Quick note: the name of the bridal shop on Yelp is incorrect. It's now Virginia's Bridal. I had a great bridal dress shopping experience at Virginia's Bridal. My mom, grandma, mother-in-law, and 2 bridemaids came with me to help find my dress and I'm happy to share that I said "Yes to the Dress". The overall experience was seamless from making my appointment on the phone with Virginia to the receiving a follow-up call and email to ensure that everything was ready for me ahead of my appointment from my Bridal Consultant Lou Lou, who is AMAZING! I was welcomed immediately and made to feel appreciated and taken care from the moment I entered the door. I live a few blocks away from the bridal shop and always walk by it on my way to City Centre so when I got engaged this summer, I obviously wanted to ensure that I had an appointment set up here, especially knowing that I always had seen beautiful dresses on display on their window. I also liked what I had seen on their website. I was treated like a princess and felt like one when trying on my dresses. There is a wide assortment of dresses and designers across price ranges as this place was a lot bigger than I thought once inside. From the start I had a Calla Blanche dress in mind and low and behold, the first dress I tried on and chose was a Calla Blanche, although different than the one I had seen online. I maybe tried on 8 dresses or so and Lou Lou helped me narrow down my options via process of elimination. I explained to her the style I was looking for, budget, and she made sure we had a great assortment of dresses to try on and have fun with. By the time it came to choosing my dress, I may have tried it on 3 times and loved it more each time. (Even got a bit emotional so I knew it was the one). Funny enough it wasn't even the style I thought I had in mind, which is why you must try these on! My family and friends were made to feel very comfortable and welcomed also which I appreciated. The space is comfortable and clean inside. There was one other bride also trying on dresses at the same time but she was on the other side of me and did not interfere with my experience so no concerns there. I had a lot of fun. I had a nice dressing room and Lou Lou there to help with each dress and the clips + got to see my dress at all stages of the day with the mirror that changes lighting. It was pretty neat. Lou Lou was the ultimate hype woman and got my family & friends engaged in the process too - she announced me each time, had the music going, it was fun. I had a feeling I would find my dress here and am happy to say that I did. The only thing that stings a bit is that I went wayyyyy over budget with the dress and the "looks". The dress itself was within budget but I was upsold on an additional piece that really did make the dress and look extra "WOW" but I maybe could have done without. I can also blame my family and friends for their reactions, they loved it. So I'm not too upset about it and am excited to walk down the aisle in it and hope my fiancé also goes "WOW" :). I can't wait to try on my dress in a few months. For those brides purchasing kindly note the sale price is final so be 100% sure and alteration price is not included. Wish I had looked at the other Yelp reviews before making an appointment here. I came several months ago specifically to try on Hayley Paige gowns, which are advertised on the website under "Collections." There was ONE Hayley Paige gown in the entire store to try on, and I was informed that the collection was being phased out. This was months ago, and Hayley Paige is still prominently advertised on the website. When I arrived on time for my appointment, the attendant was not ready for me and my family, so we had to wait 20 minutes before the appointment even started. The attendant seemed frazzled and distracted the entire appointment. There were multiple occasions when I had to have one of my family members walk through the store looking for her- she would just randomly disappear. My attendant also did not seem to be pulling the dresses I wanted- I was very specific about the type of dress I was looking for, and she kept pulling odd choices that did not match what I had requested. Another bride had an appointment at the same time and it looked like we had similar taste, but she was actually getting gowns that matched- I requested my attendant pull multiple of the dresses she was trying on. On top of all of this, this was the only store I visited where every single dress I tried on was dirty and smelled like body odor. Everything about my appointment was unpleasant. I also wrote to the store to tell them about my experience, and got no response, which was just the cherry on top confirming that they do not care. Do NOT come here for a wedding gown. read more

