I called about getting a last minute Sunday afternoon appointment- I'm talking prime nail time here. It was raining and getting late but they are open until 7pm here while most in Folsom are closed at 5 or so. They said I could come in 15 minutes so I booked and drove over. The lady was finishing up with someone else when I walked in so I picked my color and a magazine. They don't have a "menu of services" or different types of pedicures, which I found to be unpretentious and refreshing! I didn't know what to expect or not. I was able to plug my phone in when I was set up in the massage chair for my pedicure and enjoyed a great scrub, massage, and hot stones- how nice! She applied my color perfectly and made my toes look so pretty "Pretty Easter color!" she said, which was nice. She looked at my poorly done acrylic fingernails and asked me about them. I told her I was practicing just for fun at home. She have me helpful tips on how to do it better myself at home, how cool! 5 stars just for that! Kim did an excellent job removing the gel manicure I already had on. She took her time shaping my nails and trimming my cuticles just right. I'm really happy with the shape & square shape of my nails. The gel polish was applied very evenly. The salon itself is very clean and organized. I had an appointment for 10:30, and arrived 20 minutes early but was still seen right away. My *only* complaint is when I went to pay and pulled out my debit card, Kim seemed very upset and annoyed that I was paying with card. She told me they preferred cash, but I dont normally carry cash on me. I apologized and told her it was my first time here so I wasnt aware that they preferred cash, but she still seemed very annoyed/angry. So much so that it made me feel uncomfortable. I dont think it is fair for them to become angry with first time customers who are unaware of their cash policy. ESPECIALLY since I had booked my appointment the day before over the phone, and they did not mention it to me then. If it is that big of a deal, please inform your new customers ahead of time. They have nice massage chairs and a relaxing setting with art and a large screen TV playing a video of beautiful nature scenes and lovely music. This is a long awaited review but I'm still dealing with the consequences of having gone here. My mom and I went here to get pedicures back in December. It was in the evening and we called to ask if it'd be okay if we come in in 15 minutes. They said yes but it took a bit longer because my mom had to finish up a phone call. The lady proceeds to berate us for the first 10 minutes of our pedicures because of this even though the salon was empty. Not exactly the soothing or welcoming experience you want at a salon. So everything seems fine and we leave. But I notice my big toe hurts a bit. I think nothing of it, thinking maybe the cuticle just got cut a little too much. Well, no. I got an infection! I didn't even realize it until a month later when I went to take off the nail polish and realize that that toenail hadn't grown at all. I took off the polish and sure enough, I could tell it was infected. So I had to spend my time and money going to urgent care and taking antibiotics (which should be used sparingly and can have side effects) all because of a stupid pedicure. I am still fuming about this. My toe is still growing out the infected part so I probably won't even be able to get a pedicure again until next year. Do not go here. For the sake of your sanity, money, time, and health. read more

From the initial soak, to the scrub and the massaging of the lotion into my calves. I wear heels daily so it was especially nice to have the arch of my foot massaged to get the foot to relax. It had been way too long since my last manicure and my nails now look fantastic. On the fly, two of us were able to add waxing to our appointments. I had my eye brows and upper lip done. I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment for right when they opened due to someone canceling. It was meant to be! I have never felt so comfortable in a nail salon before. Kim was very gentle and detailed. You can tell that she really cares and takes pride in her work. I would highly recommend this salon. I came here based on the amazing reviews. I had high hopes that I would be leaving with the best acrylic pink/white nails for my formal event. I left the salon with 4 cut cuticles and the trashiest looking nails. I even pointed out to her a chunk of the white missing and her reply was "that happens." First time I came here for a pedicure, this was around Mothers Day weekend, Kim's husband did a pedicure for me but didn't get to finish bcuz She, (Kim) decided to take over which I wish she didn't bcuz she rushed into my pedi, did such a bad job that my nail polish was already coming off within 20 min after I left the nail salon.
