My sandwich was purchased for me on a recent visit so I did not get the full experience. It tasted fine although the ingredients tended to blend together and I could not tell exactly what kind of meat I was eating. And after all isn't it the star of the sandwich, bread was good, condiments and add ons good too. But for the price it should have been great not just good. read more

First timer and as someone who goes to Panera Bread and all those Franchise sub shops. This is my top 5 just for the sandwich. Ordered a grilled chicken with lettuce tomato & avocado and to me it's a hearty sandwich compared to Panera and Firehouse . The mac&cheese is stick with Paneras those. I love potbelly's sandwiches, It's been a family dinner staple forever! However this location is hot for miss for me. I've been here multiple times and sometimes it's great other times it horrible. I always get a wreck everything on it. A few times I've had the peppers be completely left off or other ingredients missing. The issues seem to only be when placing mobile orders. If you're craving a sandwich I'd recommend going inside instead of mobile ordering! read more

For my first time being here I would say it was good. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was good. I didnt know where to order my sandwich and felt like I got yelled at that im supposed to order at the other line. Really need better people working here. theres no excuse ignoring people coming in or not looking up to help if someone looks lost/confused. There is zero customer service, no hello, no eye contact. This is a great place to get a sandwich as they have a variety of sandwiches to get for a good a price. They don't charge very much either if you want to add a pickle or avocado to your sandwich. I love how it's made fresh right in front of you. The sandwiches are made quickly which is great so you don't have to wait long to eat. My go to is the turkey club as I love bacon. They give you a lot of meat in your sandwich and it fills me up. I always look forward to eating here and grabbing a quick bite to eat. read more

Not a bad sandwich shop. For my first sandwich I got the A Wreck signature sandwich. I was thankful they allowed me to switch the cheese from Swiss, but was disappointed they didn't have pepper jack or American cheese. The sandwich was toasted and although they have a decent selection of toppings it's probably half of what Subway has. If you like spicy you must try the hot peppers! Overall, satisfied and would lean for Potbelly over Jimmy Johns. But the lacking cheese and topping options was a let down. read more

I loved the sandwich itself, very hearty with great steak meat and other condiments. Also, have to love the $1 HUGE pickle. Yummy. However, the line can be confusing. This Potbelly's is right by the Illinois State University campus. If you have ever been to a Potbelly's before, this is just like the others. It shares a building with Noodles and Company as you can tell from the sign out front. I have been trying to eat more vegeterian options when I can and this is one place where I pick the veggie. I've found that after all of the toppings, I can't tell the difference between a turkey and veggie sandwich anyway. You'll want to avoid the veggie if you dislike mushrooms though, because that's the "meat" of the sandwich. If you're ever having a lunch meeting and would like to order some food, I'd recommend checking out the options Potbelly's. I can't remember exactly what it costs, but you can order a case of sandwiches (like an upscale Whitecastle) along with cookies, sides, etc. read more

This is the first time that I have ever been to Normal Illinois. I wanted a submarine sandwich so we gave it a try. customer service at this store was beyond unsatisfactory. No sign to tell you where to order where to pick up where to pay. The person looked like a manager grabbed signs off counters without saying excuse me. My daughter-in-law got a hair in her food. None of the makers of the sandwiches were wearing hair nets. The lemonade and the coke were both out, we ended up just getting water out of the machine for an overly priced meal. The sandwich makers did not make eye contact and sid not have any customer service welcoming skills. The the person that took my $100 bill from me did not count $84 and change back. Love this place. Mobile app pickup orders are so fast and its my go to place for lunch when I go in the office. Usually I'll order the wreck with nearly everything on it, but sometimes I'll opt for the italian. I've had all the soups which are kept hot even for togo orders. Thanks for all you do! read more

This place literally forgets to put meat on your sandwich. It happened once and I was pretty chill about it. then it happened again. Not chill about it. Upon hitting "submit", I assumed this would be a train wreck for the store. We were all pleasantly surprised to receive everything correctly, and HOT! By far my favorite sandwich from a chain. The wreck is the best option. They now offer Mac n cheese now, which is actually really good. Plus you can get double bacon on it as a topping, which just sounds fun (it tastes fun, too). Definitely a great place to stop for lunch. They also have live music from time to time, and it has always been good that I have noticed. The staff is great here, too, and they guarantee that you go through the line in less than 7 minutes, so if you're on a time crunch this is the place for you. read more

Not my first visit to a Potbelly, and I'm still not really impressed. Sandwich selection is limited, as are the veggies you can put on it. The price is comparable to Subway. The atmosphere is great and the service is friendly. This is located near the colleges and a big apartment complex that caters to students. So the decor caters to the colleges as well, with college logos on tables and walls. Parking is extremely limited; it shares a lot with a Noodles & Company in the same building. Obviously designed for a walk-in student crowd. Nothing bad, just not outstanding. read more

The bread was mega dry, and despite having several different meats on the sandwich, they skimped so much all I tasted was Mayo and lettuce. writing this review is making me hungry... if you like a toasted sub, skip Quizno's and hit up Potbelly's. Either location and you'll get the same amazing Potbelly sandwich. Both parking lots suck so you'll have to deal, but top sandwiches to recommend are the Italian and the Wreck. Amazing flavor, great ingredients and who doesn't love toasted bread and melted cheese. If you still want to keep your New Year's resolution then you can get your sandwich Skinny... less bread, less cheese. But if you want to make the resolution crowd jealous then get it BIG. Pretty much double everything. The Oreo Shake is totally worth it since they give you mini oreo cookies with it. And grab a bag of kettle chips... regular style pairs great with a sandwich. Potbelly's also has the best selection of canned, bottled, plastic'd drinks aside from your typical fountain drinks. So if you prefer your Root Beer in a bottle, wish granted. read more

My kids and I came from California to visit family in B-N recently. We stopped at this Potbelly to get sandwiches to take to the pool. Because we were unfamiliar with the Potbelly chain, we didn't realize that the sandwiches were automatically toasted. We received our sandwiches and when I mentioned I had wanted a cold sandwich, the manager quickly and in a friendly, offered to make us new ones!