Honestly, I thought that we would have had a better experience here considering the reviews. Our experience was very underwhelming and honestly, a waste of time. We made an appointment and were required to provide a credit card in case we didn't show, which would result in a $50 fee. This made me feel like they would be taking things seriously. We get to our appointment and stood around for at least ten minutes waiting for someone to even acknowledge us. Finally, we were told to take a seat to wait, despite the appointment. We were finally brought over to the bridesmaids dresses as my matron of honor was still looking for a dress. A lady assumed the dress was for me and completely ignored my matron of honor. I informed her that, my matron of honor needed the attention today. It took some time after that for us to actually speak to our consultant. In the end, the dress selection was terrible and my matron of honor ended up trying on nothing. All they carry are spaghetti strapped dresses with no selection. It was suggested that we try a department store. Not to mention, everything was super over priced. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

I came in today with my mother and two good friends to try on dresses. Lulu helped me find the absolute most perfect dress. She made me feel more beautiful than I ever have, and the dress is unique and gorgeous. Not only that, the price was also gorgeous. We got the dress, a tiara, and a veil all for around 3k. We made an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses (which was a major deal cause they were so busy. We got to store on time and waited in the lobby for 5-10 minutes. No one came to assist so I walked back to where I heard voices. I told the woman we were here to look at bridesmaid dresses. She said go in that cove (which was a closet was about about 5-6 feet wide with 2 racks of dresses). You could you barely fit a person. A woman came in and told us the designers and then left. Never saw a person again. I tried on 5-8 dresses. Not one person came to assist, ask us if we needed anything- NOTHING. We quickly left as there was no point in staying. Even if I did like a dress I would not have given them my money. Another girl came in with her party and she also waited in lobby for no one to come out! Poor poor customer service. Will not be back. My guess is- we were not dropping $1000 on a bridesmaid dress so we were not worthy of assistance. read more

I am very happy with my experience with Virginia's Bridal so far! It was the very first spot I went looking for my wedding dress and for my best surprise I said "Yes to the Dress"! I didn't say "yes" at the first time just because I was a bit scared to have found the dress on my first experience but Nani, the sweetest lady, did not put any pressure on me at all and nicely suggested I would come back after a week or so to try it again, along with other options. And so we did! So in a big picture, the place is nice and clean. All the staff seems very nice and friendly, specially Nani, she is a sweetheart and always made me feel comfortable and special. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. My daughter had to buy a dress from here to be in a bridal party. They told her they needed to order her a larger size because they did not have it. My question is, if they had to order it anyway, why couldn't they order it so that it would fit properly? So, now, she had to pay for the dress, which was not cheap, AND also needs to pay for alterations, that mind you they do not offer there on the premises. WHAT?! They said they only do alterations for the bride. I'm sorry, but the bride is not your only customer. Very bad way of doing business. They should accommodate anyone who purchases a dress from them. Then they give you a list of seamstresses they use. Question, if I'm not satisfied with my experience with the Bridal Store, why would I use someone that they recommend? This review goes out to all of my curvy full figured sister brides... I originally had the most horrible experience at David's bridal as they were just trying to hide my curves. Every wedding dress that they had me try on made me feel frumpy and the customer service was terrible. I cried myself to sleep that night thinking that there is no hope. Then I was recommended Virginia bridals and I heard so many amazing things about Lulu in particular. Well, let me tell you ladies she did not disappoint. She was absolutely incredible. She listened to everything, asked all of the right questions and proceeded to pull out a handful of gorgeous dresses. The next part is going to blow your minds... She nailed it on the very first dress! I still went ahead and tried on the others just to be polite (and to continue with the great experience) but I knew right away and so did she. Went to Virginia's bridal to look for a dress for my sons wedding and was amazed at how knowledgeable the staff was. I worked with Nani and she picked a dress for me that I never would have taken off the hanger to try on. I saw a dress online that I thought would be perfect for me and tried it on, Nani said " it's ok but let's try something else. Shocked is the only word I can use to tell you how I felt. I had purchased my beautiful "designs by barbara" mother of the bride dress at Virginia's bridal in the summer , it was during a trunk show, I had specifically wanted this designer because I had worn her previously at my other daughters wedding a few years ago and her dresses are spectacular and hard to find, I met a wonderful sales person named lou lou , she was excellent and helped me patiently and understood what I was looking for , she helped me find the perfect dress that was a huge hit!!!! I had an appointment for MOG dress shopping at 11am. When my daughter and I arrived, there was no one to greet