I'm glad to add my voice to the chorus singing praises for Precision Air. We'd originally hired them to put air conditioning in my father's north county home as he was aging and were really impressed, from sales through installation. Michael guided us through decisions and was really patient with all my questions. I never got the sense that we were being upsold and we were really pleased with the end result. When it came time for us to replace our Clairemont furnace, they were the first company we called. Sure, we did research and got a few bids, but Precision was easily the choice. The furnace probably wasn't the original (1958) unit, but the ducting almost certainly was. That gas furnace had never worked well, and we realized that it was really inefficient. Since we also wanted to add cooling, we went with a heat-pump inverter and couldn't be happier. The modern technology has the same unit doing both heating and cooling. There's no gas involved, so it's also a sound environmental choice. We had a team of three onsite for almost five days: Jose, Marco and Christian. Honestly, we couldn't have been happier - they were so respectful of our home and our time. They kept the place neat and clean, even through removing the old furnace and cutting drywall for new duct registers. The guys were so personable that, by the end of the week, we felt like we just had some friends doing the work. Jose was everything a team lead should be, and I really enjoyed watching him mentoring the team. Ira in customer service picked up the communication after we were contracted, and guided us through what to expect from permits and inspections. There was a brief bit of follow-up after the installation and she streamlined the whole thing with a smile. Honestly, Precision has set the bar for us in terms of how vendors should work. I had three mini-split units deep-cleaned by Jorge, who was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he showed me photos of the mold, as well as the dirtiness, inside the units. Jose did an excellent job of explaining the pricing on preventative maintenance for each of my main cooling unit and for mini splits that are run by the unit. Then each unit was inspected and cleaned and then individually pressure/coolness tested to make sure each individual unit was in good working order. The office kept me updated on his ETA when I requested a little more definite window than the standard two-hour. They were very accommodating to make sure that I was updated when they determined that Jose his prior appointment was going to take longer than initially anticipated. And Jose went above and beyond in servicing and explaining the status of each of my units. read more

Had an appointment scheduled. The front desk person took down my number with a 658 area code (Jamaica - yes the island). Same with the email. The front desk person could not care less about the mistake. Now you lost thousands due to lack of attention to detail. In a world where economy is down and layoffs are rampant, one would think attention to detail is a must for job security. Mike the sales consultant came out and gave us a very clear and competitive bid to replace our 47 year old gas furnace. We were put on the schedule for the next Monday. TL/DR - I did the research for you. Your search can begin and end here. I've got a smaller two story 700 sq ft house and after nearly melting last summer decided it was to install central air. I received 8 quotes from yelp contractors and Costco affiliate (do NOT go through Costco unless you want to pay 200% above market rate). Incidentally, I scheduled appointments with 12 companies. Four just failed to show and didn't even bother calling. Eric showed up 10 minutes ahead of schedule and was decidedly different from the typical contractor sales guy. Not slimy, didn't try to oversell, just provided the facts and presented in such a fashion that I was nearly certain I was going to use Precision Air even if they were not the lowest price. An honest guy. Sure enough, Precision came in $300 lower than the next lowest bid for comparable hardware and guarantee. On the day of install Daniel arrived on time. Daniel couldn't have been a nicer individual and kept his work areas extremely tidy during install. He was even nice enough to politely respond to my many many questions regarding the install process (I'm curious about such things). Upon completion Daniel remained onsite for at least 45 minutes with a/c running to make sure all performed to spec. He left all work areas cleaner than he found them. I've now had the a/c for around a month and all is operating perfectly. The outdoor unit is extremely quiet and the house (all three rooms...) cools quickly and evenly. All interactions with Precision were extremely professional and honest. Do yourself a favor and don't waste time waiting for other companies to inevitably fail to show and/or charge you thousands more than necessary. Mark did an outstanding job on my annual maintenance. This company installed my new system three years ago. I have one maintenance about two years ago. COVID hit. Two years roll by and I called and got Mark. He was polite, friendly and perfectly on time (like I could set an alarm to his arrival). Turns out a part of my AC was damaged. He said they could have had me book another appointment and they could have charged me more. Instead he ran out (over an hour w rush hr traffic) for the part and installed it so I wouldn't have to book a second appointment. And he didn't charge me for the part! Got my vents and ducts cleaned. Sam and Marco were extremely accommodating