We recently moved to downtown White Plains and I've been shopping at Target with much greater frequency and I have been very impressed with their dedicated staff. The people who work at Target really make the extra effort at helping their customers. It's a huge store and I'm amazed at how knowledgeable the salespeople are at helping me find obscure items. Every time I've asked if someone can help me find a particular item, the salespeople personally escort me to the particular aisle or give me excellent directions! I've also been impressed with their fresh produce and other grocery items. My daughters have often raved about Target stores and I was skeptical but now I'm also a true believer in their brand! read more

Okay for quick trips. Target is usually reliable, though some sections could be better organized.

In terms of discount department stores, Tar-gét is really the only one I go to. There's something about them that draws me in - maybe it's the silky smooth plastic carts, the hot red color scheme that consumes you, or that classic Target smell. I'm not sure - but it's one of those place you go either to die or bring you to life. This isn't my favorite Target - that's reserved for the one in Throggs Neck in the Bronx. This one, though, serves its purpose. It's definitely one of the biggest Targets I've been to - it seems to go on and on until you finallly come full circle. They have a large selection; I usually go in not particularly needing anything but always come out with something. A nice feature of this Target is the checkout - the registers are aligned side by side which makes sense - other Targets I've been to have two rows of checkout on top of each other which makes it clumsy and confusing. Many reviews here complain about customer service and cleanliness of the store. I generally don't like being helped when I'm shopping unless I absolutely need to talk to someone (with the cherry on top being me using self-checkout). That being said, I've never dealt with the employees directly - though I did overhear an employee acting like a total bitch to a customer asking an innocent question so I'll keep that in the back of my mind. As for the cleanliness - meh, there was some disorder in places but for the most part it was alright. You have to put this Target into its context - its in the basement of a mall in downtown White Plains; it sees a lot of foot traffic. Overall, not the best but not the worst Target I've been to - it serves its purpose. read more

Prices are CONSISTENTLY WRONG at the check out. Multiple items on multiple trips ring up higher at the register than is listed on the shelf. The error is NEVER in the customers favor. So tired of feeling scammed. Target is going downhill fast. read more

If not for the prices of certain items, this place would be complete garbage rather than mostly garbage. If you've been to one Target, you've generally been to them all. Similar layouts, prices, promotions, etc. The employees here are laughable and move........real...........slow. None of them were too friendly, but that's ok by me as I don't need to even associate with them. It's seems Target likes to hire rude and lethargic employees in this general area. Though in all fairness, this place is awesome compared to the Mount Vernon location - and all that comes with that. Again, prices are the main point here. From the bargain area in the front to the rest of the store, you could do a lot worse as far as prices go and easily save. Located in the White Plains City Center, parking is in the garage unless you're on foot and you need to pay. I don't recall them validating parking, so be sure to know how long you're going to be inside. They have self checkouts, so if you have a reasonable amount of items, you could use that feature and save yourself the aggravation of the lines and the rude/slow cashiers. Overall an option - not the best option - but if you shop at Target, while you certainly could do a lot better, you could also do worse. read more

As I see it, Target has always stood out for me. If I had to compare Walmart, Kmart and Target discount stores, the latter, would have to be my ultimate go-to every time. I primarily shop at Target for their unique home pieces and other products- not to mention, their great prices all around. Also, comparing the other two discount stores, Target's home items, don't look cheap and I can snag a few inexpensive accent pieces and jazz them up with other big ticket items I already own. What I like about this location, is that everything is well kept and isles are clear and glad we don't have the W.225th dreadful mess as I once remembered it. Why wouldn't people not take proper care of where they shop, return items to it's proper place and instead, shove clothes on the floor? Target's $1, $2 even $5 shelves filled with cute trinkets, always grabs my attention as I try to rack up cool stuff for the classrooms and for my Parent Meetings at work. Service is generally pleasant and sales associates- in my experience, are helpful (when you finally see one). Beyond that, Target's merchandise, comes with a nice value. read more

This place is filthy. Obviously no one cleans. Because I walked around the store and there were items on the floor and I had to jump over them. I couldn't even find what I was looking for because of this. I will not be back. read more

Love the layout of this target they always have everything I need can't wait to go back

I have tried COUNTLESS times to call this White Plains Target. NO ONE answers the phone. Either I get disconnected immediately, or if I'm "lucky" enough for the call to actually ring, it rings for a couple of minutes, no one answers and then it is disconnected. In years past, customer service would always answer pretty quickly. What has happened?? The pandemic?? You cannot use that as an excuse any longer. Pathetic. read more

I want to compliment an employee of Starbucks in your store. I was there on Sunday, Feb. 5th at 2 pm. He was friendly, kind, helpful, considerate to customers, just a really nice guy and pleasant to deal with. He should be recognized for his service. Thank you! Susan (customer) read more