us. We walked to the back of the store and after several minutes of being ignored, a younger salesperson said she would help us. I had a list of dresses to look for, but sadly the dress company had not sent many of those I liked to the trunk show. Certainly not their fault. I found four dresses to try on, and my daughter and I went into the fitting room. The dresses were huge on me, and the salesperson had vanished. My daughter, who is in her third trimester of pregnancy, had to "clip" the extra fabric so I could get an idea of the look of the dresses. It turns out the person with whom my appointment was with, "Ellen," who was in the basement, and according to the younger salesperson, " I have no idea what she's doing." I asked if perhaps Ellen could come up since we were now fifteen minutes into my appointment time. At this point I realized that the younger salesperson actually had a bride she was helping, and had helped us despite the fact that we were not her appointment. She is the only reason for even one star. She did the best she could, but she had a customer appointment she was involved with. After about 40 minutes, Ellen emerged from the basement, and the other salesperson said, "this is your 11:00 appointment." Ellen responded, "I have to go move my car." Since I had already tried on all of the dresses I cared to, I started to get dressed. I was in the process of dressing, when the curtain flew open (without announcement) and Ellen said, "what's happening in here?" At this time her next appointment had arrived. I told her we were leaving. She started to make excuses about the lack of dresses I wanted, and we told her, we've been here for 45 minutes, and you're only helping us now? She said, "I was doing something for the boss." We replied, telling her we had an appointment at 11:00. She said, "Give me a break!" REALLY?? She literally said, "Give me a break!" Who does a project "for the boss" when there is a customer with an appointment waiting? There was no apology for leaving us alone for 45 minutes, for having my pregnant daughter adjust my dresses for me, for having absolutely no help from her (again, kind younger salesperson did the best she could considering she was in the middle of another appointment.) I would think long and hard before going to this shop. They clearly only want to take care of brides. But they've clearly forgotten that brides have families. read more

We made an appointment and was seated by a woman in a waiting area, and 5 minutes later the same woman came over to us and asked if we've been seen....Not only was the dress selection terrible, but they were big in size, dirty with makeup, and didn't have the dress we specifically went to try on and asked for ahead of time. Multiple times I was left putting myself in and out of my OWN DRESS while the consultant sat down, and even told at one point to look for dresses myself. If 0 stars were an option, that would be my choice. PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRIDAL SHOP. It APPEARS to be professional and attractive on the inside, but it is anything but that! I thought I found a great place- excitedly, I ordered my own wedding dress, my bridesmaids' dresses, and the men rented their tuxes from this place and found out the hard way how all they're really professional in is LYING. First, we can talk about me- the bride... I explained to them when being measured for a dress I fell in love with that I was hoping to lose some weight but was unsure if I would hit my goal. The girl helping me that day, Jamie, advised me to choose the size based on my goal weight and said the dress could be taken out if needed. She failed to explain how hard it is to take a dress out, and that it is a better option to go big and get the dress taken in. SO months go by, and I come for my viewing with Nani... I maintained the weight I had been before and so the dress I was ordered did not fit me. Nani panicked immediately and told me the dress could not be taken out or changed to fit me and that she would have to order another dress, and we would have to BUY ANOTHER DRESS because they do not do exchanges. She said I could fight the bridal shop about who was at fault with the size ordered for me, but I would have to prove I hadn't gained weight?!?! I came back two weeks later after doing a crash diet, and the dress was still tight but zipped up. Then my veil... I picked out the veil but wanted to order it longer and WITHOUT the blusher. Nani, acting like she was empathetic about my experience with the tight dress, said she was going to discount the veil (which ended up being BS), and not to mention when I went to put on my veil the day of the wedding, IT WAS THE WRONG ONE & IT STILL HAD A BLUSHER ON IT. Now let's talk about my alterations- Because of the construction going on at Virginia's Bridal, they were using a random tailor in Yonkers. This woman had a solution for my tight dress that Virginia's Bridal never even offered me, which was simply to lower the zipper. When I went back for my second fitting, this tailor had hemmed my dress but forgot to lower the zipper & I had to remind her. My third time back was to pick the dress up, and when I arrived, my dress was all packed and ready to go. I asked the woman if I should try the dress on, and she rushed me out saying "no no no, it's perfect". I found out the day of my wedding that she had lowered the zipper, but the hem was very poorly done, AND she didn't fix the straps or make the dress sit on me the way it was supposed to. There at multiple photos now on my wedding day of me fixing my straps and my straps falling down. They still are trying to charge me $500 for these amateur alterations. For my bridesmaids- $200 dresses, and NO ONE had a dress that fit them properly. My sister and my sister in law both got dresses FOUR AND FIVE SIZES TOO BIG. Luckily, they found seamstresses talented enough to fix this, but it was definitely at the expense of the dress because of how they had to change the lace on top. And last but not least, my husband and his men- They spent close to $300 for their tuxedo rental. First of all, what Virginia's Bridal calls a tuxedo is really a suit. We received all plain suits. Secondly, measurements were wrong on everyone... not even one of my eight guys had a proper fitting "tux". The groom and one of his guys even went back right before Nani ordered them to make sure the measurements were good for them (body builders, so it changes often). Nani told me she would get the tuxes in early to ensure we had time to change sizes if need be (early to Virginia's Bridal meant 3 days before the wedding). My groomsman that made the extra trip was the one with the WORST fitting tux! He made another last minute trip, and the replacement tux he got was just as bad. A couple of our guys had jackets missing buttons as well. So like I said, please steer clear of this place! They seem so great at first, but they are AWFUL. My wedding turned out beautiful, but this business is solely responsible for the only thing that RUINED by wedding day. read more

I am writing this review after my fitting today....so we will have to see how the rest of the process goes based on some of the other reviews here. Today was my first time ever trying on a wedding gown. I walked into Virginia's with my mom and grandma and were immediately brought into the beautiful show room. Everything is very nice and organized, and there are only a few different designers but I didn't mind since I am easily overwhelmed by too many choices. We were helped by Nani, who was wonderful and caring throughout the process. I really didn't know what I wanted, so she and I (along with my mom and grandma) picked out about 8 gowns of varying styles and went into the dressing room. Having Nani in there felt like having a mom or aunt, she clipped and placed every part of the dress as well as she could so that i could get an idea of how the dress would look once altered.Based on what I liked/didn't like she even ran out and grabbed some extra dresses for me to try on in addition. Nothing felt rushed, she was so attentive, and she wasn't even pushy in trying to make a sale when we had to leave for an appt at another salon. She asked me to let her know what I wanted to do later that afternoon. Now, my experience at the next salon was SO TERRIBLE that I left mid appointment. I felt rushed, the women didn't clamp or clip anything and made me come out into the show room holding up my own gowns wide open in the back. Not to mention there were other random people looking at bridesmaids gowns and whatnot just milling about and i had to wait to look at myself in the mirror. I felt frumpy in the dresses because the woman just kept bringing random ones to my dressing room. A mess. I immediately called Virginia's back and Nani told me to come in so she could measure me for a gown that I had fallen in love with and she was able to squeeze me in. I got my dress for my November 2016 wedding here as well as all my bridesmaid dresses. We had absolutely no issues. Great service and even better alterations. My dress had serious beading on the corset and Denise took several inches out of the back (dress was too big) and you would never know it was ever altered. Don't let bad past reviews scare you away. I almost didn't buy my dress here because I had a bad experience when it was called "Follia Bridal" with those owners but when Virginia took over .. I have NOTHING bad to say about my experience. My experience at Virginias Bridal shop began like a dream that turned into a nightmare. While I was trying on wedding dresses they were so helpful and once I decided on a dress I felt rushed to sign a contract that was not explained, nor was the return policy. Months later I called to schedule my first fitting left a voicemail which was not return. I called again a month later to schedule a fitting someone answered my call and stated I would have someone return my call to schedule to fitting. Again that called was NOT returned. I am 5"2, weigh 125 lbs, and a size 4 in jeans and dresses. I was measured and told to order a size 12 bridesmaid dress (LOLOL) for my friends upcoming wedding - Idk why I listened to them but I did. The dress came in and was HANGING off me everywhere...Length was insane, waist could have fit 2 more people, bust was enormous and the straps were falling off. They told me its $125 just to alter the length. I obviously took my dress to my own tailor, and she altered the ENTIRE thing for $85 (waist, bust, length and straps). I feel as though they force you to order a huge size, so they can make more money on alterations. read more

