RIPOFF! We hired bug squad to do wood repair after termite tenting. Andi also said they would fix a leak in our roof. not only did they do a terrible job (see pictures), when they sent another guy out to fix it, the second guy just plastered over the botched work and made it worse. The third guy came out and removed the ugly job but has now left our ridge beam exposed with no tiles whatsoever. We have repeatedly asked them to come and finish the job and it's been over a week with no-show and no contact. We don't trust them at this point and forced to fight to get our $3000 back. I've used POW! twice before with good results. This year, to get rid of my ants I obviously called them again. The price has gone up (which is fair) and they do spray the whole house for that price. However, I pointed out the problem area in my kitchen, and the very next day I had more ants than before. I waited a few days to see if the chemicals would take some time to work, but the ants kept coming. So I called back to see if they'd come out to just spray the one area of my kitchen that I pointed out originally as the problem area to get rid of the ants. They would, for a fee (and not a low one). Having to pay one-third of the total initial price of the whole house to have them come back and spray ONE area and actually eliminate the problem for a repeat customer is not good service IMO. It should have just been done right the first time. I'm disappointed in the company. I will look elsewhere in the future I guess. Vis-a-Vis the reply: I appreciate the reply and acknowledge that I was offered a discount on the follow-up service. However, as a customer, having never needed the follow-up service before in 2018, 2020, and 2022, it is disappointing that the first service this time around somehow didn't measure up to previous ones. I had far fewer ants this year and just wanted to get ahead of it. That I need to pay extra for a follow-up I have never needed before (given the amount of ants was way less this year) just does not sit well with me. read more

The inspector showed up WAY past the time frame he gave me without even calling to let me know he was running behind. And to top it off, they missed the fact that I had subterranean termites in the property I purchased and cost me thousands of dollars in potential credits due to the fact that I went off their report to negotiate during escrow. I had three other companies inspect my property after closing and they were way more professional and thorough. I hired Bug Squad to repair/replace all crawl space vents under my house less than one year ago, and massively overpaid for the service at the time. what took their technician approx 90 minutes was advertised to be a full day job, and I was charged $1000. (I wish I could get paid at that rate). Well, now I know how the guy finished so quickly, he didn't do the job he was sent out to do... A skunk got in under my house and sprayed. I called Bug Squad back several times and asked if they could close the vent and check for any living or dead animals. I was hung up on, transferred to the cell phones of techs in the field who had no idea what I was talking about, and generally ignored. The second guy came out, looked at it, gave us a quote then said they could do in 30 minutes, I asked for the quote in writing and they said their office would get back to us (and we never heard from them). Called POW! Exterminating. Andrew came out, looked at the problem, also found another spot on the other side of the house. Andy ( company owner) replied right away to my request early on a Sunday morning to help remove pigeons and a pigeon nest in my roof eave and put up a barrier so they wouldn't return. That was my first positive impression. Who replies on a Sunday morning ?!! Andy personally came to check out the situation and gave me an estimate at no cost. I'd received other quotes for the same job with much higher prices and more "necessary" work which I felt were beyond necessary. He sent one of his crew, Javier, to take care of the situation. He removed the nest, power washed the eave as well as my roof and entire driveway where there was more pigeon droppings. Javier put up a barrier using bird netting almost invisible to the eye.
