Very disappointed with my manicure. My manicurist was Adam. The menu says all manicures include massage and cuticle care, but I received neither--no water bowl, hand washing, or cuticle trimming. The service felt very rushed, and the same tools appeared to be used from the previous customer. I mentioned this at the end, and Adam told me those services weren't included, despite the menu clearly stating otherwise. I left with my cuticles rough and in shards. So far my nails have been pretty good from here but this place has changed so much since it opened. So nice and accommodating at first but front desk service has really gone down hill. In particularly Kim. Whenever Kim is at the front desk she is pretty rude. I have done my nails the same way for many years...and for a couple of years at Nail Resort. Now every time I come Kim gives me grief about who does my nails and the way I want to do them. Granted I don't get design or anything fancy just a new set. I call and make my appt and say what I would like and the guy who answers the phone is polite and schedules the appt. But when I come for my appt Kim rushes me and tells me they don't want to do my nails that way. The way I have been doing them forever. It's not about the price because I said I'm happy to pay but Kim gives me grief and says it takes too long. Well then why let me schedule the appointment?! The nail technician is always happy to do my nails and is confused why it was an issue. I came to Nail Chateau in Eldorado Hills and she works there too! This time she made me wait 40 mins. If I'm more than 2 mins late at Nail Resort she calls me and asks where I am in frenzy. Part of the service they advertise is punctuality but Kim could care less that she makes me wait 40 mins. I hear Kim will be working at a new nail location they are building by Folsom Ranch. Maybe she's the owner? I hesitated to write this because I understand things can't be perfect all the time but I never have an issue when she is not there. I feel like an inconvenience when Kim is there. Their prices aren't cheap so at the very least I would hope to feel like I wasn't an inconvenience when I'm a regular customer. Not to mention I never tip less than 25%-30%. If I didn't like the girl that does my nails I would NEVER go back. But honestly I am getting recommendations for new places. read more

Should have read the reviews before going. Went with my daughter for pedicures and both of ours started chipping with in an hour of leaving. Not what I would expect after paying $88 (.tip separately). We had a great experience a year ago but sadly it did not feel the same. The hot stone massage was disappointing only lasting about a minute on each leg. My tech kept answering her cell phone while doing my pedicure . Didn't bother me too much but I I am paying for you to do a service. So if that's something that would upset you, I would consider that. There's a few better places in the area that we will be going to and they are better with kids. Sadly we won't be returning to this location again. read more

Sadly had one of the worst pedis ever :( As a service provider myself, I do my best to be patient and kind, and to speak up when needed. It took 2 full hours for a regular polish pedi. It kept getting smudged by multiple nail techs touching it. At one point I had 8 layers of polish on one toe. I expressed that I was unhappy, and they tried to resolve the issue multiple times. Decided to try this salon as moved to the area a few months ago and still looking for my go to nail salon. Prices seemed higher than other salons but thought maybe service would be superior so worth a visit. I called in the morning and made an appointment for 4pm. Was running a few minutes late so called to let them know. Was told to come between 4:30 - 4:45 instead, and I said ok. Arrived at salon and waited for 20 minutes. Was told they couldn't do a pedicure any longer but just the manicure, which was disappointing as I'd made the reservation for both. At 5pm they told me someone should be finishing up soon. I made an appointment for 2:00 pm i got there 5 minutes early and still had to wait 15 minutes just to get seated with someone, two people walked in with no appointment right when i walked in and got seated before me. Then the lady that did my nails did a horrible job! She did not size them correctly, did not do the acrylic correctly it came out super thick, and round when i asked for square... nail polish everywhere i mean just horrible. Very disappointed. The person doing my nails, who I believe was a manager, repeatedly answered phone calls and sat texting directly in front of me throughout my appointment. My nails looked rushed, uneven, and poorly done. When I pointed out the issues, she left to help someone else at the front desk instead of addressing the problem. She only attempted to fix the edges, even though the entire manicure was poorly done. In the end, I asked them to remove the polish because I knew I could do a better job myself at home. Despite that, they still charged me $20 just to trim and file my nails. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

Made appointment's for my daughter and I and mentioned on the phone she would be there for children's services. When we checked in they asked my daughter's age and I said she was 10. Nothing else mentioned by them. I go to pay and they charged me the normal full price for her pedicure (whatever, not a huge deal) but what really got me was $20 to have her fingers painted. No polish removal, no manicure. Just polish. I asked the front desk if that was a typo and they said due to her being 10 years old she pays adult pricing. TWENTY DOLLARS for a child to have her nails painted is absolutely freaking absurd. It's one thing not to notify me prior to starting the appointment that she didn't qualify for children's services but it's another to think that $20 for nail polish for a kid (or adult for that matter) is acceptable. read more

I also specifically said I did not want my cuticles cut, but they cut them anyway. Now I'm dealing with painful hangnails, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. On top of that, the builder gel has not held up well. One of my nails already broke, and the overall quality feels poor. The customer service was also uncomfortable. My nail tech left to work on another customer, leaving me for about 30 minutes. When he finally returned and began working on my nails again, the nail dip he was using was causing a burning sensation on my natural nails. I mentioned this to him and he replied "Oh that's normal". I have had this service done before elsewhere and I have never experienced a burning sensation and so intense as I did when he was doing them. Super happy that they were able to fit the 3 of us in for last minute pedicures. My friends just did a level 3 pedicure with no polish for $55.00 - which came with everything and hot stones. Super comfy. Don't be shy and let them know how to adjust the temperature. And woah they gave us shoulder warm compresses. It was sooooo comfortable. I did level 3 with gel ($71) and brought my own little Sanrio sticker and Tiffany was oh so nice to apply it for me. I had coco white gel polish. Tiffany is one of the few nail techs that doesn't paint over the line, nor clump the polishes. She did a really phenomenal job because milky white is challenging to paint, as well. Services by Lily and Eva were stellar. Lily gave me the most beautiful pedicure ever and Eva's manicure with a builder gel fill came out flawless- not thick, just perfect and very natural looking.