The bride asked for all our measurements and they all gave us 5 sizes too big. It's funny because they asked for 20 extra for bigger sizes which we didn't need in the first place. When asked to fix this they wanted more money for alterations and took no responsibility for their actions. Unprofessional! How are you gonna blame the customer for taking their measurements and getting the wrong dress??? Especially when you're already over paying for it. OMG this is the best bridal store ever!!! I wasn't even there 30 minutes and Lulu had found my dream dress (which I never would've tried on, but didn't want to take off!), headpiece, and veil! Lulu is incredible! She put me at ease on the phone and made the whole experience so fun and enjoyable -- and I NEVER feel that way shopping for clothes! She got my style and my body type right away and picked one lovely dress after another for me. And by dress #5 I'd found the one and bought it on the spot! I'm giving one star for the decor. Other than that- zero. I picked up my bridesmaid dress last week. When I first ordered it, I was going back-and-forth with the owner about what size to order. According to the designer of the dress, the size I needed was about four sizes bigger than I normally wear. The owner said she needed to go by designer measurements. So I figured she knew best. I was almost in tears when I tried on my dress. It was so big that I can take it on and off fully zipped still wearing my jeans. She really didn't seem too concerned. The seamstress came in and said oh no it's fine we just need to shorten it. I pulled it over my head like a sweatshirt. I had asked the owner if she had ordered from this particular designer before and she said yes so I said why didn't she realize how big the dress ran? She said the best she could do was charge me $100 for the alterations (which are normally $135). I looked at her in disbelief and said I'll get it done elsewhere. She just shrugged and said if you change your mind you can come back. No way! It's a shame because I am getting married this year (which she knew )and I had said I would come back for my dress and my maid of honor. Forget it. Also I am a hairdresser and I do brides all the time I could've sent her so much business!!! Now I will give my honest opinion to any bride that asks! So disappointing... read more

If you appreciate good customer service, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER Virginia's Bridal. I repeat, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. I have never left a review before but the way that Vincent Saladino and Virginia handled mine and the rest of our bridal parties situation was appalling. No one should have to experience the lack of empathy and disgusting selfishness displayed by the partners of this business. The bridal party and I purchased our bridesmaids dresses at the end of February, and called to cancel the order in mid-March due to non-covid related extreme health circumstances of the groom, as well as Covid related job loss for both the bride and the groom. Naturally, the wedding had been cancelled due to these awful circumstances, and the response we got from them was disgusting. They were unwilling to provide a refund for the dresses that have yet to even begin being manufactured. After much back and forth with the bride and maid-of-honor they were only willing to provide us a return of less than 25% of the dress cost. Meanwhile, we were charged full price for the dresses upon purchase, when the contract we were given stated that we should have only been charged 60% until final fitting. When we brought this up to Vincent, he advised us that that was a bridal contract and it was referring to bridal dresses only "not bridesmaids", which makes the contract null-and-void behind that we were not brides and should have been given a contract that specifically states the terms of bridesmaids dresses. We found this unwillingness to refund us ridiculous being that they would be able to resell all of the dresses we ordered since they were entirely unaltered. Vincent told us that the reason he would not refund us was because "no one else would want the dresses that we ordered and he did not want them on his rack". However, the dresses were still not even manufactured and if they were, they would have arrived in factory sizing, not even having been altered yet. In the same conversation, Vincent was asked to call the dress designer and cancel the order through them, to which he said "they would not be willing to cancel" and said he would try "but there's no way they will do it". He then told us to try to call them and get it cancelled ourselves, and if the company said yes, then he would refund us the money. However, when we called, we were advised by the customer service representative that they would be "more than happy to cancel the dress orders, however the distributor (Virginia's Bridal) would have to call and speak to the owners of the company themselves, because they can not deal with the customer directly". We continued to go back and forth with Vincent and Virginia as they continued to be unwilling to call and cancel the dresses. Upon one of our last attempts and the moment that we had directly heard that they could absolutely cancel the orders with the