My wife so appreciated Melissa's extremely friendly and accommodating manner she wanted me to leave fantastic feedback for Melissa. You are a very nice and thoughtful person to deal with, and that is not always the case these days.

I like splashing my cash on clothes, shoes (don't you?), fragrances, makeup, sneaks, my kitchen…read moreand big ticket home items. For small home decor accessories like small end tables, benches and accent pieces, I go to Home Sense, HomeGoods, etc. Hell- I even go to thrifts stores to find "that" unique piece. But there's a difference between ridiculous and affordable. The first of the two, is where Safavieh is at. On Central Ave in Hartsdale, Safavieh has plenty to choose from to decorate your living room, family room and bedroom and they've been doing so for a long time. I recently found a Safavieh brand, small 2x4 rug for my galley kitchen at on online store but tried my luck here and see if they have that style so I can whisk it away. Only available rugs are large Persian area ones with the exception of just 2 small rugs in colors I wasn't going for. I mentioned to the folks here I was in the market for a specific small size and a particular color rug. While the service was professional, I honestly felt that because I didn't drain my bank account with any of their items, tone and body language changed towards the end and were way off. But to their benefit, rugs are quality and these folks have a lot of daring pieces. Even the items that have cracks or marks on them, were outrageously priced.

It has become a go to whenever I feel like something needs to be more efficient, more streamlined, or just better thought out. What makes it stand out is the experience of actually being in the store. Walking through the aisles sparks ideas in a way that online shopping never does. You start seeing possibilities you didn't even know you needed. A drawer divider becomes a system, a storage bin becomes a workflow solution. It's not just shopping, it's problem solving in real time. I use a lot of what I find here to improve organization at my office, and it has had a real impact on how smoothly things run day to day. There's something very satisfying about creating systems that reduce friction, and this place is full of tools that help you do exactly that. They consistently carry unique, well designed solutions that you won't easily find elsewhere. It feels curated for people who actually care about organization, not just basic storage. If you're someone who enjoys optimizing your space, whether at home or in a business, this store is incredibly inspiring. I would honestly describe myself as an organization enthusiast, and this is one of the few places that truly delivers on that level.

In the space of the former Staples that used to be in this spot, HomeGoods has now opened…read more Just opening, the store is clean and has that newer feel. Everything is clean, relatively organized, and stocked well - a contrast to other long term opened HomeGoods locations. I've never been the biggest fan of TJX Companies' offerings (TJ Maxx, Home Sense, Marshalls, Sierra, HomeGoods), but some of the newer locations have been growing on me. Perhaps it's the newness or maybe they're getting less gaudy/lame junk and more decent offerings. There were more than one item I would've considered purchasing, but I needed to behave since the holidays are approaching and I'm on a budget. I didn't have any interactions with employees - as I usually don't at these stores as rarely anyone will ask if I need any help (not that I mind because I prefer it the other way around) and will go out of their way to evade the customers, so I can't comment that aspect. The cuing area is decent and I saw no lines and more than one cashier. As mentioned, it's in the spot that Staples used to be in - so those who know the area will know where I'm talking about. This new location shares the same space with some businesses, most notably a Pizza & Brew and TJI Fridays. Parking lot can be busy at times, but I've never had an issue finding a spot. There's decent parking on the side of HomeGoods as well. Overall a good entry in an area of good shopping choices and one more store to add to Central Park Avenue's large overall shopping options.

Something funky for your living room? Totally. But if you do eye something, get it quick, otherwise, it'll be gone. Such is the case with an unusual desktop, sterling silver card holder that I wanted to purchase for Mr. Man, but I bypassed it and when I went back, it was gone. Service is nice and Sharon will gladly assist in almost anything that might interest you that day. Prices are clearly, comparable to its own Scarsdale location---lavish.
