I normally shop online because it's easier for me, however I had to go into the mall to another store so I parked in the Nordstrom parking lot. They have a decent amount of handicap and regular parking spots. They also have elevators as well. I was briefly browsing the different departments. They have three floors with different departments such as a kids/toy section, shoe department, cosmetics department, women's and men's department. Everything was well organized and there seemed to be plenty of staff to assist with purchases. I didn't interact with the employees as I was just passing through. Finally if you work up an appetite they have a cafe within their store. Go try them. The food is great. read more

Disgusting Worker. I brought my child down the escalator in her stroller in a rush when the elevators had a huge line. The female worker at the Chanel makeup bar told me that my daughter is going to end up at the bottom of the escalator in a pool of blood and that we are disgusting parents. Plenty of sales people on the floor. Not a single one helped! In ANY department!! Biggest turn off from what used to be my favorite department store. I'm so disappointed and disgusted so excuse the one star because it should be zero... Besides the young gentleman who I won't name that helped greatly, there was a older gentleman who completely turned my shopping experience into hell! As the younger gentleman was helping me the older one "Bobby" I think it was, snatched the clothes out of my hands and told the younger gentleman that he was "Already helping me!" Which was a complete blatant lie! Then proceeds to argue in front of me, making me very, very uncomfortable. Last year we needed a new suit for our child and I went to my usual stores, but could not find anything in stock. My friend recommended the suit department at Nordstrom The Westchester for suits and formal separates. I was impressed with the selection and the Nordstrom staff, who were very knowledgeable about the fit and options. I was so pleased that we returned when we had another formal occasion. I'm not the biggest Nordstrom shopper, but when I'm in The Westchester Mall I will almost always stop in to browse. While my physical shopping has slowed down considerably since the pandemic hit, I do enjoy a nice department store, so when I venture out I usually will opt for a place like Nordstrom to browse. This Nordstrom spans three levels and serves as one of two anchors to The Westchester Mall. I'm almost always on the first level which houses the mens section among other things. Their selection is decent - I love the fact that they carry Bonobos since that's one of my brands, as well as a number of Ted Baker items. Expanding beyond my own likes, this Nordstrom really provides most of what you would expect out of a high-end department store: the brands, the selection, and the helpful employees. With easy access to the mall and also to multiple parking garages, Nordstrom sees a lot of foot traffic. Personally, I don't feel I can get much serious shopping done here because I enjoy the more extensive inventory my brands have online. However, that doesn't discount the store as whole in my eyes - it's a solid department store. Next time I take a trip to The Westchester, I'll be back. read more

I'm a 25-year+ Nordstrom customer and credit card holder, and have always enjoyed good customer service. That is, until yesterday... Yesterday (2/8/25) I engaged with the manager of the Pickup and Customer Service Dep't on the 3rd floor of the White Plains, NY location. I was returning a never-worn pair of sandals in its original packaging. The item was purchased online from Nordstrom Rack on December 23rd and arrived at my home (19 days later) on January 11th. Apparently Nordstrom Rack has a 30-day return policy, of which I was unaware, as it is not on the confirmation email. Nevertheless, the 30-day policy is inapplicable as I was attempting a return on Day 28. (From 1/11 to 2/8 is 28 days.) Shockingly, the rude manager refused to acknowledge that my return was timely. Instead, the rude manager started the clock on the 30-day policy on Dec. 23rd, the date of my online purchase, and claimed that my return was untimely! How utterly ridiculous. When he stated flatly without elaboration that he couldn't accommodate me, I asked: Are you unable or just unwilling? He acknowledged that he was unwilling. There was nothing about my behavior that was unseemly, disrespectful, or demanding. Why did he disrespect me? Why did he lie to me about the return policy? Suffice it to say, I was stunned. Is it Nordstrom's new policy to be rude to their customers? Is it Nordstrom's new policy to apply a 30-day return policy to the date of purchase and not the day of the item's arrival? Is it Nordstrom's new policy to insult the intelligence of their customers? My item arrived 19 days after it was ordered. Am I to believe that my 30-day return window is actually only 11 days? My suggestion is for the rude manager to brush up on Nordstrom's actual policies, to brush up on the meaning of customer service, and to inject a little kindness in the performance of his job. read more