to my schedule (daughter's nap time ), were very friendly, and did a very thorough job. Sam walked me through each step and made some recommendations along the way (not sales pitch). Felt extremely comfortable with both of Marco and Sam and the job they did. The office staff are great as well and Kat (sp?) was wonderful in scheduling and working with me. I probably called her 10 times in one morning to keep changing the scheduled time/asking random question and she was extremely helpful and kind each and every time. My wife and I were searching for AC for our new home. We suffered last year during the heatwave, thinking we didn't need AC (but we really did). I met with Eric first and he walked me through everything, answered all my questions, and left me with a handout to go over with my wife. He gave us different options to choose from. They were the first company to visit our home and after our visit, we canceled the other appointments we had list. Another company quoted us 2 different prices without even coming to our home. We also got a discount because of the season that we installed our new unit. Eric sent us a quote after meeting with me , and we were able to confirm what we wanted. Fast forward to yesterday, and the guys who came Daniel, Sergio (and one other guy, his name is escaping me at the moment) came promptly. They were able to install our new AC unit in our back yard, install new vents, install a breaker in our box, and finish all the electrical work. My rooms are cool and the units are powerful enough to cool the rest of the house. And super quiet and energy efficient. I'm sleeping so much better. I had new AC Units installed last November and one heater - the sales guy was great offered me lots of options, advice and saved me money where he could - the installation went pretty smoothly, the whole crew was very pleasant, polite and professional - they quickly took care of any issues. Fast forward I then had an issue this week with one of the Units, I called the office and they had someone come out that day despite being super busy (summer!!) - Mark L. - a super nice guy btw - was the technician and he diagnosed and fixed the issue, staying here as long as it took, well after normal hours. I previously left a positive review since they did a fantastic job with the AC install back in 2019. As an update, I had Precision Air come to do an annual check on my AC unit. It was Nicholas Colantuono's 2nd day at Precision Air, and he was professional and knowledgeable. It was a home run! Inexplicably, someone had destroyed my AC vent. Nicholas and the Precision Air owner fixed it free of charge even though it wasn't their fault. The broken vent meant I could have been inhaling noxious gases for months. Fortunately, I have a nitrogen monoxide detector that seemed to show that the air was ok. But, it meant that the vent had to be fixed because of regulatory reasons. The annual check took longer because of this massive repair. I'm so thankful that I had contacted them! read more

The sales rep. gave me a "WOW" quote way lower than any other company for a new Trane HVAC system, which has the latest Consumer Reports highest customer approval rating. The four installers led by James arrived right on time at 8:00 A.M. and finished removal of my 33-yr. old system and replaced it with the new Trane units all in one day. Five stars for Precision Air. Here's why: I needed a new evaporator coil (an expensive air condition replacement in the attic). I got 4 bids. Precision Air's bid was way way way less expensive than the other companies. Precision installed the exact same make a model of evaporator coil as the other guys were going to put in and I saved a TON of money. The other guys were heavy TV advertisers and seriously more expensive (because they have to charge more to pay off those TV ads). Precision booked the install quickly. The install itself went as smooth as anyone could hope for. The two installers were Hakeem and Michael. These two guys were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and just the two nicest guys ever. Really friendly and personable. They got this complicated job done expertly and quickly and with a smile. I highly recommend Precision Air to anyone requiring air conditioning/heating repairs. We bought a new house at the end of 2022, which did not have A/C, decided to wait and see if it would be required. Summer was comfortable - until Labor Day weekend brought excessive heat, and a house full of family and friends. At that point, we decided to act. After contacting 4 or 5 different companies, Precision Air was 1 of only 2 that ever responded; both quoted the same AC Pro dual heat pump system as an addition to our existing, less than 1 year old furnace, at very competitive prices, but Michael earned our business. System was installed this week, working with our schedule. James, Javier and Eddie did a great job, were professional at all times, paying attention to all details. We noticed the next day that the blower was making excessive noise, called Precision Air to share our concern. They immediately scheduled a technician to come out the next day, who was able to adjust the fan speed to where it is now barely noticeable. Don't bother calling anyone else, these guys are honest, very quick and very reasonably priced. I called with an issue and while I made an appointment for the next day, there was a cancelation the same day and they sent someone to fix my issue with the furnace. It was done very quickly and there was no surprises or anything like that and I was very happy with their service. read more
