Used services for a long distance move from BOSTON to Jersey and move went as planned. The team was very accommodating and pricing was very competitive. Everything was delivered at the destination in one piece and team was professional to work with. read more

These guys are the absolute best!!!! I had been searching for a moving company and had lots of calls out waiting for someone to get back to me with a quote. I was running out of time fast, with just under a week until I needed to move. By chance, I had seen a posting for Poseidon Moving on a Saturday afternoon. Not thinking that I had a chance in the world with such short notice, I called anyway. Oleg was a my hero. He had the date and time available that I needed and the rate that he quoted was fair and reasonable. There was no pressure and he let me get back to him with my decision. That was refreshing. On the day of the move, Oleg and Tony kept me updated as to their whereabouts due to being stuck in traffic. When they showed up, they were perfect professionals. They did a walk-through with me and we talked about the job and exactly what the plan for the day would be. With the job being larger than we first anticipated, Oleg came to me and went over options of bringing on another guy, Max, or the job taking long which may have cost me more. Again, all very professional and much appreciated. Oleg, Tony, and Max moved everything down from my 3rd floor apartment, including a washing machine and dryer in no time at all. Then, when they arrived at my new apartment (also on the 3rd floor), they moved everything in twice as fast. They even offered to put everything together and help to arrange the furniture. I would highly recommend Poseidon Moving to anyone that is planning to move or if you know anyone that needs to move. These guys are top-notch. The best of the best. read more

Believe all the 5-star reviews -- these guys are the best! I had to do a Boston-to-NYC move with one week's notice, and after calling 17 other movers whose schedules were (understandably) already full, Poseidon said they could fit me in. On the day of, Slava and Demetrios were the perfect movers -- courteous, incredibly efficient, and they left precisely zero scratches on the walls on the way out. When we arrived at my new building and found that another moving truck was unloading and using the freight elevator (despite our reserving the space in advance), they took it completely in stride, even though this was a big hassle for them (they had to park farther away from the entrance, and then use the normal, smaller elevator). Great attitudes! Even though this added probably an hour to their moving time, they agreed to accept more money than their quote only after I repeatedly insisted. Some moving companies are out to scam you -- these guys are the exact opposite! Moving stuff in, they made sure they put all the boxes in the right rooms, and assembled the bed and other furniture like pros. Smooth as silk. I could not recommend Poseidon Movers more strongly. Incredible customer service both on the phone and in person, very reasonable prices, super friendly, and great at what they do! read more

Everyone I interacted with, from the office staff to the movers, were friendly and courteous. The inventory and quote was easy to get and they price matched another service I was considering. The movers were very nice and worked fast. The furniture was delivered 16 days later all the way across the country, no damages. As stress free as moving 3,000 gets. read more

We paid for them to pack and move, and despite a quite generous prepayment on the moving suppiles -- $800 for supplies! -- they charged us with additional fees and costs the day of the packing, with the moving still to come. They were somewhat haphazard about making sure that items ended up in the right rooms -- but the worst part was unpacking and finding that they had written on multiple items of furniture in permanent marker. Yikes! That's not coming out! read more

Wow. These guys were amazing! So friendly and did all of the work. My husband was out of town and I have a neck injury and I hardly lifted a finger. Really great prices, and quick too! They were training a new guy and so i had three for the price of two! Also only charged me for 20 minutes travel time on the way to my storage unit even though it took them over 30 minutes because of traffic. I really appreciated that! Thanks Tony, Gary and Surge, you guys rock! read more

This is the second time I've used Poseidon Moving - they're professional, quick, and reasonably priced. I would definitely use them again and recommend to friends. I've used them for both inter-state and local moves. Customer service in preparing for the move was great, and Rudy and Andrew were outstanding on the move itself! read more