Just came back from the new Port Chester location, went in with my 6yr. Old grandson. Told him he could purchase one toy. He found something he was looking for , Therizinosaurus claws, they are Dino claws you wear. when we got to the cashier he said they couldnt sell them until the 17th. I sare th the shelf? long story ahort You need to explain that to my 6yr old grandson then. So you have children picking out items that you can't sell. One of the employees said , we are still learning. I said whoever is in charge of the toy dept . Isn't doing their job. Someone needs to be reprimanded. I won't be back. read more

PRETTY GOOD Target (White Plains) is doing a solid job during the pandemic. * Pick-up desk near parking garage. * Attendant behind plexiglass. * Zero contact pick-up. Only issues: * No curb-side pick-up at this location. * Customer service never answered the phone. Was trying to confirm how pick-up process worked. Waited 9 1/2 minutes, over multiple calls, made on Thursday, August 6 2020, from 3:10 pm to 3:23 pm :-\ Per Google live data, store wasn't busy at the time. Note: Finally, I randomly called the Electronics dept. A man promptly answered, and helpfully answered. * Doors to parking garage designed to be touched & pulled open via handle. * Can't choose language when you call. If you don't know the options, you must listen to a recording for 2 minutes (first English, then Spanish). read more

I would normally put a 5 for this store but after the horrible experience i got i had to put a 1. I had pre order my stuff online to pick up, i always do check my items but since i was rushing out i didnt. When i get home i called the store and told them im missing one item which was a kids applesauce box. The lady who picked up the phone told me that i should of checked and that i should come back to the store to pick it up. Didnt even apologize for the inconvenience. I told her i lived a bit far from the store and she didnt care, she stated it was not her fault i didnt receive my items. The next day i went back and complained to her boss and he helped me get my item missing. He suggested if i feel the need to write a review about it. I said i was! read more

I love this Target as much as any of them. But I have to say, it seems to be one of the smaller branches I've been to. Maybe it's just me, but I can swear these guys have less stock on hand than most other Targets. Regardless, shopping here is really a treat. Parking is a breeze and the staff even has a pulse, especially compared to the branches I used to shop at in Manhattan and the Bronx. Good deal all around. read more

Worse Target. It use to be very nice. No one answers the telephone and the bottle return is always broken and closed. I contacted their corporate office and still nothing resolved. So I stopped shopping at that location. read more

Decided it was a good idea to go pee before shopping. None and I mean- not a single one- of the ten or such toilets had toilet paper. How is it possible that target (who has an entire isle devoted to toilet paper!!!) doesn't have paper to refill for customers. I imagine that bathroom had not been cleaned or serviced for at least two days. Shame on whoever manages this place. read more

Omg this place has the worst customer service it's almost equivalent to Walmart. I'm writing this because the bathroom in this place looks like I was using a restroom in a shelter. I'll post the pics of the bathroom for you to see. They need a board on the wall to sign and fill out for after the person cleaned the restroom this was really gross, I was shocked to see this or should I say it made my skin crawl. Management should take a look into this and do better. The crazy part is this was every stahl in this place . read more

This is your average Target but the main reason to avoid this is the parking situation. The garage attached to it doesn't have a security camera and has a fee. Someone keyed my car while I parked there and the security guard and police officer said there isn't a way to find out who it was. What are we paying for? Anyway, if ANYTHING could happen in that lot without the offender being caught, I'd be scared to go back. A parking garage without cameras? NO THANKS. read more

This place is lousy compared to other Targets- the shelves always have stuff missing - today there were no yogurts and the kids wEre still stocking them so I decided to come back - 20 minutes later- they're talking more than stocking and still no yogurts. Kodiak pancake buttermilk they are always out of and nnever mind the oatmeal - the whole kodiak section was empty except for peanut butter flavor. Persil says $11.99 right under the bottles but scans at $12.39- oh the stock boy forgot to change the price but no offer to let me have it for the price they had- at Shoprite that would be automatically free due to their error. I want to like Target but it's just so many errors. read more

If there is a place in which someone can both lose their mind and find their soul, it is Target. I live and breathe Target. The products, the signage, the selection, the smell. Give me all of it. This Target doesn't fail to deliver the Target experience I crave. The customer service is great and the selection is on par with any other Target store (but perhaps slightly smaller than other Targets). I always walk away with a full heart and full shopping bags. Thanks for being you, Target. read more

Aww, I don't get all the hate on the reviews...I love Target! Granted, it's not the largest franchise in the country, but it really is a decent store for its size. It doesn't sell everything you can ever want or need, but no store ever will. The grocery section is pretty packed considering the size of the store, and contains tons of basic food items that are on your shopping list. I admit that the produce selection is sorely lacking, but since this is not a full supermarket (and there is one actually upstairs), you can't really complain about that. My favorite things to shop for are usually the house wares and clothing. The house wares are very contemporary, attractive and reasonably priced, great for people who want to decorate (or mildly makeover) their home on a budget. The clothing is extremely stylish and well-made (especially the limited edition designer gear)...not to mention, they often offer insanely deep discounts on the out of season threads. I got a Philip Lim 3.1 blouse for 2/3rds off last season! I also love their shoe department because they carry a lot of cute footwear in my size (11). I often tell my fellow bigfoot sisters to go to Target for a stress-free shoe shopping experience. The one department that probably needs an expansion badly is electronics. While I've purchased a few items from there before, they don't have a large selection of goods, and could not always find what I want. They also don't have a bunch of fitness/outdoors goods either, which kind of blows if you need something on the fly. Also- I highly recommend shopping on Tuesdays or Wednesdays if you can help it, as they restock their items on Mondays. Again, I love Target, and will forever shop here as long as I'm living in Westchester! *\o/* read more