owner, we spoke to Virginia. She had previously not been taking our calls but once we finally got in touch with her we advised her of all the games that her partner, Vincent, was playing. She was apologetic of the situation but conveniently there was "nothing more she could do" being that the dresses had already being shipped to out from the designer to her shop. The story goes on, and the games continued to be played. Ultimately, we decided to dispute the charges with our credit card companies. Once we began the dispute, Vincent decided to ship the unaltered, no longer desired dresses that he claimed would stay on his rack, to all of our home addresses. These dresses will be returned. Vincent and Virginia are unprofessional, selfish, and insulting business owners. I hope that no bride or bridal party ever experiences the terrible service that they provide. Every bride deserves to have a positive wedding experience, and in conjunction with all that the world has thrown at 2020 brides, on top of the health issues faced by the groom in this situation, you would think that any humane person would be supportive and kind. read more

Went there yesterday for a mother of the groom dress. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Spotless, very large selection. I can not say enough about Nani the Bridal Consultant. Her expertise was amazing she knew exactly what was right for my figure and found me the perfect dress. My experience was beyond amazing and I would highly recommend this place. I am not one to give bad reviews, but please be warned before going here. I would have given Virginia's no stars, except for the fact that the staff was nice and very friendly. However, that did not make up for how disorganized this bridal shop is. I had multiple ( at least 3 or 4) issues throughout the process of getting a bridesmaids dress from here. Four out of six bridesmaids had issues ranging from mixing up the girls dresses after the first fitting, to not having things ready on time, to them ordering the wrong size, to pen marks on the dress, and last but not least one bridesmaids having to take the floor model of the picked dress. This added multiple inconvenient trips to the shop. I wish this was not so, as they have a great selection. If you want a non stressful experience and an organized staff, this is not the right place for you! read more

From the minute that I walked into Virginia's Bridal, I was impressed. It was beautiful, super clean and elegant. I had been to a handful of other places to try on dresses and this was by far the best. The Bridal Consultant- Nani- is wonderful! She was patient and shared her expertise and helped me find my gorgeous wedding dress. She is professional and very knowledgeable and brought my vision to life! Nani was so helpful in helping me select the dress of my dreams. She was honest and knew how to select the best dress for my body type. I came into the store having already purchased a dress elsewhere just planning on browsing as I was unsure if it was the right dress. Horrible experience! I received a phone call from Virginia's bridal saying that my dress was in . I went to try my dress on everything fit great looked great unfortunately I made the mistake of leaving my gown with them trusting it would be in good hands - I call to know when I can get my alterations just to find out that they were closed down and in the process of relocating ! Mind you I never received a phone call from anyone letting me know that my dress would be at another location ! I called numerous amounts of times no answer- I decide to email them and finally I get a response . I went to pick my dress up and dropped it off to my tailor come to find out the original dress I tried on at store was swapped with a sample dress it had damage/ beads were missing the loops on back of corset where buttons attach were broken / stretched out ! I am now stuck with a sample dress not the dress I purchased - DO NOT PURCHASE A DRESS FROM THIS BRIDAL SHOP ! Dishonest ! read more

Virginia Bridal store has great dresses for brides and guests. I selected a dress online and made my order with the store. I ordered my dress with Nani who was very helpful and she suggested a bigger size than the size I requested. I agreed because I know that she is very experienced and have ordered many similar dresses before. I am so thankful for her that I agreed to order a bigger size because the dress fit me just perfect. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Absolutely awful. Was part of a bridal party and we all had to buy our dresses and get alterations done. We were looking to get our alterations and they've done nothing but rip us off and give us the run around and a hard time about things. We paid over $300/dress for these dresses, and they did a half ass job on 2 of the dresses being altered(which one of them they dared to charge 200 for a simple fix!!). Then they refused to do the other 3 dresses and tried to hand them off to another business without telling the bride! I picked mine up to bring elsewhere, but that is complete unprofessional behavior. I don't understand how they are in business. We are all completely appalled by them and wish we never gave them the business to begin with. None of us will be recommending this place to anybody. read more