We just used Poseidon to move door-to-door from Urbana, IL to Cambridge, MA. This is a no nonsense moving company. Everyone was so courteous and professional. The price is very fair and affordable. They are also flexible in accommodating necessary changes in our plans. I'd like to praise Nico, Jay, and Clovis in their excellent and effective customer service. I highly recommend them and I am very grateful for their work during the pandemic. Oh one small note: their website was a bit buggy when I tried listing my inventory, but Nico was able to help sort things out. read more

These guys are awesome! I have only written one other review in the past couple years and I feel that Poseidon definitely deserves a good review. I wasn't sure when I was initially moving and once I found out what day I only had 2 weeks until the move, but they were able to fit me into their schedule. On top of that, they are very well priced, especially when you compare to other moving companies in the Boston/Brookline area. I moved yesterday and they were incredibly fast! They took great care of all of my furniture (bed, sleep-couch, large dresser, desk, mirror, etc.) by wrapping everything in blankets, tape, and saran wrap. And moving everything up to a third floor apartment felt just as fast as moving out of my old 1st floor apt and they completed the whole move in 2 hours! If I ever need to move again, I'm definitely going to hire Poseidon Moving again, and I highly suggest anyone else who is moving to hire them. Thank you for the stress-free and easy move! read more

I had some difficulty with my move but Oleg reached out and made it right. Good business as far as I am concerned. I will use them again. Thanks. read more

Nothing more important about moving than working with a company you can trust! Poseidon Moving was extremely professional during my move and made the whole process seem so seamless! I know how stressful it can be leaving your valuables in the hands of strangers, but the movers took great care of my items at a great price! Definitely recommend! read more

Reasonable pricing, and very communicative leading up to and on the morning of the move. The movers were great and we will be using them again! Highly recommend. read more

Moving on September 1st is always a nightmare in Boston, and I had been wary of hiring movers because I knew it would be expensive. I looked around multiple places until I found Poseidon, which offered the best deal and had great reviews. Any questions or voicemails I had left for Oleg prior to my move were promptly answered and clearly explained. The day of my move, I received a phone call an hour before the movers arrived. Poseidon provided 3 movers for $130 an hour! I was only moving 5 minutes down the road, and the guys had everything out of my old apartment and in to my new place in two hours flat! I cannot say enough good things about Poseidon. They made a stressful day so much easier, and the movers were incredibly professional. Also, not one thing was damaged or broken during the move. I cannot say enough good things about Poseidon and would book them again in a heartbeat! read more

Slava did an incredible job moving me out of my fourth floor walk up apartment. They were careful, fast and great to work with. Highly recommend. read more

I'm a month behind writing this review but want just want to commend Alex, Efrim and Vlad for a job well done! The guys showed up early (which is a plus in my book) and were very responsible and efficient with our move. They took great care in loading and unloading our items from the truck. Hopefully I wont have to move anytime soon, but if I did, I would be sure to ask for these guys! read more

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Let me start by saying I've avoided moving for 4 years, despite rent increase, because I hate moving. I finally took the plunge. I found Poseidon on Groupon. I submitted my estimate online , including pictures of my items. The day before the move, I had an overwhelming sense of dread and called Alex in a panic. I actually told him that I'd rather get my teeth pulled without Novocain, then pack and move. He reassured me they would do FULL packing and added an additional man to help. On the move day, they called 30 minutes out and arrived at promptly 8am. I actually left to do an errand and came back. By that time everything was packed and in the truck. The unloading process took 45 minutes. Great guys!!! Hardworking, NO attitude, NO complaining. The final price was under the estimate by half. I wish I could give them 10 stars! read more

Amazing movers - made the process easy and stress-free! Our movers were incredibly courteous, professional, and friendly. They loaded and unloaded the truck within 2 hours for a one-bedroom apartment. They wore masks the entire time and would not walk in the house without first placing blankets on the ground. Would definitely recommend for excellent service at a very fair price. read more

Used Poseidon to move out of our apartment and into our first home and despite it clearly being the end of a long day they were great. Carefully wrapping up everything, putting everything where we asked, very careful with all our stuff, and very friendly. Peter, Ben and Andres were all we could ask for. read more