Today I went to this store after looking online first to see if the items were in stock. When I arrived at the store the very rude lady at customer service told me none of the items were in stock. she told me the system only updates every season. So you are telling me when an item is out of stock it wont show out of stock until the following season??? I call shenanigans on this!!! Target,I am very disappointed in your "customer service" and I will not be returning. I spend a lot of money at your stores but I am going to find a new place to shop. Thank you for wasting my time and gas today. Oh and by the way this store is filthy and smells awful from the pizza hut. Maybe having a greasy, disgusting chain food restaurant located next to the clothing is a bad idea. Everything stinks! read more

Always loved to shop at target stores in different cities and states. But sadly this is the worst target store, possibly the worst shopping experience we have ever had. Store employees refused to help customer on price checking. Floor supervisor simply lied to us and pretended to be the store manager when customer trying to file a complaint. Will have to escalate this to target headquarter. For sure not coming back to this location to ruin another family shopping experience. read more

Plenty of employees but most are not interested in helping customers, nor are they interested in doing their jobs. They are more interested in talking to each other. There are a few that will help but they do not offer they must be asked first. The dairy often has expired or moldy items. The store is often in shambles with product dropped on the floor. The bathroom needs to be cleaned more often and thoroughly not the lazy quick way they clean it now. read more

I love Target, and this is one retail brand that's shown it can uphold quality customer service and provide needed supplies at a decent price. Sure, it's not Wal-Mart in terms of prices, but it's a much better shopping experience as opposed to the crazed, dirty, disorganized W-M that neighbors it. I frequent Target and always find a good price and everything I need. I couldn't mention Target without mentioning the folks at their Pharmacy. This crew truly makes going there a pleasure. The Pharmacy staff are friendly, and all know my family and I by name, as well as most of their customers. They make you feel like you're at a small neighborhood drug store, and they go above and beyond for you. The fact that the pharmacy is open when most others aren't is icing on the cake. Head Pharmacist Papa A. and his staff are a true asset to the whole store. I highly recommend! read more

Are you confused about what a Target store is? If so, this review won't help you. Have you ventured into Target stores in other parts of New York or other states? Congratulations, you're in luck. If you're unfortunate enough to have the Atlantic Terminal or Harlem Target stores as your normal stores, this store will seem like you've died and have gone to heaven. No more digging around your storage unit for your samurai armor for combat shopping before heading in. Wide aisles easily accommodate your Target standard issue cart (complete with 2.7 fully working and rotating wheels). Staff, like many of those at other Target stores, actively avoid the customer, however, when cornered they will help you out, perhaps in a simple effort to make you go away. However, like every Target store I've been to in New York (both city and burbs), this one is just messy. It's either something to do with the training that Target employees receive or the obnoxious customers -- which are only slightly better than what you'd find at the NYC Target stores. Here is a spot where you can make a difference. I realize that no one decides whether or not to go to Target based on a review on Yelp. Heck, most people never read a review of Target on Yelp. But, you can make a difference -- fight against the tide. Don't be a jerk when you go to Target. If your cart knocks stuff down, pick it up. Say please and thank you rather than running over my size 13 elephant feet. Smile a little bit and thank the cashier. After you do all these you may get a feel of what it's like to shop in Target stores outside the NYC area -- a pretty nice experience. read more

Parking is easy and cheap, which pretty much sums up the shopping experience here. Came here at around 10pm on a monday night and they were still open. Definitely like Target more than Walmart. Well I've always come to this target and it's an okay one. They've definitely made a lot of store improvements but today I decided to come for a few items and today was just bad. They only had two registers open and there was a long line like what the hell. I see so many other workers around the store and they can't call for backup?? Anyways it's a big store so that's nice and it has a Pizza Hut express which is nice also. But no service so stick together with your group. They have free wifi so if you have wifi calling it helps. Parking lot is big so that's cool. But overall they need to get more people on the register. read more

This store lately has been going down. The employees are not too friendly at night particularly I guess is because they have to put back and organize all the mess of during the day. I am done shopping in Target White Plains. I received an order that came today five pairs of pants that didn't fit. I paid almost $125.00 on my Target card. I had email showing what I paid and I had packing slip and all items had tags. I had my target card and my picture id. Why was this an issue? Oh maybe because I am not a person your associate wants to deal with because Dayna who claims to be a manager says I am calling another manager "I can't deal with white people.
