I'm in Bloomington for work and I decided to go to chipotle to grab something to eat. I went to the chipotle's next to the Chick-fil-A first. After getting ignored in bad service in a dirty restaurant, I left there and went down to the other chipotle After standing in that Chipotle and not being acknowledged for at least five minutes, probably more, I decided that I would go across the street to a local pizza place. Upon arriving in there, I learned that he was going to charge me $32 for a 12 inch specialty pizza! Lol no sir, not today. You may be Chicago style, but you're not in Chicago so those prices won't float. After that ordeal, I decided to go to the one place where I know I'll get good service because I always get great service there. Chick-fil-A! Any Chick-fil-A lol. I have not been to Chick-fil-a very often. Maybe once or twice in my life. But, we stopped at the location in Normal, IL while on a road trip, and I'm so glad we did. The employees were all so friendly. The restaurant was full, but there was still an open table for us. The music playing was upbeat. We even had a small vase of fresh flowers on our table from a local florist. I live local businesses supporting each other! At a nearby table, several young employees were gathering either before or after their shifts. They seemed like they were all good friends and it made me smile watching their interactions. I got the deluxe chicken sandwich which looked as good as the photo. I was pleasantly surprised by the Chick-fil-a sauce I'd heard so many people rave about. The waffle fries dipped in that sauce were delicious. Before getting back on the road, I stopped in the restroom. It was clean and bright. And to my surprise, there were diapers and sanitary supplies available for patrons free of charge. What a thoughtful gesture. The whole experience made me feel hope for humanity. Everything I asked for was wrong and when I said it was wrong the cashier was super rude had an attitude the entire time. He did fix it however so I guess that's good. The food took forever like 20 minute so I went to the counter and it was just sitting on a tray on their counter waiting for them to bring it out to us. This is the 2nd time I've ordered Cobb salad and given a few dregs of chicken nuggets instead of what's displayed on the menu. If you're out of nuggets to put on the salad, then don't sell it. Customer service is not what it use to be. I use to frequent Chik-fil-A often, however, more often than not my order was incorrect. They also throw condiments on top of your fries...the same condiments that has touched a thousands hands and whatever else. I wish they would get their act together. I'm taking a break for awhile....food is too expensive and so is gas to return for the correct order. They aren't even a friendly as they use to be. Since they changed owners things have changed. Pretty good food and fast service. For the classic chicken sandwichs, the chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with juicy fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Passing through Bloomington/Normal, we stopped at the Chick-fil-A on Veterans Parkway and VonMaur Dr. We ate on the road as we were headed home to the Chicago area. 2/3rds of the way through my cold chicken wrap, I came across a hair! When I got home I called and spoke to the manager. I got a lame "sorry about that". I asked him to credit my card for, at least, my wrap. He claimed that they aren't allowed to take credit card #s over the phone, so he couldn't do that. The only thing he could do was offer me a free meal next time I came through. (I had already told him I didn't live anywhere near there.) Even if I did, that's the LAST place I would eat. So gross! There are plenty of choices for food in that area. They will NEVER give you the number of sauces you order, which allows 3/item online or the app, but you have to escalate it to a manager to get more than 8 sauces for any order of any size. They'll let you place it at the drive thru and will tell you it's no problem, but you have to hold up the 50+ car line to get the correct number of sauces. This is going back to 2019, over many dozens of orders with many different people, it's always been an issue here. Just don't allow more than 1 sauce per item if that's all you'll give, I buy extra items just to get the sauce. They offer 8oz bottles for sale now, but they're always out of them and they offer the packets for free with items online. This is a real sticking point for me (obviously) as the AP sauce is the whole reason I come here read more

first let me say it was super busy. I could not hear anything the person waiting on me was saying. it was my first time in a Chick-fil-a. I asked for a wrap and a glass of water. after hearing(or trying to hear) what seemed like 12 dressing choices, I just picked one. When I sit down at the table it was then that someone asked what I was drinking, I said water...why would you get water when your drink is included in the meal...I did not order a meal, but sure enough here came the fries with our order, I looked at the receipt and yes charged for a meal. It was way too crowded to go up and explain this. I had no dressing for my wrap even after going through all the choices twice. I tried one of the fries because I had paid for them, ate one and gave the rest away and I am not a picky eater. Not a big fan of paying $8 for a fast food meal. My husband does Doordash and very rarely picks up from here but when he does The wait is ALWAYS 10-15 minutes past it's pickup time. People coming in and ordering and getting their food before he gets his order. They never give him and accurate time on when the order will be up it is always "we're working on it" or "we're backed up" they constantly cut him off by saying "have a great night though!" not the first time he has had issues here, he had an issue a few months ago where the manger said "well what would you like me to do about it?" Chick-fil-A has quality fast food. I like they serve waffle fries instead of regular fries. I always go with the chicken nuggets. They are a lot better than what you'll find at McDonald's. The staff is always friendly. That's one of the refreshing aspects of going there. I'm sure they instructed to be that way but it beats being treated with contempt just for having the nerve to order food. Chick-fil-A can do one thing to improve my experience. Don't make a fruit bowl a replacement option for the waffle fries. My girlfriend called me to ask if I wanted something from there. I was not going to pass that up. I tell her to get me the chicken nugget meal. When she gets home I feel the anticipation building of eating those delicious waffle fries. Then BAM! Second time to a chick-fil-a and this one blew me away. For a fast food restaurant with reasonable prices I was not expecting this! Classy new decor with chandeliers and real flowers on every table. And not just a daisy-bouquets of hydrangeas tastefully arranged. Super clean. Associates everywhere. I ordered #10. It arrived before I even got to my seat. It was excellent. It is kid friendly, with a play place area glasses off from the dining rooms. I was extremely impressed and will look forward to coming here whenever I am in town. read more