Do not hire this company. At first, everything seemed fine. My account manager, Paul was responsive when I called with questions up until my moving date. On the day I was scheduled to move (5/28 between 1-4pm), a mover called me to say he'll arrive later around 6pm. While I had plans, I said that was fine and waited. 6pm came and went. I called back asking for an update, and the mover seemed surprised and said, "Oh, no one called you? I'm done for the day, but maybe we can come tomorrow. Someone will call you soon with an update." At this point I'm confused as to how they can just forget about a customer, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I waited for a call that never came. The next morning, Paul calls me and says he thinks a team will come later today, but he can't give me an estimate as to when. I had to cancel my plans for the day but agreed. I waited until 6pm, at which point I had attempted to contact Paul/Poseidon throughout the day for an update, but the line was continuously "busy". I finally decide to call the mover out of desperation to reach ANYONE at this company and to my surprise, he says he's on his way, but he's in traffic. He finally arrives around 7pm alone saying they're understaffed, etc. While I'm extremely frustrated, I tip him well as he was fast and this wasn't technically his fault. I had less than a day to clean the apartment and fly to my new city, but I figure at least my things are now gone and on their way. Over the next couple of days, I try to contact Paul/Poseidon via email and phone, but their line is continuously busy and no one gets back to me. I finally try my account page through their website, where someone else named Jann responds to me 5 days later. Again, they are unable to provide me with an exact date, so I continuously have to schedule and cancel my freight elevator in my new apartment and call out of work. They had initially stated that the last possible date they would deliver was 6/7 (7 days since they originally took my belongings) and confirmed that would be the date, but that day came and went. I had to once again, waste a day off from work waiting around and had to cancel my freight elevator reservations. I ask for a discount and THIS is when Oleg, a different manager decides to actually call me and says that the new estimate is next week, around 6/16-6/17...... He is only willing to give me $250 off despite this massive delay. I had a vacation scheduled that week for my birthday, but now I had to cancel that, not to mention take more time off work at a moment's notice for whenever they could come. He again said he couldn't give me an estimate. After repeatedly getting in touch with Jann (who is wonderful and was the only person regularly communicating with me - Paul has apparently just forgotten that he's my account manager?), Jann assures me that the movers are coming June 16th in the afternoon. With this reassurance, I took the day off from work and schedule my freight elevator. However, Oleg calls me again saying they "might" come later today, or possibly tomorrow as they have other moves in my city (How/why they would prioritize a different customer over one they forgot about and then delayed repeatedly for over 2 weeks is beyond me...). I am furious at this point, so he gives me a $150 discount but says he can't do anything more than that. The mover then calls me at 4pm that day saying he's arriving around 5:30-6 so I change my freight elevator reservation once again. Unsurprisingly, they are late and my apartment management is as frustrated as I am. They finally arrive, but it takes them about an hour to actually start moving my items. They finish around 9pm. Immediately after I pay and tip, I get an automated email from Paul (LOL) asking me to rate the service. In short, expect zero communication and late delivery. [I also suspect they're removing reviews as I saw several bad reviews removed and suddenly a flurry of good ones.] read more

Hands down this was the best experience I've ever had. They were early, efficient, professional, and very neat with all my belongings. They wrapped all my furniture so well and were very fast!! I will honestly never use another moving company again unless it's them!! Five stars for sure. read more

I was really happy with the services provided by Poseidon. They properly wrapped all my furniture and magically made it all fit into a POD. They were careful with everything and incredibly speedy. Would use again! read more

An overall excellent experience. I've used other moving companies before and have encountered inexperienced folks who don't know how to handle large items, and/or unprofessional movers who don't take the job seriously-- NONE of that was true for Poseidon. Ivan and Yarik were very helpful and professional. They arrived on time and were very efficient. Booking was a breeze. Received an extremely fair hourly rate, final charges were true to the initial quote. All items and boxes were handled with care. Will definitely book again if I need movers, and will recommend to anyone I know. read more

