We have been using Pouch Self Storage in Pasadena for our business for years. Paul, Vina and Linda are always so friendly and professional. Recently we were renovating our office so I was going multiple times a week. They always welcomed me and were so accommodating to our moving trucks and our comings and goings. They are also really easy communicate with and always inform us of anything upcoming clearly and with plenty of time. Easy to get a storage place of your choice good size everything is first floor so you can drive right up and drop off your items very friendly staff. I like the security that they hold onto your key and they have certain hours of business so no one else is around your storage unit. And it's local. This place has staff who control entrance/exit. They are all very friendly and responsible. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a storage unit. The only problem I encountered was their refund policy. The security protocols are excellent, the space is clean and we feel secure that our items are safe from theft and weather damage. This is absolutely the place to go for your storage needs! Linda is terrific, so is Paul; everybody on staff goes out of their way to meet your circumstances. At a time where several other life decisions were unclear, having a safe, reliable, clean and economically reasonable place to keep my things simply gave me much-needed peace of mind. The storage units are clean, the property immaculate, even the bathroom is spotless. Everything works, which is what you want from a storage company. Now, even the doors have been replaced on all the units, making it both more secure and easier to use. The units are very well kept. I do worry about the ceiling/roofs in the storage though. If they start leaking, bye bye stuff. I don't know why people in the neighborhood don't know about this storage place. I used them for over 2 years until I moved out of the neighborhood. During the time I was using their service, I had absolutely no complaints at all. The place is clean, people work at the office are always friendly. I like how they keep your key and you just need to enter a passcode to authenticate yourself. I used electronic payment so I never have to worry about it. They have garbage bin so I can easily throw away things I don't need when I clean up or when I move out. Highly recommend this place. read more

After extensive shopping around for long term and accessible storage, we went to Pouch, and remained as customers from 1998 until 2013, when we built our own storage space as part of a larger project at home. As an attorney of many years who needs to store many papers safely for a long time, and as a lawyer who's had to deal with disputes regarding storage spaces, and as homeowners/artist/musician with too much gear and family schtuff we can't get rid of, we selected Pouch for it's security, safety, ease of access, location and price. A bonus here are the smart, friendly and cooperative people who run the space. Sure, their contract has it's share of lawyerly drivel, no different from others, and yes, dirt gathers wherever wind will go, but if you want safe, secure and accessible storage in Pasadena, this is the best choice in Pasadena! read more

I have used the Pouch twice now, and I have nothing but great things to say. I needed storage for about 3 years, and my coworker referred me there. Lucky him - he got a referral bonus, which was a discount on a month's rent. The service and ease of use to my storage was just perfect at this place. It's all one-level and you have quick access to your unit. No climbing up stairs or going down long hallways like other storage units. I actually enjoyed going there each time I needed something! And visiting with employees Clarence and Brandi each time - it was nice to catch up. I also recommended the Pouch to another coworker, and she used them for a year and was quite pleased as well. After three years, I didn't need storage, and I left for a year, but then I was back again! It was just like old times. I can't say enough about this place and the service and degree of care. I recently vacated as I no longer need storage, and I'll miss the frequent visits. It was kind of sad to say bye. If I need storage again, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommend the Pouch! I have used a few self-storage places. This one is clean and secure. It has both the advantage and disadvantage that the lock and key are provided by the location; I don't think it's very easy to get in/out - you have to sign out the key to the unit - and there are "closed" times. Overall, the people are helpful and the space is a good one. The names of the rows of storage units is pretty adorable. read more

I've rented many storage units over the years, and Pouch in Pasadena is by far the best one. The prices are competitive, or better than all the others. The whole place is very clean. The hours are reasonable. I like how they hold onto the key. When you check in the unit is unlocked; when you check out your storage unit is locked. This is very important to me as I experienced a break-in at another company's storage in the past (NOT Pouch). When you move in, they will transport your stuff in their 3-ton cube truck. I have not seen that deal elsewhere. Also, they have a shredding service, which I've used several times. All the units are conveniently accessible by car. The buildings are made of wood and plaster, not metal, which helps maintain a more consistent temperature. I have found that the metal storage places become ovens in the summer and leak when it rains. In the two years I've rented from Pouch I have not noticed any leaks. But the BEST part is the staff. I love the people who work there - Brandy & Clarence. They know us and we know them. We always stop to chat with them when we sign in. I completely trust them. Out of all the storage facilities in Pasadena, Pouch, by far, out prices and out classes the rest!!! They even helped me move outta my old space and into theirs, for free!!! It was just OK. Convenient location, nice to be able to drive up to the unit, and nice that they send a truck to help you move your stuff in, for free. However, outdoor units collect dirt. And this particular place has a LOT of obnoxious rules and regulations, and a WHOLE LOT of legal cr@p in the agreement. Their lawyers are working overtime to come up with every possible term in their favor. I'm a lawyer.....I'm used to that....but this was over the top. During a period of transition in my life, my household was in storage here. I anticipated being here only a year or so and it stretched to more like six years. The employees were great and access was great. I felt safe going to my unit knowing that they kept tabs on who entered the property and accessed the units. I have since moved out of the area and still find I have to use a storage unit. The one I chose is closer to me and operated quite differently. I hate going to the newer one because it doesn't feel safe. I miss Pouch and the team, Brandi and Clarence and folks, who were always friendly, even when I was dealing with them long-distance from Texas. My one sore spot, shortly after I first moved in, my rates went up. I was surprised that they raised fees before I had been there even six months. In the last two years, the rates went up each year. But overall, for security and access, they were great. read more
