    Vegetarian ramen and rangoons

Great lunch spot!! Love the spiciness levels and the rangoons. A little pricey, but good portion sizes. Also love that they have vegetarian and vegan options.

Amazing surprise Asian cuisine in the VFD, it is no fully authentic Japanese noodle shop but us foodie kids couldn't complain. The flavor profiles, variety, quality, and textures all win. They sadly were somehow out of the pork belly which put us trying the other ramen. Tater tots, sticky pork bun, and pot stickers added on, us five were very happy with the speed and portions. All was fresh and too easy to eat! Can highly recommend despite the full interior, once they have their own space this is a new must go!

The hubby wanted to try this noodle place. We had a difficult time finding the place because it's located IN the VFW! There is a poster like sign on a fence in front of the VFW, but we obviously were not expecting that kind of sign. We had to call the place. We came in, and sure enough, it's in the VFW dining area. We go to order and they did have a professional menu displayed on the wall. The food was delicious and plentiful. The prices were right for how much you get. As for the ambiance? It's not a restaurant. It's a 70's VFW hall. I give them full credit for the effort. They did bring the food to our table. It's really a counter service type of business. I think we will order to go next time.

The food was great so flavorful, inside was very large and clean, the service was great didn't take long at all and everyone was very friendly and polite.

Went for lunch around 12:45. First time trying this place, read yelp reviews so let's go!. Placed our food order than trued to find a clean table, no luck so I got napkins and cleaned one myself. I ordered the pear salad and pork egg roll , husband the blade runner special. The egg roll was dry and tasteless. The pear salad was full of kale, I was expecting some more mixed green. The blander runner spice was spot on, he asked for hot.It was supposed to have roasted chicken, two pieces of chicken. When we left I made sure the table was clean. Maybe some of the people in the kitchen on their phones could grab a rag and clean.

Delicious food! Great employees and very chill environment inside the VFW. If you have not been here and are looking for a good ramen/soup place, I 100% recommend!! Only reason it did not give a 5/5 is because the noodles were all stuck together. Easy fix by breaking up with your fork and knife.

This has been my go to place as of late. Great food, service. This is a hidden gem in BloNo! Highly recommend this place. The ramen here is amazing as well.

Worth the search! Yes it IS inside the VFW! We had pork belly (we like spice to 1/2 spice was the minimum level we will get next time), pot stickers and cucumber slaw. We love ramen so much at our house we've learned to cook our own recipes but this is better!

Been wanting to try this place since it opened, as I work down the street. Absolutely amazing food!!! Everyone was very nice, and the service was fast. It is in the VFW, which clearly some people on here did not realize before trying, so the ambiance isn't really there. But with food this good I honestly don't even care! If you like asian food, give this place a try!!

10/10 stars. Best ramen in town!! Maybe even out of town - I've had lots of different ramen in my lifetime. Food is just incredible. Service is great. Ample seating. Just wish they were open later...

I had been craving ramen. Okinawa is my go to place. I love their ramen…read more I live in the country out by Springbay, so its a bit of distance to go there. About 40 miles round trip. I ordered 2 ramen bowls to go. They put the wrong broth in the order. One was correct, the other not .By the time I found this out, I was home, they were closed. And didn't answer the phone at 810. Since I had never had a problem with them before, I assumed that I would call them this morning to straighten it out.. Big mistake. I was told that since I couldn't prove this there would be no refund nor any redo. I am terribly disappointed in their customer service. The food is good, but I don't always go by this. If I am going to spend $20 on a bowl of soup, I expect it to be what I ordered. If it isn't. I expect it to be made correctly. Please enjoy the $40 dollars you got from me yesterday. It's the last money you will see from me.

Was hungry today, but not too hungry, so checked to see if Suzu's still had their egg salad sandwiches, but they were out, then thought... TENKYU!!! I ordered us both a set, and was not just not disappointed, but definitely made a great decision. Buddy says everything he's ever had from there is FIRE! Hello Kajiken, I am…read morea frequent customer of the Kajiken at UIUC, in Champaign. I am commenting about frequent double charges in taxes without the customer knowing. I always order the Tori Shoyu Ramen, along with Kaedama, and even though the menu itself says the ramen is 17 dollars without tax, the bill inflates the untaxed cost up to 20.19 dollars. For some reason, only the ramen is double taxed as the Kaedama is left unchanged, as it should be, at 4 dollars. At this point, the bill then adds another charge of tax on top, which is simply unheard of. When I reached out to the server to talk about it, he says that it has always been this way (apparently he even spoke to the manager and she said it's fine) and doesn't know how to solve it. No refunds either. There is also no way to contact the manager, as she is out in Chicago and rarely comes back. This is absolutely ridiculous as how am I supposed to file a complaint? The servers have no access in changing a major problem and the manager herself doesn't want to anyone to reach out to her for problems. I am truly disappointed as I was a big fan of the food in Kajiken. I usually would not make such a big deal of this, but as I have come here a lot in the past, I can't help but think of all the times I have been scammed on the prices I have been paying, not to mention the fact that the servers never provide the receipt unless u ask for it. Please fix this problem. I am willing to report this to tax authorities if I have to, as this is clearly a deception of prices.

The meat cut was a little on the tough side but otherwise good. The egg did not have much of a marinated flavor. The staff was quick to serve me and the food came out very fast. The restaurant is very well designed and modern with what appeared to be a cafe on the floor above it. I see other reviews of this place and wish I had tried more of the menu which seems to have turned out better than the ramen did. I will be back to try more!