Similar to others, my experience with Poseidon Moving (PM) was very positive. On August 29th, my wife and I moved from the North Shore to Waltham. Though hesitant, we decided to hire movers for the first time. In the past we had moved ourselves with the help of friends. Due to their stellar reviews, we decided to try PM, and we could not be happier. Slava & Kevin arrived on time and began working immediately. They kept a feverish pace throughout the day without being reckless, making sure all of our possessions arrived at our new home intact. Further, both Slava and Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, spending extra time at the end of the day to make sure our furniture was placed in our new home how and where we liked. All this, and priced significantly lower than the big name moving companies in the Boston area. Needless to say, we will definitely be using PM the next time we move. read more

I posted a review about a year ago about my experience with this moving company and see that my post was removed. I just do not want for anyone to have the same terrible experience I had with a company that appears to have an almost perfect rating on yelp. We scheduled a move to our new apartment several hours before the curfew they set so that neighbors are not disturbed by the noise. The movers showed up about 3 hours late with no apologies or explanation, making an unprofessional, embarrassing, and frustrating experience I did not expect from a well-rated moving company. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with Poseidon Moving was too negative not to share. They were polite and courteous when taking my order and giving me the estimate for the cost of my cross-country move. As soon as the job was booked, things changed for the worse. They tried to add extra fees to my bill even though I had given them an itemized list of my belongings and boxes, and packed to their exact specifications. I never received any tracking information about my truck or an inventory of the boxes, so I had no way of knowing where they were, if they were going to arrive on time (they did not), or if they had lost anything along the way. What's more, the moving crew broke the majority of my furniture (to the point where it needed to be replaced). I was told that the foreman of my move would take care of reporting those accidents; what happened instead is when I inquired as to why I was still being charged full price, it turned out that nothing was ever reported and I was basically called a liar and told that "there are two sides to every story." It took me weeks to finally get a straight answer from the claims department--run by someone unapologetic, insincere, and rude--and all I was given was $200 off an $8100 move. When I tried to reason with them, they claimed that because I didn't purchase the extra insurance (which would have added an additional $6,000 to my final bill), I didn't have a leg to stand on and should have expected my belongings to arrive to my new home in disrepair. I never received an apology or anything other than several condescending conversations about how "rough" moving is, and how accidents happen. The only thing the moving crews care about is how fast they can get out of your home and to their next job, and how much they shove into the truck to maximize space. My boxes--including ones clearly marked "fragile"--arrived clearly having been thrown around and crushed, and the furniture they wrapped arrived unusable because they have no respect for anyone's belongings or anyone's time other than their own. I would not recommend their services to anyone, especially if you actually hope to be able to use your things when you get to your new place. read more

Oleg and Max helped me move this morning, and they were fantastic! They got to my apartment right on time at 9:15, which I was really nervous about because I had to be at work by noon. I had a small bedroom on the third floor to move, which consisted of a queen bed, a nightstand, a large dresser, a 3-cube storage bench, and a small AC unit. From the moment they got there, it took them exactly 25 minutes to pack everything--impressive! They were very polite and the price was very reasonable. If I have to move again in the Boston area, I'll definitely use them again. Thanks, guys! read more

they r really nice team, and helped me move my stuff from brookline to quince in 2hrs, excellent service. You can pay cash to have discounts. highly recommend. read more

Poseidon was fantastic to work with. When I first contacted them I was uncertain about the exact date of my move but they were very flexible with my uncertainty. The parking in my apartment complex was a nightmare because of construction, but they were patient and easily maneuvered the truck into an open spot. Oleg and Alex were incredibly efficient and kind. They handled my possessions with care while quickly loading the truck. When we arrived at the new house they were also patient with my erratic box labels and my needing to direct each piece of furniture to different rooms on different floors. I can't imagine the experience having gone any better! read more

