I came here to do my nails for my wedding and it was my first time. the lady who worked on my nails made my ombre nails so fat and chunky, she was getting my skin when she did the nail buffing and cut my skin. She wasn't happy when I asked her to correct my nails and even after she tried to correct it, it looked even worse than before. Made an appt for two pedicures. I was rushed for the second I entered. Pick a color, pick a color, we are ready, pick a color. Tried push me toward higher option. I said no thanks. My feet were scrubbed for five seconds, literally. At the end my toes were painted and no fan was placed to help dry. The other staff grabbed a fan put on my toes. The staff doing my nail came back no less than 3 minutes (she went to bathroom) and turned off the fan and put on my shoes. Then lifted the arm held her hand out. No less than 40m out the door I didn't book the express manicure. Not to add that my pedicure was started five min after my friends, but hey she "caught up" so it finished at the same time. Lady doing my nails was nice, but she made me bleed on 3 different fingers and was aggressive with cuticles. My nails chipped super quickly (much quicker than other times) with regular non-gel polish, and my cuticles are dry and peeling. My mom and I were walk ins a couple weeks ago. I live in Dallas and was in town wanting to get mani pedis with my mom. As soon as we walked in everyone was so nice and welcoming. I really wanted a teddy bear brown and JANNIE went above and beyond to finding the color I wanted! Super patient and did my nails exactly how I wanted them! My mom also got a pedicure and her lady I believe Cindy was amazing. My mom just had hip surgery a month prior and let's say her feet needed some love! i really like this place. All the nail techs are super nice and friendly. The facility is clean which is nice. What i love the most that other nails salons dont do is that they honor appts. Every other nail salon it seems like it doesnt matter if you get an appt or not they will always treat you like a walk in. This place is awesome. Normally when I make an appt I dont have to wait long. The only thing is I forget to tip in cash. So if you go here I suggest trying to remember tipping in cash even if you pay iwith card. This was my go to spot. It's definitely been a while since I got my nails done. So, I wasn't surprised that my original technician wasn't there. I wanted acrylic with gel polish. The color I wanted was cat eye purple and black. I was disappointed with the results because it didn't quite end up looking like the sample. I thought maybe it varied depending on the person (like getting your hair dyed). But because the acrylic was high from the cuticle, I decided to get it fixed at another salon. Use at your own risk. Been coming here for a while now on and off and wow have they changed. The front desk lady is the worst, just so rude! They sneak in charges AFTER the service and don't tell you until it's time to pay, despite my attempts to clarify many times beforehand, then she'll argue with you in such a rude way, saying that you should've already known. I told them I didn't want a full manicure BEFORE the tech even started and that I only wanted a cuticle cut, like I have had before a couple of times, and the tech said that was okay. However, AFTER she cut them, she went over to the front desk lady who told her to charge me for a full manicure anyway. They should have told me BEFORE the service, the moment I asked for it, that they were going to charge a full manicure regardless of NOT getting a full manicure and that they couldn't do just a cuticle trim anymore. Instead, the front desk lady kept arguing with me. Even my husband who was with me witnessed it and said, "she told you she didn't want a full manicure but you're charging her for it anyway? Why didn't you just say so to begin with?" And the front desk lady acknowledged the tech said it was okay but admitted to changing that after anyway, LOL. They should've honored what the tech told me because that was her error if things changed. My friend said they did the same thing to her with added charges AFTER the service. I guess they are hurting for instant cash over happy repeat customers. If you're new, especially to the area, stay away. There's a ton of better places in the area that don't have shady business practices! Or I guess just use at your own risk! Also, editing this to say: the problem was the CHANGE to the charges AFTER the service, despite my statements to clarify many times, the tech confirming beforehand. I would've said no to being charged for a full manicure when I didn't get or want a full manicure. AND no one requested to pay only $5, I told her that ONE of the times I had it done there before, it was an add on charge to my pedicure ***eye roll*** ...Would you really be okay with confirming the price of a service then it gets changed on you AFTER the fact?! This place seemed very promising considering the reviews and the beautiful spa, but upon arrival that view did very much change. I came to get a builder gel fill mani and a color change pedi, the lady who was to do my pedi confirmed what i was there to do and i explained i wanted a matching mani/pedi, that i loved the shape i had, wanted french and to keep it that way. She didn't seem to understand what i wanted, so i explained further, they said to pick whatever colors i wanted and we could get started. She began to take the previous work i had and even commented it was pretty, but she had the toughest time figuring out what to even do to take it off, so much so she had another lady do it for her as she watched. It wasn't until i suggested to soak it in remover that it actually came off. But during that point i felt so uncomfortable, i had three people towering over me, that i was just ready to go home, but unfortunately i couldn't. Plus to make it worse i felt at that moment, they were talking poorly about it, (maybe thats just my head ) even laughing and throwing equipment in frustration, which was too much for me. In the end, the colors i wanted didn't work, even after asking their opinion, so i don't have my matching set, they charged for french on my toes, though it is not visible, and they truly didn't seem to care for a good experience. I noticed only when i went to pay had they saw i was visibly upset and asked me, i was honest saying i simply just wanted to leave. They did offer to fix the toes but i had been there for almost 3 hours already and was on the verge of tears, i wanted to go home and the struggle was not worth my time. i appreciate the offer and the trial but the amount of error for something that should've been simple was not for me. I felt embarrassed, frustrated and on blast, I would recommend this place if they can improve their listening skills and customer service because some of the ladies were sweet, and they do have some potential, but until then i unfortunately would not come again. read more

Even though I've had different manicurist the service is always the same. The owner, Lynn, is present and oversees everything. Today I went in for a pedicure and I was so happy with the job Cathy did. Even though I only had an appointment for a pedicure I asked to add a manicure and they accommodated me. I tend to be very picky with my nails and customer service is important to me. I have always enjoyed my experience at this salon. The total was $55 for my services today. Currently sitting in the chair while these women are talking badly about myself and the bridal party that booked with them. We called weeks prior and scheduled our appts in advance. All together. They told other clients we were "too loud" in front of us. I understand the concern but you can ask us to keep it down. Additionally you knew in advance that 7 women would be coming in for both manicures and pedicures. The women who did my acrylics was rough and didn't even lotion my hands. The woman who did my toes was sweet but additionally didn't complete the services as listed. We wanted to bring business in and unfortunately I believe we chose the wrong Folsom nail salon to support. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I know none of us will be returning for services. If you are wondering why we all left 10% or lower of tip, it was because you did not give us everything included in our services and additionally you rushed through the process. Please remember you agreed and accepted a deposit for our appointments at 3:30 and 5:30. If you couldn't accommodate these times, or tried to refuse the last appointments including my own, you should've said that when we called. read more
