Our experience with Precision Air for a new furnace was all positive from our first interaction with Michael, who discussed our options to the actual install with Jose and crew. Whole thing took about 4 hours for him to clean 18 registers and sanitize the intake vent (not 100% that's what it's called) He explained the process well, answered all our questions and told us what he found when he was done. i had precision air replace my central heat a/c unit. i liked their price and i liked the salesman who i believed was giving me the best info. install was quick, despite their equipment and guys with the equipment showing up well after the first installer got to me. (vehicle problems) now, after summer, i can give you my numbers. last july, my sdge bill was $450 and my august sdge bill was $500. i was in shock. i had never had a utility bill over $180. after install, my july bill was $189 and my aug. bill was $218. no solar equipment, just a more modern, more efficient a/c unit. i am shocked that i made that much difference in my sdge bill, and my house cools down much quicker than before. read more

We have been wanting an air-conditioner for some time and have gone back and forth between individual room split units and whole house central. We finally decided, only to find ourselves slap bang in the middle of Covid. From the beginning Precision Air Inc. showed professionalism and attention to safety protocols. I contacted Amanda at the office expressing my concerns for an in house/person estimate. She connected me with Michael who asked me tons of questions, checked out my house on google earth and gave me a ballpark figure based on my information. That way we limited people coming into the house unnecessarily. Companies that did not offer that option, we did not consider. To finalize the estimate Michael arrived masked, shoe coverings and did a walk through, all other discussions were held outside. He gave options on high end, low end, and right down the middle. He answered every question clearly and patiently. Michael assured us his installation team would be extremely competent, very safety conscious and knowledgeable. He did not lie. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and conscientiousness of Jose the team leader, who along with Bill, Anthony, James and Michael, worked hard and diligently, in the unbearably hot attic, in an old house. Jose is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. They worked exceptionally well together which you don't always see. We needed new returns and vents put in so cutting etc. was required. We also replaced and relocated our furnace, as well as all our ducting. This required them to remove and bring in extremely large and cumbersome machinery. All the while they took care to protect our home and belongings. If they couldn't work around it, they asked me to remove it. They did not take chances. We are extremely fussy, and Jose worked with us to make sure every new return or vent that was put in, was done perfectly. The whole team wore their masks the entire time it was feasible, while they were in our home. They left it spotlessly clean, and they organized their equipment out of the way every afternoon. They finished on time Friday the 10th of July, 2020, as quoted, and then the heatwave struck! If you like spending thousands of dollars on an AC system only to have it not work whenever you need it, leak copious amounts of water into your house, cause a massive mold infestation, take multiple visits to fix the AC, and more than 5 weeks to repair the drywall, only for you to have to do most of the work yourself...go with these guys. That's the summary, here's the details: The system was installed September of last year, but we never really needed it until this summer. After the system had been running for a while, it randomly shut off. A couple days later it worked again, then shut off. At the same time I found substantial water damage in a hall closet directly under the pump in the attic. Putting 2 & 2 together, I knew it was condensation leaking down and not draining. It took them nearly 2 weeks to come out to "fix" the AC. It worked again for another day or 2, only for it to stop working AGAIN over Labor Day weekend when it was in the 90's. I called their "emergency 24/7 help line" but got absolutely no help. The 24/7 emergency line is just an answering service with zero ability to get in contact with anyone at Precision Air, and even less knowledge of AC systems. Finally, on Tuesday (9-8) after 3 calls to that line over the weekend, I made a 4th call and got someone in the office, who offered to have someone out later in the week. Fortunately I had asked the 1st guy what the initial problem was, and was able to siphon water out of the emergency backup drip pan enough to get the water level to a point where the pump would work and the AC would turn on. Working in a 120* attic, sucking dirty water from a drip pan through a hose in order to get my AC to work, is not my idea of good service. Also, it turns out that when the drip pan is sloped in the opposite direction of the pump, water can leak out of the pan relatively easily...Shocking. In the meantime my closet had mold growing in it. An entire wall, the ceiling, and the panel above the door needed to be replaced. Due to their backlog, it took nearly 3 weeks to have someone come out to start the drywall repair. Apparently not knowing that drywall repairs take multiple days (despite the fact that EVERY DRYWALL REPAIR EVER IN THE HISTORY OF DRYWALL REPAIRS TAKES MULTIPLE DAYS), they booked their repair guy another 2 weeks out so he could texture the walls and paint. He came and did some sanding, and re-mudding, but was still going to need another day to wrap it all up. Finally, today (10-6), I got so sick of waiting on them, and taking things in and out of the closet and having stuff stacked up in my living room for my 2 year olds to get in to, that I painted it, reinstalled the trim, and caulked everything myself. That's a full 6 weeks from my initial call about the problem. Not once did they proactively call me back at any step in this process to establish a schedule, apologize for the delays, or see how things were going. Every single time, I had to contact them to get something they should have made a priority onto their schedule. Yes, there was no charge for them coming out, but their service is complete garbage. read more

I chose this company because they had great reviews.I had air conditioning installed, as did 2 other homeowners, at the time and on the same day. I had problems with the fans in my condominium, PA did not want to repair the problem of a rattling fan and no air flow in my master bedroom and bath. I live in a condominium development. I had a problem with the HOA, my problem, not Precision Air. PA did not want to repair my noisy fan or fix the problem withIn air circulation to the master bedroom or bathroom. Air had to go up an incline to get to the master bedroom and bath, they should have known better. In fact, they did not return my calls. Finally, Mike (salesman) came out to talk to me, but did not want to proceed, with the repairs, because of the problems I was having with the HOA. Basically what it turned out to be, I BOUGHT A MERCEDES AND GOT A GOLF CART! By the way, to fix the air flow to the master bedroom and bath was going to cost me an extra $3000. I paid $16,000. for rattling air conditioning and no cool air in my master bedroom and bathroom! I will be paying another company to get rid of the rattling fan and air circulation to the master bedroom and bath. Precision Air is anything but! read more

We needed to install a mini-split so I lined up three quotes. The first two companies sent salesmen who's quotes were nearly identical. The third was from Steve with Precision Air. He was obviously not a marketing guy and was someone who'd actually done the work. He spent some time finding the best installation plan and explaining their 12 year warranty. The warranty was more than twice as long as the competition and his price was one third less. Done deal. The install was done by Alberto who's probably the most competent, pleasant guy we've had doing work in a long time. And we've spent over 30 years remodeling houses. You can waste time with those guys in gloves that run those stupid commercials, or you can save time and get a superior product and install. read more
