Three of us saw the reviews on Fusion Crunch and decided to give it a try. The reviews were spot on....this place is great and didn't disappoint. We arrived in the late afternoon for an early dinner. We were seated quickly, clean tables pleasant atmosphere and fun surroundings. We started with the vegetable samosas. We received three....fresh and hot out or the fryer.....took a few minutes to be able to handle. They were fantastic accompanied with a light and flavorful dipping sauce. Our food order consisted of an order of Birria Tacos, Afghani Chicken and a Ramen Bowl with chicken. As you can see from the pictures of each dish.....the presentation is pure art. The portions were large enough for us to share. Absolutely flavorful and no one ingredient over taking another.....pure masterful cooking. This is the noodle bowl. Kind of disappointed--wanted to like this. Presentation excellent. Staff kind and attentive. Broth overly salty with sweetness. Somewhat satisfying but not the hype everyone is saying unless your taste buds are already geared for high salt. Little Saigon in Springfield, IL would be worth a trip to compare. Highly recommend eating here! The food is awesome and the owner (assuming she was the owner) was friendly and helpful. I got the Afgani chicken. It had a wonderful flavor. The chicken was cut into bite sized chunks and marinated/cooked in sauce. It was served over rice with naan, chips and lettuce on side plus a small dish of extra sauce. My husband got something called Korma/ Royal Indian Gravy(?) which was chicken tikki masala but not spicy. It was also delicious. Based on the reviews, we tried it...and hey Mikey, we liked it! I had the Korean BBQ Chicken. Right level of sweet and spicy plus good rice, naan and chips made for a filling meal. G had the Birra tacos - a lot of food and it was good as well. Nice atmosphere and attentive service made it a great experience. Note: construction immediately in front of the restaurant may dissuaded you from trying it. It is open but be careful walking over the temp sidewalks. Had lunch here today and simply cannot recommend eating here. I asked the waiter about a very specific ingredient in a certain dish. He returned a few minutes later to tell me that the particular ingredient wasn't in the dish I asked about. I was surprised but went ahead and ordered the dish. When it arrived I asked about what the sauce was (homemade ranch) and only then did I find out the ingredient I had specifically asked about was in every single one of my foods that had been served! It turns out when you ask about ingredients they assume it's for taste and not intolerance or an allergy. I was told multiple times that she thought I just didn't like the taste of that ingredient and thus told me incorrect information. It's mind boggling to me! The manager continued to have the same conversation with me multiple times - starting by apologizing, then giving multiple excuses for their lie. The best part was the last conversation, when she admonished me for not telling them about my allergy. I literally asked about the specific ingredient for a reason! They never clarified if my question was due to an allergy, intolerance, or a dislike. I explained that it is scary as a customer that I just wasn't taken seriously. I have never been treated so poorly as someone who cannot intake certain foods and it's unfortunate a restaurant was so careless. read more

Well damn. This place was incredible. When we looked at the menu beforehand it was a little overwhelming - do all of these things go together? The answer is yes, yes they do. Afghani chicken was out of this world - the sauce was plentiful and creamy. The Malaysian quesadillas with homemade ranch were out of this world. The shell was so crisp and flaky. Different, unique, fantastic. I had the hash brown tostada. It was like nothing I've ever had before and it was fabulous. My wife had the falafel burger and really enjoyed it. I have had the poutine here right around when they first had opened. I found it to be an alright thing, but since it was delivered to me it was not as fresh as I'd hoped. I then finally went back and ordered it again and went to do it for pick-up. It tasted a lot better and fresh then. I'd say for sure the staff are friendly, the place is clean, and so is the restroom. As others said, the portions are a good decent size, so give it a big plus for that. This was our first time to Fusion Crunch located on Main Street in Bloomington. The restaurant is small, but had adequate seating and simply decorated. They supply a printed menu, but you scan a code to order your food which was ok, but you also have to pay before receiving your order. Personally, I don't like paying before the food is served, but other establishments do the same that we have visited. They do bring food to the table and clear it after dining. We both had burgers which come with a large helping of fries. The burgers were fresh, thick and juicy. We also had an order of onion rings and bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. Onion rings were a good size to share, taste was good but think the frying oil made needed refreshing. The four large poppers were plenty for both. The sauces served were good and tasty. We both had soft drinks, so next time we might try a milk shake. Prices were ok since the burgers came with fries. The sides are priced accordingly which added to our bill. We will probably return to try a different item from the menu. read more