After spending $3,000 on a suit be prepared to pay $3 for parking because unless you "act today and apply for the Nordstrom charge card" they no longer validate. This probably shouldn't bother me so much but it's Just yet another reminder of how far Nordstrom has fallen. I purchased a Canada Goose white coat at the Nordstrom westchester store a few years ago. I cannot find a receipt for it. The color from the dark trim piping is bleeding and no dry cleaner would clean the coat. This should not happen. I went to Fabricare Cleaners, 11/2/23, located in Norwalk Ct. I spoke to the technical expert, Felix and Eduardo . They show me why it cannot be cleaned. He took a piece of tissue , wet it and rub it , the dye rubbed off in all the areas where there was the dark blue trim. Felix said that it is obviously the manufacturing process where the dye was not set properly. Felix will be happy to be a reference as the subject matter expert. I paid $975 US and would like to get a replacement or refund. I have been trying to get the coat cleaned for years and no cleaner would take it to clean. How can Nordstrom sell a product that cannot be cleaned After a week of nothing but lip service, including their response to this review, It does not look like I will get any response . Every correspondence led to a dead end and email just circle me back and forth, Nordstrom customer service gets a 'F'. I am going to see if I can get warranty service from Canada Goose directly. That is my last resort. As for Nordstrom , I will vote with my feet. read more

My clothing trips are few and far between, thankfully, as I hate shopping. I also have some sizing challenges, including shoes and jackets. Most stores don't stock men's size 7 dress shoes, and 38 short jackets are in short supply (no pun intended). Nordstrom handles both. The kicker is the phone call - Nordstrom security calls (not AMEX, as usual) to say someone tried to use my card fraudulently. "How did you know",I asked. "They tried to buy size 9 shoes". It's becoming harder and harder to find a department store where you can get great customer service and excellent quality in the merchandise you buy. That's not the case when you shop at Nordstrom's! Every time I go to Nordstrom's at The Westchester, I'm always astonished by the professionalism of their dedicated staff and the way I feel while trying on clothes and even when I'm home and reflecting on my experiences. This evening I headed over to buy some slacks and dress shirts and worked with a wonderfully caring salesman, Eli, who went out of his way to make my shopping experience so pleasing, that I only wanted to buy more clothes to increase his commission! Please disregard my previous generous review of Nordstrom. Up until today, I had shopped at Nordstrom for over 20 years. I first fell in love with the store while living in Seattle. The respect, the customer service and especially the merchandise were second to none. When I moved to Westchester the service was not as good as can be found in Seattle and even Denver. Nonetheless I kept shopping at the store. Well that ends today. This is all due to the express service department on the first floor. And the "gentleman" pictured in the photo attached to this review. He was rude, condescending and disrespectful to me. And he did very little aside from making snide remarks. His coworkers (4 of them) attempted to help him. He could accurately look up my order. He did not know where the items were. He could not distinguish between a refundI and a cancellation. At the end of my visit there he aggressively and sarcastically yelled "you're welcome" - I have worked in customer service for a bit and it is customary to THANK all customers. Nordstrom employees used to be well trained enough to understand. Now they are just another brand on decline. There are many places to shop in Westchester County. I don't have to take such treatment. Being taller than average has some advantages but also some disadvantages, especially when it comes to clothing. I needed a tie for a special occasion, an extra long tie. I called the other high end department store in WP and the man who answered my call, checked on the availability of extra long ties and told me they didn't have any in store. I then called Nordstrom and was told by a woman that yes indeed they have them in stock, although not a large selection. So I drive the 20+ miles to WP and to the Mens Dept I go. I ask the young lady working in the dept where I might find the extra long ties. She points to a table full of ties and tells me they are on that table, mixed in with the regular length ties. She casually looks at a couple of size tags and tells me I have to look at every single label to find the long ones...no real effort to help me despite me being the only customer in the dept at that time. So I look through the 50 or so ties only to discover that the number of long ties on the table is exactly 0. I walk over to the same young lady, tell her there is nothing on the table in extra long. She says maybe they are sold out. I explain that I called about an hour before, was told they had "a small selection" and drove 30 minutes to get here. She checks with another co-worker, who points to another table and she tells me to check that table. Another 50 ties later, I find the entire selection of extra long ties...both of them. So I buy half of their inventory (1 tie) and leave. Nordstrom, your level of customer service is horrible. read more

