I've worn cocktail dresses and formal dresses- but it's been a while since I've worn a gown for a black-tie event. And even with the 3 floor-lengths I have in my closet, I was having anxiety because I needed an up-to-the-minute gown. I was stuck between Bloomies, Neiman or Nordstrom to find one. Quite honestly, I didn't find anything I liked until my auntie-in-law told me about this place on the 2nd floor at The Westchester to purchase a gown for hubs' 3rd(?), 4th(?) [are they even still related?] cousin's wedding. Chic B. is a paradise for gowns practically in every color, sleeve style, cinched at the waist, etc. I remember these folks when they were located at the Galleria in White Plains and before the mall closed its doors for good, these folks booked and looked for greener pastures here. I wanted to go all out with some ritz, glitz and flowy fabric. I knew that some tulle and beaded embellishments here and there, weren't going to hurt for the June wedding I'll be attending. Natasha was great and helped me locate a black beaded gown with split-capped sleeves. I tried it on in late May, was perfect, paid and out I went with my gown in hand. I tried my newly-bought gown with a pair of thin, strappy 4" Calvin K. sandals I have at home- but the dress was way too long. Returned with sandals in hand one day after work for a fitting and the tailor pinned the hem. Great. Because the beaded tulle had to be cut, that just added extra labor and attention- not to mention, cost. Truthfully, I didn't want the added $200+ for a hem in addition to what I just paid for the gown. I tried to finagle my way out of paying that when I asked to exchange the dress for another that didn't require any alterations, NO. Asked again in case I didn't understand him- still NO. Now mind you, I had just bought the dress on a Saturday, then had it sized on a Monday after work and wayyyys before my event for crying out loud and can't exchange it?!?! In the end, I paid it. Here's another issue I had- payment for repairs have to be made on the spot. Now let me get this straight- NO exchanges and HAVE to pay for repairs even before your dress is altered??? So if the tailor messes up, now you're stuck with a lopsided gown? (not that- that's going to happen)- get the hell outta here. Listen, the one star is for Natasha who was awesome. And the gentleman who stays at the register everyone keeps writing about? Well, it's true. Aside from the slight language barrier, he's uptight. I get it- he's not the bubbly type- but his attitude or lack of really gets in the way from that positive customer service. So if you're looking for a gown, really go elsewhere that have proper return/exchange policies in place. This isn't the store where you can exchange your gown for another prior to your event- even if you 'saw something else on the floor that caught your eye' nor is this the place to "return within 30 days"- EVEN with store receipt.

I'm laughing as I write...90% of my shopping is done online. ALL of these retailers will be gone in…read morethe very near future. Brick and mortar is done. Toast. I honestly don't understand how anybody walks into a store these days to make a purchase? Must be the baby boomer market holding on for dear life. I haven't purchased a "wearable item" from a physical store...in about 17 years. However, my wife convinced me to try The Rack. I was pleasantly surprised. She went her way, I went my way, we met in the middle after 2 hours. The store was crowded and the customers were carelessly shoving unwanted items anywhere. Think Fordham Road meets the Westchester Mall. It's an eclectic mix. The employees, were diligent in trying to keep things in order. I'd be dropping F bombs at these customers. Pigs. I was also pleasantly surprised that an employee approached my wife and I, as we struggled to carry all of our finds, and brought us a cart to make it easier. Really? Wow! Excellent service. I wish I knew her name. Dare I say this...I'll be back! Loved everything we purchased and we saved a bunch of money on designer duds. I'd give 5 stars however...there was an employee drunk in the ladies shoe section. I felt bad for her but she was wasted. Smelled like a bar and kept asking if we needed help. Very nice but confused. At least she wasn't an angry drunk. Still, shouldn't be drinking while working...not a good optic. Had a great experience and will be back each season. Wow, brick and mortar captured my share of wallet...in 2017! That's impressive!

We were not greeted upon entering, and when my sister approached the register to ask about her pickup order, the employee behind the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping. After my sister explained she had received the pickup email about two weeks ago, the employee immediately said orders are automatically refunded after one week if not picked up. She didn't even bother checking to see if the order might still be there. On top of that, the store itself felt very dim and dingy. The lighting was poor, and several pieces of luggage on display looked dirty and used, especially the wheels. Overall, not a pleasant shopping experience and unfortunately not a place I would return to.

I had a specific model sneaker in mind . The minute I walked in a young man ( Jacob) instantly stepped forward to greet me ! Zero wait time ! Jacob was outgoing, polite and professional. He actually took the time to measure my feet to insure proper fit! He unpacked the sneakers , opened them and presented them so I could easily try them on . A pleasant exchange start to finish ! If you are sneaker shopping , I suggest you go there and ask for Jacob.

She is so helpful and not over bearing. recently, I have met Kerri who is also lovely and had great energy. I want to highlight Jasmine. I noticed a significant difference in the layout of the store and that it was too crowded which enabled you to see what was on the racks much mire. I think Jasmine has an eye for clothing and reakkt great taste as a buyer. Huge kudos to Jasmine. I even noticed when I went to a store across the street, it was so crowded and it was hard to even look at things. I cannot emphasize enough what a huge difference Jasmine has made. unfortunately, I have also noticed that the prices keep going up and it makes it not as approachable as it used to be.