They scammed us out of approximately $200 by charging a 3% credit card fee. For our packing, Alex told us we could get a cash discount off the quoted price, so we paid for the packing with cash to receive the discount. For the actual moving services, we were told we must pay with a credit card due to the large amount and thus could not receive a discount for using cash. They also would not accept a check or Venmo. Fair enough. But then Poseidon charged us an additional 3% fee for using a credit card to pay for the move. The movers were very good (we tipped around $600 total for the packing/move), and we did not want to hold them up so we grudgingly paid the extra $200. Alex claimed a credit card fee is a routine charge, but we use credit for virtually every transaction and this is the first time we have had to pay an additional fee over the stated/quoted price. To us, this is outrageous. read more

Bought a Groupon for 2 hours of moving service. No restrictions on dates listed but when I called to book, it is only valid on the first and last day of the month (ie. peak time in their calendar). Paid $175 for a Groupon which is worth $320 on peak days. If I want to use it on a non-peak day which is $200, why does the company care unless they are trying to make it hard for people to use the Groupon. It still saves me money over their posted rates. Anyways, they refused and I had to get a refund from Groupon. I'll find someone else. read more

By far the best moving experience I've ever had. The guys were quick, super nice, and treated all our things like they were their own. The guys wrapped everything extremely well and loaded everything very carefully. Price was more than reasonable and moving an entire apartment from East Boston to Cambridge took about 3.5 hours. Cannot recommend their service enough. read more

I've made lots of moves in lots of cities, and these guys were hands down the best. Slightly less expensive than everyone else we looked into (and even cheaper if the Yelp voucher is available), their work was perfect. The 2 people we had booked showed up EXACTLY on time; if you're like me you know that showing up early is almost as big of a hassle as showing up late, so I really appreciated this. They didn't tack on extra charges (but be aware that if you're paying with a credit card, they will charge a nominal service fee), and they worked quickly and efficiently, and everything made it through in one piece. The guys that came out were also quite friendly and respectful. And, to my mind, the best thing was how responsive Oleg (who I assume is the owner, but could be the manager) was. Responded to emails and phone calls immediately, and just great. All in all, they made moving as easy as it can be. read more

Unfortunately, we have been having a lot of issues with Poseidon moving. What was said to us over the phone in terms of pricing changed the day of when we had no other options. A lot of little extra fees are added on that they initially said were included. Also, communication has been incredibly slow. We have been trying to confirm a move date and didn't hear back but of course now everything is booked. They seem to be nice but unorganized and the added fees/changing prices make it seem like they are hiding information until your stuck with using them. read more

Fantastic and friendly moving service! I used them for a local move from Brookline to Brighton and could not have been happier! They are fast, efficient, and very careful with furniture! They go over the quote and bill one-on-one to make sure the customer is aware of every charge. They do all the heavy lifting and even offered to help pack. The company allows for overnight storage, which I used, and they shipped me my boxes a week before my move. They are responsive to emails and phone calls as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this moving company and would absolutely use them again in the future. Hands down the easiest move I've ever done, thanks to Poseidon movers! read more

Couldn't have asked for a better moving experience! They showed up on time, moved all of my heavy furniture down several flights of stairs in a very narrow apartment in Boston with such ease. Didn't hear one complaint from either of the 2 male movers. They even made some jokes! Moving is one of the least enjoyable tasks there are and this moving company made it easy as can be. On top of that, the men moved quickly which helped me keep the price down. It was so affordable, I'm not sure why everyone doesn't use these guys! They even helped me assemble the bed frames and kitchen table. Those projects would have taken triple the amount of time it took them. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend! read more

This was the worst moving experience I've ever had in my entire life. Poseidon Moving & Storage is incompetent and unprofessional; it is unfathomable to me how this company is still in business. To begin with, they didn't show up on the scheduled day of moving. They didn't call or email to say they weren't showing up and I sat there the entire day trying to get in contact with no luck. When they did finally show up the next day, they were understaffed in personnel/moving materials and showed up late again. They moved my items into storage for 2 months before I moved into my next apartment. When they delivered my stuff to the new place and I started to unpack, I realized that my things had been rained on or had somehow gotten wet. Over $4,000 worth of inventory was destroyed from mold and water damage. They were hard to get in touch with and then only offered $200 for the trouble, saying that it was not their fault. Use them at your own peril. read more

