil change. I let Gihan know about the deal that was agreed upon last year by the Honda dealership I received the car is that the first maintenance is free and every other maintenance afterwards is free. He pulled up a Vin Inquiry Acknowledgment from the Honda database and told me it is not covered under the warranty. After back and forth believing him to be right, I reluctantly agreed to proceed, signed the papers, and left. I called from between 12:30 - 4 PM and was unable to contact any representatives or managers except the receptionist, and Sales Manager. After repeated requests with their receptionist to help me connect with a service rep over the phone, I did not find their customer service at all responsive. I was only being transferred but no recipient answered the phone to assist. My name and contact number was passed to the service manager from the sales manager but I did not receive a call back. About 5:30 PM, I receive a text notifying me the car is done with the maintenance. Here is where this became one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced. I arrive at the dealership intending to pick up the car. I came to pick up and pay for the service done to the car. My service advisor, Gihan, left for the day and one of the other service advisors, Willie Pittman, assisted with this. After back and forth regarding the warranty, he then educates me about his experience working with Honda for 25 years, as well as different warranty programs. He later not only insults me in front of other customers, but insults my integrity in front of my family saying the reason the maintenance light came on is because I am a "Racer" and continued to push this dialogue. Attached are images of the current tread, and side profile of the car and wheels. If these tires look like 10 months of "racing", I do not know what to tell you. As a Honda customer, I am immensely disappointed with the service I had received. This is the most embarrassing and disappointing experiences I have ever had. I am never going to recommend a Honda to anyone ever again. If you are purchasing or leasing a new vehicle, I would not recommend Honda World. I suggest reading all the reviews to know what you are getting into. One star given because zero is not an option. Thank you. read more

I first went to the Cerritos Auto Square where the sales associate was very nice (Mihai) however other associates were very rude, managers were rude, lied to us about what was available and refused to take our schools first check. SO WE LEFT! Then we came to LA honda in Downey and met with Kevin who was very eager to help, very accommodating and helped me find the EXACT car that I wanted all along. Everyone was gracious, helpful and patient with us. Teddy was very kind, helpful and gave us a great deal! The Finance manager Mel was not pressuring at all, and the Sales Director Yara was very gracious and offered to help us with the all terrain floor mats. EVERYONE told us if we need anything to call them. Overall this was a very positive, stress free, and relaxing experience. Their inventory is MUCH better than Cerritos. Every car I kept trying to buy at Cerritos would get sold as I was looking at it. The team at LA honda has a cohesive energy and are professional to their customers as well as eachother. At Cerritos one of the associates tried to poach us from Mihai saying he was "asleep" and was very aggressive towards my wife and I which we did not appreciate at all. Ultimately we were happy things didn't work out at Cerritos, LA honda center is so much better!! I got the EXACT car I wanted with cloth seats, her name is Luisa! read more

WOMEN STAY AWAY. If i could do 0 stars i would. Honestly if you're a woman buying a car by yourself don't go here. The way these "boys" speak to women is DISTURBING. they will treat you like you don't know anything and belittle you any chance they get. Can't handle a girl who knows what she wants. They suck here. They make promises over the phone and when you come in it's all lies. i went in to see a specific car. they told me they had soooo many in stock, i even made sure to ask the night before and day of. they guaranteed the car was there. when i get there all of a sudden they only have one car and it's sold! so i asked when? they said idk sometime this week. that means they never had the car and lied to me over the phone. then ALL OF A SUDDEN the car is magically there. i had an appointment at 1 pm with "Samantha" who said we'd get a free gift card of $50 for gas even if a car wasn't purchased. she was nowhere to be found and I had to wait for someone random to help me. I had spoken on the phone with Natalia and explained I had an offer from my bank and another dealership offered me $200 less she said she couldn't send me verification that they could match the price over the phone because she needed her manager there BUT stated "I don't see why he wouldn't give you that price just come on in and he'll do it!" So i made the mistake of believing her and showed up. I show my offer to the manager, Juan. some dude with glasses. He tried making me feel stupid by saying the price i brought him didn't include sales tax...when it stated on the paper that it did. he needs to thoroughly read information before coming at someone trying to make them wrong. I explained the price I had was my out the door price and He laughed at me like i was stupid and said "this price doesn't even include sales tax" i pointed to exactly where it stated that it did and he stayed quiet. I understand if he didn't see it BUT the way he tried to deliver his statement was unprofessional. Why the need to laugh at me like i was stupid thinking the price was not my OTD price? He was very rude when speaking to my mom and i. They also made us wait around for no reason. I've been going to plenty of dealerships in search of a car and not a single one has treated me as poorly as here. read more

The customer service at the Honda world here is great. Service right now sucked. When I bought my pilot they said I'd have 2 complimentary oil changes. On my second today 11/02 they said I couldn't. They said 2 hours.. at 2 hour mark I seen they were done with my car and parked it. Yet waited another hour to get my car. Paid 74/hour for labor.. to have the oil light still mark 20 percent meaning the tech guy didn't reset it. They put down they washed my car and they didn't. They didn't provide the summary they usually provide to see what I need fixed. Or what is good. Going to be getting pilot serviced at Firestone complete auto for now. read more
