Culver's in north Bloomington on Veterans Day this year at lunch was busy but the staff handled everything well and lines kept moving. The dining room was clean and bright. My wife had a single that was an unusual order and I had a double Wisconsin Swiss basket with Gluten Free bun. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Especially nice was the free gift for Veterans which was a double chocolate custard that was absolutely fantastic ! We live in southern Illinois but this was convenient on our way to Chicagoland. I've heard a lot about Culver's and have been dying to try it since I moved here in April. For one reason or another it didn't happen until this past weekend. I absolutely loved it!! Their patties are so good!! you can taste the difference in their meat mix/grind compared to that of other fast food places. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fishtank. I had a saltwater tank for a while and so I can really appreciate the work that goes into this. Very impressive! Food selection is a little better than most fast food chains - they have things like fried chicken, fried walleye dinners in addition to the standard burgers/fries. But food quality is just marginal. The custard is usually good but I had one flavor of the day recently that was strangely 'foamy' not firm and didn't melt. I got it at the drivethru and so didn't have an avenue to protest it right away. I got online and sent them an email about it. But, alas, no response at all after 2 weeks. read more

OK, so Culver's is fast Food and-kind of pricey for fast food but since I try to avoid fast food, it is first choice when we're hungry driving down the highway...and well worth the moneyI so I saw them advertise their Tavern beer cheese double burger with bacon and served on a pretzel bun and I told my wife - that looks disgusting...on TV. For an extra $1.10 swap out a lame old fountain drink for a small Concrete Mixer (their version of the Blizzard). Love the options for mix-ins so come back and keep trying new combos! If you don't do the snack pack you'll find yourself paying more money for fast food than you probably wanted to, but the quality kicks McD's butt so i can't complain too much. Make really delicious custard flavors with daily specials. my all time favorite is orange flavor but none of the flavors have ever disappointed me. Tried there fish burgers at several different occasions. their standard surpasses all the other fast food places. A fast food/ice cream Midwestern chain restaurant. The "Butterburgers" are extremely tasty, but are probably not the healthiest. The ice cream/frozen custard is pretty thick and good, but a bit pricey. This location has an enormous saltwater fish tank in it that our kids love. I ordered the pub burger. I was very dissapointed with what I paid for. Absolutely nothing like it was advertised. Crushed into the bottom of the basket was a greasy sticky mess. Six napkins later and I was still having to deal with fingers coated in syrup. This the second bad visit that I have had at this location. The last time my order was incomplete and the drink dispenser was not properly maintained. For the most part the place was clean although the table I sat at was not cleaned properly. I worked here in high school and during breaks in college. Great food and service!! I can attest to the high quality of ingredients and cleanliness. When I go back to visit I usually order a cheeseburger with the works (ketchup, pickle, onion, mustard) and mayonnaise. The onion rings are my favorite side (dipped in ranch, of course). The beef pot roast sandwich is also a classic favorite. If you are looking for dessert I highly recommend a peach sundae, or a concrete mixer with vanilla custard as the base blended with chocolate syrup, cookie dough, and brownie pieces. read more