I've moved 5 times in the past 6 years and I just got downright sick of moving on my own. I decided to treat myself and hire movers this time. I found a Groupon deal and purchased the $175 deal for $320 (I think) worth of moving services. Groupon did not indicate that this deal was only meant to be used on peak moving days (first and last days of the month) and I discovered this was the case when I called Poseidon to book their services. They didn't have any availability on the day that I wanted to move, which happened to be a peak day, and I wasn't able to use the $175 Groupon on a non-peak day. Fortunately, I was somewhat flexible with my moving day. I wasn't able to get a refund from Groupon for the $175, but I did get Groupon bucks, which I was mildly annoyed about, but more toward Groupon not Poseidon. I ended up purchasing the $50 Groupon for $100 of service to use on a non-peak day. The booking process was really easy and Oleg was very responsive to my questions. Fortunately, I don't have a lot of things and nothing that was terribly difficult to move. Since I've never hired movers before, I didn't quite know what to expect. My moving men, Slava and Misha, were very considerate and asked me what I wanted moved, wrapped (if it wasn't obvious), and where to place items in the new place. They were very efficient. So efficient that my bill was half as much as what I expected it to be even with the Groupon discount. There were no hidden fees and Oleg explains any additional costs, which for me was only travel time. If I need movers again, I will definitely use them again. read more

I found my experience with Poseidon to be greatly less than. They did accommodate a last-minute scheduled move. I was moving my 1 bedroom apartment less than 1 mile away. The price was good and I used a Groupon. However, you get what you pay for. They took furniture apart that did not need to be taken apart. They wrapped everything in cellophane when they should have used quilts. They were inefficient (mainly because they were taking apart furniture). The supervisor disappeared. I have notified them of missing items, but no response. I would not recommend these movers. read more

They were on time. Efficient and moved quickly. Very kind and professional too. I definitely recommend Poseidon and would use them again.

WORST experience ever!!! I agreed to pay a high flat rate of $3,830 (which is deceptive b/c this consists of 10% of flat rate for deposit then 90% PLUS a "2% convenience fee" final payment... this is not explained upon agreement!) to move a 1 bedroom just 55 miles CT to NYC because I thought it'd be worth it given the good reviews... nope! I was sent 1 guy instead of 3, despite calling multiple times leading up to my move to detail my building's strict move-in timing and being promised 3 guys that'd get my stuff to NYC no later than 1pm. Only 1 showed up (Sean - he was incredible and this review has nothing to do with him! Just the stupid company he works for). They kept saying more were on the way and we'd make it in time. I got increasingly stressed as no one else showed and knew that I couldn't move in past 5pm and since it was a holiday weekend, I would have to wait until Tuesday and what would happen to my stuff??? This was all clearly explained to Poseidon ahead of time yet they didn't care at all as I dealt with this crazy stress. My new building manager told me I wasn't allowed to move in. I was sitting alone in my apartment with my dog sobbing and making a terrible 1st impression. I had to get the owner of my apartment involved to help me get an extension and am incredibly lucky I was able to get one as the truck finally arrived after 5pm, but I still feel so uncomfortable for this horrible start to my living situation. I called Poseidon so many times during the day for assistance and to figure out what to do when I wouldn't be allowed to move in but they either ignored my calls entirely or were SILENT on the phone, except for a few "I'm sorry's". This was so beyond unacceptable. They gave me "5%" off (in actuality, under 3% off the flat rate quote I originally received!) for this headache and treatment and nothing can undo the damage to my relationship with my new building manager/landlord. I also still tipped well of course because this wasn't Sean's fault but the whole moving cost and fiasco was outrageous. This was UNACCEPTABLE. Also, 2 paintings were still on the truck and had to be returned to me the following day. I never write reviews, especially not poor ones but I have to save the next person from this sham of a company. read more