We are used to this behavior but this store went out of their way to show they were uncomfortable with us in their store. Don't believe me? Ms Esra Hughes-White was exceptional in skillfully and politely managing multiple customers at the same time. She made numerous calls on my behalf to locate a mens shirt from another Nordstroms even though it was very time consuming. I've never actually bought anything here for myself. Rather, I use it as a one stop shop for all of my last minute gift needs. The Mrs. loves this place too, especially the shoe department, of course. But the pricing is so over the top, it never is a very good deal for me. Unless I need something for a specific occasion at the last minute (actually happens a good 6 to 7 times a year actually) I'll always buy online, since it's always proved to be far cheaper. It's a really sad fact that if you buy from a local retailer you're probably going to get hosed, but that's really the case the days isn't it? read more

It is the only retail store that I can call and actually speak with a person the people who answer the phones are always so happy and cheerful when answering the phones and they are nit in White Plains. I do most of my Nordstrom shopping on line. Sometimes I pick up In store and sometimes they deliver it. My problem White Plains location has more stock in my size than SONo Collection. But the customer service in White Plains is lacking. Norwalk is so much better just no product. Updating and giving an extra star because I just love their customer service. read more

I visited the cosmetics department at this store today looking for the Clinique counter. On asking three sales associates "where can I find the Clinique counter", who by the way were all stood around talking and looking at something on a cell phone. I was quickly and abruptly told to go further down the department where someone else would help me. I found the Clinique counter myself and of course not one member of staff was available to help, despite several other associates standing around twiddling their thumbs. I had to ask for help...........low and behold what I wanted wasn't available. Well, I took my business to Sephora were the customer service was second to none. I happily spent my $300 there. Now onto to the tailor section, Souleymane and Abraham were fantastic and very professional in handing our tailor needs. I think they went over and beyond their job descriptions. People often laud their generous return policy, deservedly so, but their staff are the true stars here. I've even had pleasant experiences on the phone with customer service reps from Nordstrom.com. Back to the personal shopping. I think this is one of the things that sets Nordstrom apart. You can schedule an appointment with a personal shopper on the Nordstrom website and get a truly free, no obligation consultation. My consultant texted me before the appointment, got all my sizes, found out what I was looking for, and by the time I arrived in the store, she already had a full dressing room waiting with things for me to try on. We then walked the floor together and she pointed out next season's trends, etc. and got a better idea of my personal style. She was conscious of my budget, pointing out sale items and her personal favorite brands. To be honest, I've gotten a taste of the good life and it's hard to go back to regular shopping now! Thirsty? Here's a bottle of Perrier for you. Coordinating boots for that outfit? Brought straight to the dressing room in your size, no need to track down a sales rep on the shoe floor. Throughout my visit, I didn't feel any pressure to buy anything. Of course, in the end I spent more than anticipated because of all the great finds. All in all, it was a great experience. After paying, she held on to my bags while I shopped in another department. My shopper will still occasionally text me when there's a sale going on as well. read more

Most of the sales associates were so nice and helpful! There was one time I really need the jeans to be altered fast (going away for vacation). The tailor rushed, and finished within 10 mins!!!! Per my last review, I've been back a few times because I do love the clothing and enjoy the sales they have here every so often, and this is literally the closet location in relation to where I live. I cannot say anything has gotten better as far as the customer service though. Last order was an online order that I placed on 1/13/2020, this was just a pickup in store order, the next day I felt like going to the store to also shop around for a few things in the topshop and madewell section. I made a few purchases around the store, I know that you will receive an email when your in store pickup is ready but I figured since I was in the store I might as well stop by the pickup desk and check if by chance my order was either ready OR if not, they'd just be able to go and grab the selected item IF the item I purchased was in store. The lady behind the desk asks for my name and order number and checks the system, she then says " you literally placed this order around 1:00 am this morning " i said yeah I know but I was here anyway figured I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Another employee comes over and looks at the screen and says " tHe item is actually in store so it's being fulfilled by us, just give it a few hours it should be ready" Me being non-confrontational I didn't even want to go further by saying " well if the item is in store can't someone just go and grab it since I'm here ?" it was only a pair of shoes and the pick up desk is located right next to the shoe section. So I said ok thank you and left the mall. Being that she said a few hours I figured I'd run some local errands around the outside of the mall so when I got the email I'd just head back over to the mall. Needless to say I never received an email that day so I just went home. Next day around 3pm I get an emaiil that my item was ready for pick up, I had no time to stop at the mall being I work and also have a newborn, so a couple of days go by fast forward to today, I'm on my way to meet my family for lunch and thought to do curbside pickup on my item since I have my newborn with me and he's sleeping in the backseat, super convenient to have a curbside pick up option, I don't have to unload the stroller and my son etc. you get it! I check in that I'm here at 12:32 PM. As I'm typing this review at 1:10 PM I am currently still sitting in my car at the curbside pick up area and no one has brought my item out. I've called and texted the number on the signs at the pickup area and NOTHING. This is absolutely ridiculous; why even offer this to loyal customers if your employees can't pull through. I guess I'll update this if someone ever comes out with my item. Totally unacceptable, this will probably be the last time I ever come back here. That's so hard for me to say because this has always been the go-to place for me when I need anything but I just cannot continue patronizing a place that lacks this much in customer service read more

