Go here for quick Korean food that hits the spotThe portions are really big and this meal felt very homey and nice!!

The only reason this is not 1 star is because they do have a large serving. And the tuna triangle kimbap/onigiri was decent. This is i think the second time i ordered here, the first one my review is below. This time i ordered kimchi fried rice with spam as well as the onigiri. The onigiri was decent i like the taste, might order again but i wouldn't say its the best. The kimchi fried rice on the other hand was bland. Like idk where all the great reviews are coming from. Its like they didnt put any seasonings at all. Looks ok from the photos but dont let it fool you. Compared to other kimchi fried rice(san maru--the best) where you can really taste the KIMCHI part as well. This one had barely any taste on it. Had to mix it with my own seasonings to eat it. I dont think im gonna give it a third chance. Review on doordash from 07/2022: Rabokki was bland even with the added cheese. Like there was no salt at all. On the other hand, the spicy pork kimchi dupbap and the tuna kimbap was really good!! If i only ordered the latter then it wouldn't been a 4.5 stars

    Bulgogi and kalbi

Came Here during the week for early lunch as I was in town for work. The menu although heavily Korean has latin and other asian infuences and offerings. Here like other green st businesses there is no parking and you have to find it somewhere nearby, pay ridiculous rates and then walk to the resto. You order at a counter and wait for your number to be called and you pick up your tray. Great thing is that the food is made to order and fresh and hot once you take a bite. The portions are fair but on the smaller side considering that kalbi was $22. That price competes with big city restos whose portions feed four and not 1 or two people. The bulgogi was super dry which we were not used to. I am not sure if i would come back as there are soooooo many other korean restos within blocks of this place.

What a nice Christmas insect! I just order a beef bone soup, and it becomes the most surprising seconds in my life.

Restaurant review Slowly this has become my go to Korean restaurant based on the cleanliness, portions, and taste of the food. They have a menu that is the Korean Mexican fusion. I have tried the korean burrito with beef bulgogi. It is more sweet than savory compared to a traditional mexican burrito. Unfortunately I think I still prefer the latter. I believe that there highlight is in the traditional Korean dishes. The Budae Jigae has a mixture of everything from spam, pepperoni, ham, and noodles. Another highlight would be the stone bowl bi-bim-bap that comes out piping hot. Overall, they have solid korean food at great prices and it is located right at the start of green street. Pros: good prices, large korean food selection, fast service Cons: a touch of MSG is likely in some of the food as you get that thirst after eating here. Maybe difficult to find parking. Hidden deals: 1 dollar taco Tuesday and Thursday from 2-5 pm Self busing of trays so no need to tip Health code rating: B. Clean, open kitchen area. http://il.healthinspections.us/champaign/estab.cfm?facilityID=1584

Ordered delivery from here and got 4 dishes: spicy squid, spicy pork, and 2 bibimbaps. They were all delicious. The ratio of veggies, rice, and meat on the bibimbaps was perfect. The spicy squid and pork were also delectable. I especially enjoyed the noodles and rice cakes that came with the squid, which were cooked to perfection. This restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars.

    Doenjang Jjigae with Kimbap

There are numerous korean restaurants in Champaign, but this one is conveniently located along Green St. on campus. I've been here only a handful of times, but overall I think it is okay. I ordered Doenjang Jjigae last night for dinner and the vegetables were a little bit overcooked, and the kimbap ingredients didn't taste as fresh as I would've hoped. Pricing is also a little bit more expensive than other options like Bab Plus.

If you feel like spooning with your friends, you should try doing so here... Or not. Anyway, they got a good mix of Korean items. I tried out the bulgogi and it was painfully average when you have to pay $12 for a meal.

Get the gochujang glazed chicken or dup bap. Very convenient campus location for students.

Spoon House is a great Korean spot on Green St! I recommend the spicy tuna kimbap or the spicy pork which comes out sizzling hot.
