This Home Goods is my very favorite store. There are always so many good deals and their selection is usual extensive. We have moved to Fredericksburg, VA, and find that the store here has fewer items to choose from. I visit this store whenever I am in New York and I am sure to find something worthwhile to bring home. It is hard to find better value for your dollars! read more

Much like the other stores TJX owns (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc), if you've been to one HomeGoods, you've basically been to them all - the only difference is that some stock will differ. While not the biggest fan of the TJX stores, this HomeGoods is actually pretty good compared to some of it's sister stores in terms of neatness, stock, and general vibe. Some aisles are a pain to maneuver due to how slender they are and how some customers can be oblivious, but it's only in a small area of the store. I can't say (or type in this case) that I've ever had any interaction with employees here, so I can't comment on that aspect. I've never stood in line to purchase anything and if someone I was with purchased something, I didn't stand in line with them. The line does seem slow from the times I've been up here and saw. The stock is what it is. Some items are nice and decently priced, while others look like they came from a garage sale or the end of the line unsold bargain items and even Pier 1 (another store with some questionable items or junk) passed on them. You just have to look and also check for damage and perhaps you'll find something you like. Located in the Crossroads Shopping Center in the corner, there's ample enough parking. Overall a decent place and probably the best of the TJX Companies businesses' in my opinion. read more

While I find a lot of good bargains at the store and have shopped there for years, I can no longer tolerate those horrible price stickers that are near impossible to take off. I've broken nails, ruined manicures and have wasted precious time scrubbing off the sticker. Why? Why? Why does HoneGoods insist on doing this and frustrating customers? It is beyond annoying. So many stores price tag their merchandise but don't make it a chore to remove them. HomeGoods - get with the program and change the way you price tag. There are SO many other stores to buy similar items. Discount pricing should NOT mean discounting your customer's needs. read more

I've been a TJ Maxx & Marshall's groupie for a very long time. When Home Goods made their to White Plains, I became a devotee, ever since. For one, I love their unique and funky home accessories, that I simply can't find anywhere else. And two, I could trek down to my favorite local, home accessories shop on the Upper East Side, but compared to what I'd pay in Gracious Home, Home Goods has the same finesse, for a fraction of the cost. Home Goods is a no-brainer, an entity all on its own and it's exactly what is called- 'Home' Goods. With a broader selection of items that are exclusive and interesting, for beautifying your home; adding clean, modern lines or a rustic vibe. Wood furniture is well finished and not made out of plywood stuff. In fact, I purchased an oak credenza years ago, that still stands in mint condition. I've found interesting and worldly pieces in rustic wood, glass and antique metal, that I absolutely love adding to my living room, kitchen and everywhere else in my home. I like to think of Home Goods as a treasure full of more treasures. And yes, Home Goods may not be that stand-alone, corner shop that everybody so desires, but it's a wonderful go-to source for funked-out-always-on-trend-earthy-vintage-look destination. read more

What does it mean when I enjoy shopping for furnishes for my apartment? Am I an adult? Is this it? Since buying my own place last summer I've been slowly buying things to make it a home. While I've purchased items from multiple retailers, HomeGoods was always a place I had heard about but never explored for myself. I recently learned that HomeGoods is owned by the same company that owns TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I'm not a Maxxinista or a Marshalls..ista (?) so maybe that's why I never gave HomeGoods a second glance. However, my parents speak highly of it so I decided to check it out in search for a mirror. This store has a lot - from furniture and bedding down to food and little miscellaneous pieces of crap to place throughout your home. You really need patience to get through it all. I kind of compare it to a place like Century 21 - the good stuff is there you just need to really look. Anyway, I made my way to the mirrors and found a nice one which I snagged. While browsing, I also found these lamps that went *perfectly* with my living room color scheme and this really cozy throw blanket. Damn - they sucked me in. As much as a maze this place can be, it was pretty seamless and the employees at checkout were actually friendly. Wow - overall HomeGoods was a happy surprise. While I can imagine the selection can be hit or miss, I'll definitely keep them on the radar when buying for my place. read more

This is by far my favorite Home Goods. I've been to at least three others and it's almost always chaos. This one went through a chaotic period but I guess new management has kept it pretty organized. Things aren't thrown all over the place and the staff is actually very helpful unlike other locations. Since I've bought almost everything to decorate my place from here I have nothing left to buy. Hahaha that was funny - I never leave empty handed. They have a very good selection of furniture, which I have bought a few pieces from here. There are going to be things that are smashed up but that's how they get them in the first place. The key is to go when the new stock comes in and get to things before everybody and their mother has touched and or broken it. My absolute favorite expansion is their "gourmet" section since there are so many gluten free brands I've never even seen before and for much cheaper than I would pay if I just bought them online even. I've also seen management on a first name basis with customers who they have called in because they got new furniture they thought would appeal to them. If that's not good service for any kind of store I don't know what is. This is one of mine and my mom's favorite hang out and shop spots and it just keeps getting better. read more