This probably the worst store in the mall. Went in on New Years Eve in search for a dress and your customer service could not be bothered when I asked them for a certain dress size. Working in the mall myself I understand how frustrating and possibly disappointing it is to work on holiday, but your employees always look uninterested and miserable and stand around talking about one another and complaining. I draw the line when I was trying to pay for something and I had someone suck their teeth and wave me down to the cash register when they had to be the one to do it. Nothing short of superlative. Started shopping here twenty years ago, as I had a Nordstrom charge card. Well, the Men's Department was something of a mish-mash, on two floors, as most was dedicated to women's wear. Well, I started coming in over the summer, late one night. I was gobsmacked! What an update! The piano is gone, oh well. But the store has a fresh, updated look. AND THEY CARRY KIEHL'S SINCE 1851, SOMETHING I HAD BEGGED THEM TWENTY YEARS S PRIOR! Personal Stylist Audrey Servillo is wonderful; called, she had certain items waiting for me to try on. Well, I was pressed for time, had Dr. Appointment, but didn't forget how she made me feel, went over the different brands and items they retail. Gave me wonderful tips; if I saw something online or on my app, MESSAGE HER, SHE WILL ORDER! OMFG, I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT, EVEN THOUGH MY PHABLET IS MY LIFE! Jenny in Beauty also is fabulous, ordered Aveda Clove shampoo and conditioner, and placed order during a TRIPLE POINTS EVENT! And the manager, Cailin Caro, is simply marvellous! I had the extreme pleasure of meeting her, and gushing at how wonderful everyone at Nordstrom is, at least the staff I have encountered. From online, social media, the Nordstrom Bank (Have the Nordstrom Debit card ), and the many department stores I have shopped in the past thirty plus years, NEVER HAVE I ENCOUNTERED SUCH UNPARALLELED SERVICE AND SUPPORT! Everyone makes me feel like part of the Nordstrom family. The update is that my relationship with the staff of Nordstrom has been superlative. Cailin Caro greets me as a cherished family friend, which not only moves me emotionally, but gives me that needed emotional support during this difficult time in my life. The scurrilous attacks on Nordstrom are unwarranted, and deeply offensive! I will NOT allow ANYONE, INCLUDING THIS #FauxGrabYourWalletBoycott, blatant Trump supporters and those opposed to the Fall Moschino Collection. I must say, in this day and age of Amazon Prime, Nordstrom is falling far behind in e-commerce. Purchase orders take far too long to receive and returns are nothing short of a nightmare. Avoid on line shopping and sell all common stock (JWN) that may be in your portfolio. They have a great historical reputation but are clearly falling asleep at the wheel. Sorry!! read more

Nordstrom is easily the best department chain in the country. And since this outpost is within 30-45 of Manhattan, I would argue that this is the best choice for city folk who want to shop in the burbs. Sure, you can nitpick and complain about the parking fee, the price points, the brand choices. And this Nordstrom is embarking on a major renovation, so that all the departments are being juggled and the serene atmosphere messed with. All valid points. But the big picture is that the sales staff here is kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and savvy--no exceptions. The merchandise is well chosen. There's an air of luxury without the sky-high prices. And the ladies lounges feel like private clubs! This Nordstrom is not perfect, but it's as close to retail heaven as you're likely to get. read more
