This delicious ramen bowl perfectly hit the spot to warm me up on this extremely cold day! Everything in it had amazing flavor, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the chicken was nice and tender. I ate this whole thing up I loved it so much. I also got the grape soda and it was so bussin but it's not purple in case anyone is expecting it to be purple. The service was wonderful it was fast and they were all very kind! Also I loved the music they played they had some Chappell Roan and it was at a good volume too. Loved the decorations too! Wonderful ramen spot right in a prime location on green street. I'll def be coming back!

Ordered tonkotsu ramen, black tonkotsu ramen, takoyaki, and chicken karaage. Both ramen had nice smoky aroma with solid toppings. Broth was rich without being greasy. Noodles cooked al dente like we like. Takoyaki were crispy on the outside and luscious inside with big katsuobushi flakes atop. Chicken karaage were tasty and crispy. Overall tasty food and good execution. Attentive service and nice interior. Also, they had my fave drink. Woohoo.

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. Broth could use the slightest bit more of flavor the pork flavor is not as strong as I usually prefer, and the pork is unbalanced, certain bits are very or overly seasoned and others are completely bland . Egg taste very good and the noodles have a good texture, the entire dish has slight hints of garlic which is very appreciated, and I am unsure if the red stuff above is saffron or not but it is a nice addition to the flavor. With a slight bit more of consistency this could very well be an outstanding dish. Service was great and attentive, and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance and atmosphere.

I ordered a Chicken Karaage and a Shoyu (if I remember them correctly). I think they were too salty...I used to be the type of person who drinks all the soup when having Ramen, but this time I failed to do it. The chicken was too salty as well, which made me wanna drink water so badly after having this meal. And the quantities were not so much. Though the dining environment and the service were both satisfactory, I would probably not go there for another try in the future.

I've been going to this place for months for miso ramen and absolutely love it!! 100% recommend! They have bento boxes as well!

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. Broth could use the slightest bit more of flavor the pork flavor is not as strong as I usually prefer, and the pork is unbalanced, certain bits are very or overly seasoned and others are completely bland . Egg taste very good and the noodles have a good texture, the entire dish has slight hints of garlic which is very appreciated, and I am unsure if the red stuff above is saffron or not but it is a nice addition to the flavor. Had the spicy pork miso. Very lackluster flavor as a couple other reviews described as well. Broth seemed very dull and not much flavor. Noodles did not see like Japanese Ramen noodles. More like pho style noodles; and also like store bought quality. 1 star bump up for the pork. The pork belly was awesome and cooked/flavored perfectly. Food was under seasoned. We got don katsu curry, katsu don, and chicken karaage. The karaage was not very crispy. The curry was watery. The pork was cold in the edges although crispy fried which doesn't rly make sense. Vibe was good, gave off the culture well. Staff was nice just food didn't rly resonate. We were visiting UIUC recently, and decided to go here for lunch. The food was absolutely amazing. There is a great deal of variety on the menu. The staff were all great - courteous, and really made us feel welcome. The restaurant had a low-key, comfortable vibe to it, and if that weren't enough, the prices were very reasonable. This is easily one of my all-time favorite places, and I would go out of my way just to eat here again. On top of all that, it was raining hard when we were leaving, and our server offered an umbrella to us. I used it to get to my car, and then drove back to pick up the rest of my family, and returned the umbrella - hopefully someone else may need it in the future. :-) read more

Great service and a chill interior, but the ramen and chicken left a lot to be desired. The shoyu broth was salty and bland, had an over cooked egg, and the chashu was rubbery and poorly cooked. Karage breading was super soft and soggy. The water was awesome though. Overall good vibes but poor food. read more

However, the quality of food here does not seem to justify the price point set at Ko Fusion. The menu reflects the fusion aspect of the restaurant. Ko Fusion offers an entire Japanese sushi menu, along with various stir fries, curries, ramen and even Korean BBQ on certain nights. From the multiple visits I have had here, I would not say that they stand at the top in any cuisine, the food is relatively average. First things first, paying over $20 for a single sushi roll is one of my least favorite dining experiences out there. With restaurants charging a little more for an all you can eat experience or even doing buy one get one deals, the sushi roll has to be really, really good to make it worth it. I did not feel that way here at Ko Fusion. In fact, I felt that Flaming Phoenix Roll was good at best and when I finished, I was still starving. I do think there is an effort to import quality ingredients and do a nice job with presentation, but I was definitely not satisfied. On my next visit, I wanted to order a dish as it would hopefully fill me up more. I ordered their Bul Go Kee and at $32 dollars, I was really was hoping it would be a standout dish. The food was alright, but again, could not justify the price point set for the dish. Not only that, I am looking back on the menu and realize that I never got the lettuce wrap portion of the meal. The beef itself had some decent flavor and was tender, so it at least wasn't a bad dish. I just was left feeling like I did not get my money's worth. Would I recommend this place for nicer occasions? I guess so. However, I would go so far to make this your go-to Japanese or Korean spot, places that specialize in those cuisines would likely give you a better bang for your buck.

I've ordered bento bowls, several different varieties of the ramen bowls, and I never got a bad or undercooked item. Everything has been hot and well seasoned. It's like a warm deep down hug, when you're all alone because you literally are all alone when your spouse suddenly passes away just before Christmas last year. Food is quick to arrive from GrubHub. Walked in and were instantly greeted with a big smile and a clean table. Staff was welcoming, food arrived promptly, and drinks were served chilled with ice cups. Got the lunch special to go for Tuesday. Shio Ramen. $12 plus tax. Very impressed with ramen presentation and food quality. Will come back!