We were in the area so we stopped by this Home Goods store. We have visited Home Goods in Manhattan & Long Island before this store and This is store better! I did not see the mess or chaos mention by other reviews; maybe because I visited on a weekday or maybe the cause of the mess is the weekend shoppers? The selection at this location is definitely better and different than other Home Goods stores I have visited. Worth a visit when furnishing a new apartment or home. read more

WARNING: TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR FURNITURE BEFORE COMING BACK TO PICK UP. I purchased 2 beautiful couches for over $2,600 here. We took a day off, rented a uhaul & came from NJ to pick up the couches only to find them excessively chipped & scratched. Clearly no one is careful when storing these. The store manager Joe didn't care or grant us an additional discount although we had picture proof that the couches had been in perfect condition. His justification was that these were originally "$2,000 couches each & on sale." Well, obviously everything on homegoods is considered a sale. Only helpful person here was Adriana. I wasted my time and money on a uhaul and left with no couches. Very disappointing. read more

While I make a visit to Home goods in White plains I notice how crowded it's getting as I browse around and maybe it's the storewide sales going on. The home furnishing , candles , selected packed foods and more with it's country rustic wood vibe seems to be popular and I don't have a country heartland type home or farmhouse but the lights , mirrors , picture frames does appeal to me and maybe a small table that is also grabbing my attention might be useful in my entrance foyer. The prices don't seem unreasonable and the staff are helpful with customers minus one jerk who was not interested in finding me a table lamp which was eventually found by a nice gal . The style of furnishing might not appeal to all but if you look good enough you just might find something you may like for your home or apt. read more

This is the only Homegoods I've ever been to- the store regularly looks like a small family of elephants has run through the place. IT IS ALWAYS TRASHED. I have been going here every couple weeks for the past 3 years and as far as I can tell the place is in a constant state of organizational emergency. This location is great for towels, seasonal items, and misc. kitchen crap. The artwork is total chaos and many pieces are damaged. Also there are some great rugs and misc. items of patio furniture. The more organized and nonghetto sister of TJ Maxx & Marshall's. This store is so well organized by department and then WITHIN the department that you don't feel like you are shopping at a discount chain, which makes the merchandise on display look of a better quality. TJ Maxx and Marshall's immediately screams bargain basement, but not HomeGoods. Excellent bedding, pet, kitchenware departments. I even stop in here to get items such as gift bags and wrapping paper. If you are redecorating your house, THIS is a place you want to come into several times a week. Oftentimes, they will have some pretty upscale pieces of furniture, but it's very random. One large wicker chair with ottoman and cushions that is of Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel quality, a buffet table or full outdoor patio set (not the kind you find in Kmart for $149). The lines do seem to go a little slower here than a TJ Maxx or Marshall's, but it could be because they individually wrap each item with WADS of tissue paper. If you frequent HomeGoods, you'll NEVER have to buy white tissue paper for gift bags ever again. read more

Looking for an Decent Store that carries everything from Glassware to Furniture (although very small selection), hard to find. So...here comes Home Goods with my meandering through it like a gift shop. Items can be overpriced, and then you may find that Diamond in the Rough. Everytime I go, there are crashes of stuff due to people and their wagons down narrow ailes with many items that are damaged and put back for sale. Furniture with cracks and nicks, if you don't mind, they don't mind. It's a hit or miss. I buy more gifts here then my own Decor. The Staff is friendly, the Manager so helpful. If you see something you like, need, want, perfect condition, good price...buy it. It will not be there upon your return. read more

I love love Home Goods! You can find amazing home decor at affordable prices! It is definitely hit or miss so it's a store that you have to constantly be scouring for items and deals. When I first moved into my home I managed to practically decorate my entire house with items found at home goods. I've found the same items that home goods carries at other home stores for more than double the price. This Home Goods has the best selection of toys and games for kids. It's a great place to buy a gift for someone. I think SOME things are a bit overpriced. We've bought things like: pillows, trunks, clothes, vases, cards, gift wrap, decorations and so much more from here. The place is very clean and organized. There are workers throughout the store, so you can always get some help of you need it. But make sure to ask for it because these people can't read minds. ;) read more
